Yeah, we got a letter through in September with a questionnaire to complete and return and it said that we'd get an appointment within 12 weeks. Not heard anything since then. Had the same thing from maxillofacial a few weeks later and I have an appointment so guessing the waiting lists are longer.

Hope it works for you this time.

Can I join in the feeling crappy fest with everyone else? I don't know if I've had some mild food poisoning or not but my insides have been in turmoil for over a day. It's not PMS; that's due in 6 days.

Plus, I'm officially a year older. I'm now at the magic age of 35 when the stats for IVF change.
Thank you Rowin, the nurse basically fired a load of questions at us (do you drink? Smoke? etc etc) and then went through it all really quickly so felt a bit overwhelming and i forgot to make notes. Mine must be long then, because i call up on CD1, they send me the drugs and then bring me in to show me how to do them, then downregging starts CD20 something (i forget but must be CD21) and the whole thing takes about 6 weeks from then.

Yep :) One last cycle to go through. Was planing to be 100% healthy to give it my best shot. But very stressed with family illness, work and tiredness so now i'm just thinking F-it and I'm treating myself a big fat cocktail tomorrow night. Then be teetoal when it all starts (happy xmas!)

When will be your est. CD1 Peonie?

Good news about embryoscope/eeva eh? Thanks for that :)
WTDN, I should start down-regging on the 1st December. I was told down-regging starts on CD23.

I'm wondering what time of day to take the injections. Whether to take them in the morning before work or in the evening. With a few evening events in the run up to Christmas I don't fancy sitting in a toilet mixing drugs or on an early train journey for that matter. Do all the drugs have to be mixed?

I did not know about the no drinking thing whilst on the drugs. It should not be too much of a problem as I'm not a big drinker anyway.

I was interested to read that some of you are searching for cheaper IVF drugs. How much do they cost when the treatment is not NHS funded?

Then people started leaving and not being replaced, and a clique developed and the management started putting on more pressure, and we haven't had pay rises in years and then they brought in all these consultants doing the same job and earning what I earn in a week each day and it's just worn me away to the point where I don't care

    That's why I left IT.

Peone: I take my injections at 8pm because I knew that I would be too rushed in the morning to take my time the first few times. However, 8pm does fall pretty badly for getting out in the evening; I did my first toilet session on Saturday after the fireworks, but it went ok (top tip...use the disabled toilet to have more room [is that wrong?!?]).

T2D: Congrats on down-regging. Sorry if I've missed it, but where have you been on holiday, and are you doing a fresh cycle?

    PM Hugs for injections.

Code: I'm making a very conscious effort not to Google during this IVF cycle; the temptation is immense but I know it will only make me panic!

The clinic told me to do them in the evening so I never really thought about it. It worked out better for me as there's no way I'd have had time in the mornings. By the time I had both menopur and cetrotide to do it was probably taking 15mins a day and there just isn't that amount of spare time in the mornings lol.... plus I'd have been half awake and probably got a needle in my eye or something.

Think we're looking at about £1000 (give or take) for the drugs for a short protocol cycle.

Code whilst obviously Dr Google should be approached in the same way as Drs Frankenstein and Frankenfurter, i did find this website useful for my diagnosis when we was trying, maybe you will too?
this is the board for male factor:

and from the looks of it there's quite a few ladies on there willing to show their positive experiences of what worked to get them their forever baby and they all seem very clued up on the sciencey bits :)

    love to you all x
