Code, the ivf doctors I have seen are generally cautious, but at the same time they always say to me 'we'll get there eventually, there are always options'. Of course that depends on how bottomless your money pile is!
They have to be cautious to ensure people don't see Ivf as a magic bullet, but it does work. Look at me, I'm a bundle of optimism tonight! Holiday cheer is clearly working.0 -

Our money pile definitely has a bottom. We're pretty much dependent on the free cycles and then maybe one privately funded one if that fails.:(
I'm tempted to dress up as Princess Leia for the first appointment "Help me Obi Wan Kanobi, you're my only hope".
I hope your bleeding is just random. I think Doctors are just programmed to see any kind of bleeding from the lady parts as "just one of those things".Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Lol at princess Leia!
Don't forget I had an operation 'in' my lady bits last week. So that's the logical source of the bleeding. They said there may be some bleeding as the old trapped blood is released. Just a bit of fresh stuff now, but there is an operation site hidden up there so bleeding isn't unlikely.
Not painful at all, which is a blessing. My boobs are aching though! AF must be on her way too.0 -
I'm the same WTDN. Unexplained infertility so frustrating. Did your FS say if you'll be on short protocol or long protocol cycle? I'm on short protocol and so far had no problems with the injections. I found doing lots of research into IVF & ICSI reassured me & took away a lot of anxiety & fear. Although it hasn't resolved all my worries about the 2WW & a possible BFN.
Thanks Rowin xx
Protocol - No nurse didn't say anything actually, I don't know what the difference is between long and short?!0 -
Rowangirl and WTDN - another 'unexplained' here. Its awful as you just don't know why. I fear its cause there is something wrong at a fundamental level that they don't know about yet so can't fix. Saying that my friend now has a gorgeous baby boy through IVF with 'unexplained' so it does work! Big hugs for your IVF!
I also fear this cause! I'm certain other causes are yet to be found. il then were floundering though!
Thanks for hugsx

Long protocol starts on day 21 with down regulation then ovarian stimulation then egg collection & embryo transfer. Short protocol starts on day 2 with ovarian stimulation before starting ovulation suppression injections on day 5 then EC & ET; there's no down regulation.
Hugs tea. Infertility is a b*tch. The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato. (Edward Monkton) :beer:0 -

Just on my way to work after IVF app. Peonie - you're right - I will start it all end of November and will probs be Jan when they do egg collection etc.
Feeling a bit blue - the FSH test was fine. So there is absolutely nothin wring with either of us. So why the hell won't it happen naturally?
