WTDN - it's easier once you get going, honest!
Feel v ropey - still feel sick, and I can't keep my eyes open. Absolutely definitely not pg, so am thinking I might be getting a bug of some sort. Not looking forward to the 40ish mins travel to get to the hospital this afternoon _pale_. OH will not be happy if I'm sick in his work van :rotfl:.0 -
Hugs PM & tea.
Hope your scan & FS appointments go well danielley and nothing untoward is found.
Littleme - rabbid idiots who should be avoided. Given up reading newspaper articles on infertility as they're either full of simplistic carp advice or moralising over new IVF methods.
Bigmomma - my CD21 & CD2 blood test results came back within 5 days so hopefully your results should be back before your next doctor's appointment.
Now on twice daily injections (menopur & cetrotide); stimming is going slowly because of my polycycstist ovaries but some follies are growing. Unfortunately the nurse who takes my bloods left bruises that I hope will heal before tomorrow's blood test. The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato. Juston my way to work after IVF app. Peonie - you're right - I will start it all end of November and will probs be Jan when they do egg collection etc.
Feeling a bit blue - the FSH test was fine. So there is absolutely nothin wring with either of us. So why the hell won't it happen naturally?
It's all getting a bit real. I'm frightened of the journey ahead.
I'm the same WTDN. Unexplained infertility so frustrating. Did your FS say if you'll be on short protocol or long protocol cycle? I'm on short protocol and so far had no problems with the injections. I found doing lots of research into IVF & ICSI reassured me & took away a lot of anxiety & fear. Although it hasn't resolved all my worries about the 2WW & a possible BFN.The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato. (Edward Monkton) :beer:0 -

I found cetrotide so much easier than menopur as there was less to try and mix! Menopur took me aaaages to get the d*mn thing dissolved lol. Everytime they upped the dose it seemed to add another 15mins to my evening routine :rotfl:.
Hope the bruises go soon0 -

Thanks tea. I've had it the other way round. Menopur is easy to mix and cetrotide is a pain to dissolve and remove air bubbles! Took me 20 minutes to prepare it this morning. Dreading the parlava tomorrow trying to take while waiting for my scan :rotfl:The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato. (Edward Monkton) :beer:0 -
oh the joys of menopur, will be back on it next week.0

hi ladies,
I was on gonal f which is dead easy, nothing to mix, just a pen like device. I also had to take luveris though, which I did have to mix, but lucky my DH is a nurse so he did most of it for me!
Rowangirl and WTDN - another 'unexplained' here. Its awful as you just don't know why. I fear its cause there is something wrong at a fundamental level that they don't know about yet so can't fix. Saying that my friend now has a gorgeous baby boy through IVF with 'unexplained' so it does work! Big hugs for your IVF!
PM - sorry to hear you are still bleeding, hope it clears up soon. x
danielley - hope it's all ok for you. Sometimes it seems like such a battle and you just want one wee thing to go well and be easy, big hugs. x
bigmomma - glad they got some blood and you got an understanding nurse.
Happy Halloween everyone. I'm so grumpy today I might as well have a witches hat on! xx0 -
Sewit, thanks i really hope so to, im shattered now.0

Just been looking at the website for the fertility clinic we'll probably be using. They're certainly not upbeat are they? We'll be doing it through the NHS for as many cycles as they'll allow which seems to be 2 full cycles. I'm hoping we can get the treatment started before I turn 36 as I feel enough is against us without the drop in success rates too.
In the meantime, I guess I should use the delay to get my BMI below 30 as we wont get any treatment if I don't. It's currently just over that, and I'm so ashamed!! I was supposed to be being good this week, but work has been so dull (busy but still dull) that we've all been eating chocolate constantly and my face is hurting again which means I've been disinclined to exercise, or actually do anything except hold my face and whine.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Evening lovely ladies. Who have we got actively doing an ivf cycle now? I can't get back to the list on the phone. I think it's very exciting for you ladies currently injecting and so close to that elusive bfp! Fingers crossed for us all.
My friend with the one remaining embryo had it transferred on Monday. She couldn't have a normal et due to surgery damage, so it was 'injected' in a similar way to egg collection. Let's hope it sticks.
I'm enjoying my break, although still bleeding a slightly worrying amount. I dont know how the coil will impact my cycle or the actual bleeding, so it's conceivable that this bleeding is a light AF, but I really don't know. My body is a mystery to me these days! Had holiday non bd, bd'ing which was nice but does seem to have made the bleeding worse. But nothing too bad really.
I'm not going to tell the doctors as I don't want them to give me the annoying 'just wait' answer, as I want to get started on the ivf cycle next month. That's probably a bad thing I realise, but my interaction with doctors tells me they are never 100% sure about the reasons for random bleeding, so I'm not giving them the chance to put things on hold! Probably a foolish approach, but they did say there could be some post op bleeding. ( pretty sure I'm just convincing myself here)
Hugs to those who need them. Things will brighten up for us all.
Ooo.. Also, I may be doing some radio next week about my 'story' with cancer research UK. Possibly even brekkie Tv! I will let you ladies know of course if I am. All coming from my blog.0
