Good luck WTDN for your appointment.
    Thanks PM.
Unfortunately all trains before 9am are now cancelled so my plan is to ring the clinic then get there as soon as I can.

I hope you can get seen tommorow, looks like a lot of chaos for so many people.

Wtdn wishing you well for your appt.

rowingirl - hope you manage to get something sorted for your appt today.
  • Good morning all,

AF arrived for me yesterday ..... I was expecting it, but I had started to get my hopes up ... ah well :(

Hi vesper, with regards to the CD21 tests, my GP sent me for them through our practice & also 2 lots of SA tests. Then when I got referred to a FS after TTC for 1yr they had to be done again, as the hospital prefers to do their own tests, so by you having them done at the hospital first time, you may short cut through a bit of the red tape. I would chase it up by phone though - it can't do any harm.

Neither of us had any tests with our GPs (different ones). I saw my GP and told him we'd been trying a while and he just referred us straight away. I've seen my GP loads over the years though with various endo issues so guess he thought it was best to get the ball rolling. All the tests we've had have been done at the hospital.

Got our next appt on Thursday. Should just be a recap of the process. That will be CD13, so then it's just a case of waiting for CD2 to roll around to start stimms again.

ETA: so long as this cycle comes in under 40 days we should be ok to fit it all in before christmas. Any longer than that and EC/ET would be right over christmas/new year.

When I was referred to the FS I used the Choose & Book service and picked the place with the shortest wait - I think I managed to get one in 11 days from going online to book it... I had to drop all my tests at the hospital - the GP didn't arrange anything.

ETA: the time between initial consultation appointment and the second one was 6 months though, in order to do all the tests in between - mainly because the HSG was a pain to arrange

I had my bloods done at the GP, only the AMH was done at the hospital once the IVF ball was rolling. DH had to deposit his sample (if you excuse the pun!) at the hospital. My first ultrasound was at my local hospital and then my tube test was at a local sexual health clinic! (they moved a lot of patients over to reduce waiting time)

Code - so sorry to hear about your DHs results. Hope you get some answers at your next appointment.

danielley - sorry AF started, it's always so disappointing. hugs x

tea - good luck for Thur, how exciting you'll be starting again soon!

Rowangirl - hope you made your appointment, or managed to arrange another one!

WTDN - good luck for your appointment!

Bigmomma - didn't tell anyone before our IVF, We told a few people after it didn't work as it would have been impossible to keep it secret as we were so depressed! Only family and close friends though.

hope everyone is having a good day. We're getting central heating installed, so I'm working from home today. Have never been so excited to turn the heating on as its getting cold up here. No storms thankfully though, hope everyone is safe! xx
  • Hi All

Been MIA again I'm afraid! My thyroid issue has been making me super-tired so me and the sofa have had more closeness over the weekend!

Had a super annoying, yet when I look back on it now, it's quite funny, end to the week. I'd got my first lot of Provera and left them in the packets along with the hospital prescriptions for the rest on the kitchen counter.
Went out and DD rang to say the dog had decided to have a munch on them (He's a rather large puppy with seperation anxiety), and he had literally torn it all to pieces. We managed to work out he'd had about 2. Phoned the vet and found we were not going to have to pay out a fortune in fees as dogs are given Provera so its not poison to them, and he probably hadnt eaten enough to do him any damage.

But now I have the pain of getting to the doctor and explaining what happened and getting on with this Provera taking!

    .

Snap for today. It's so distressing. I don't want to give up hope, as then I feel like I've got nothing, but I feel like I'm hoping against all odds.
Chocolate for me tonight. Can't even enjoy wine cos of the meds.
