Pretty sure there are some video guides out there ;). - although some of the stuff they do definitely won't get you pregnant!

Yep, I've had a PPC for 3? Years now, cos of all my normal medications

It was really simple, you just go on their website, click on 'buy online' and fill in your details and they send you a plastic card out that you can then show the chemist (if they ask, they generally don't bother very often) when you get a prescription filled. When you're signing it, you just tick the box for "has a pre paid exemption certificate" (or something to that effect). Simples ;) If you need to cancel it you can just stop your direct debit and/or send them your card back.
Thanks BZ. Does anyone know when the Hewitt Center takes the money for the IVF drugs? We have a joint appointment on the 17th but I don't know if we'll order the drugs then or at a later appointment. I don't want to order the PPC too early. Are there also individual appointments with the consultant? I remember them saying something about it but can't recall when they take place.

Hi peonie, is it a self-funded cycle then?

If it's self-funded, then the PPC won't help. That's only for NHS prescription charges.

Hi choc-addict - AF is a cruel mistress. Try not to SS, it's an evil mindgame. I don't pay any attention to my stupid body in the 2 wk wait anymore, too much heartbreak!

Hi Mrs T. Good luck with getting your BMI on target

PEONIE!! EXCITING NEWS!! 17th Oct is even earlier than the nurse predicted. Did TCD ever hear back about if we have to pay for eeva? (I think it's an NHS cycle right?)
  • :hello:danielley and choc-addict!

Ladies, I need your advice - when we had our nurse planning meeting I said that yes to the question "do you regular cycles?" (as they are always 34-35 days in length) but I've since read in a book on assisted conception that regular cycles only means 28 days in length and anything a week or more either side would be classed as irregular. Do you think I should call them as will it affect when I should start my down-regging drugs? I'm supposed to start on CD21 but would it be different if they knew I had longer cycles? Sorry for the long post, just don't want to do anything wrong!

WW - sounds like that is within 1 week of 28 days anyway. I think that counts as regular.

That's why I was checking. The post I wrote about ppc was only for nhs cycles, it wouldn't be valid for any self-funded cycles. Wanted to make sure I hadn't inadvertently given crap advice lol as I assumed we were talking nhs.

My TTC confession... I keep wondering if I've remembered to stop using the Pill, then seriously believe I am still on it, then remember the only pills I take now are vitamins
