    Hi everyone,

Today I received my letter for the IVF consultant; that must mean the test test results came back ok. It's on the 17th so I hope it does not clash with my job interview or the training course I've been waiting a year to go on.

Then we'll need to wait for the drugs to be delivered, go on holiday and wait for CD23 to start the down regging drugs which takes us to the 1st December. Fingers crossed for a Christmas present in the shape of a bean.

To cover the cost of the IVF drugs I'm thinking of getting the 3-month (£29.10) or annual prescription payment certificate (£104). Has anyone else done this?

Hi peonie, I have the three month ppc anyway for all my other drugs lol, but definitely worthwhile during a nhs cycle. We added it up last time and it was something like £110 if we'd paid for all the prescriptions individually.

I just got a +'ve opk...on cd15!!! This is unheard of for me. Thinking of calling oh at work and telling him to get home now!

ETA: cd17, I can't count. Still pretty good!

Thanks TL, that's a huge saving. How do I get a PPC? I've never got one before.

Finally found you guys! What the hell happened there??!

Totally. And I feel like people are thinking - seriously?! you?! Get real.

But I still hope. The Zipster is a bit of a motivation on that front. I was really surprised when she got her BFP (hope you don't take that the wrong way BZ!) and it reminds me that it really could just happen.

Plus I've lost lots of weight, as she did, so I'm even more kidding myself. I always sort of hope that at the many random scans I go to they will say 'oh - there seems to be a small person in there!'
Not offended in the least :D I was -and still am- supremely surprised! I was actually hyperventilating the morning after testing lol.

I used to go to scans with the same secret hopes too  Then went to the antenatal scans virtually convinced they wouldn't see anything at all in there :p

It was really simple, you just go on their website, click on 'buy online' and fill in your details and they send you a plastic card out that you can then show the chemist (if they ask, they generally don't bother very often) when you get a prescription filled. When you're signing it, you just tick the box for "has a pre paid exemption certificate" (or something to that effect). Simples ;) If you need to cancel it you can just stop your direct debit and/or send them your card back.

I live in Scotland where prescriptions are free. Hoping this also applies to fertility drugs.
