Glad all went well T2T.
Hello all, sorry haven't posted on this one in a while, been trying to put TTC out of my head for a bit, but now I could use a little advice.
When any of you stopped taking clomid did it affect your cycles at all? I am very regular (with or without clomid), most of the time AF comes on CD27, occasionally CD28 but last month I decided to have a month off clomid (actually, I couldn't find my pills!). Now I'm on CD32.. Before you get excited, I did a test, negative. Now I have been fretting and consulting Dr Google and some people say clomid can stop your cycles all together and you need a drug to restart.
Am I worrying myself about nothing?
Oh, for additional info, I do ovulate without Clomid, they just felt it would give me a "boost".0 -
T2d glad everything went well yesterday.
Pickle sorry I can't help, only had clomid once and then moved onto another drug.
Afm got my cd21 bloods back and I did ov. Now very much in the 2ww.0 -
Whoooohooooo!!! Well done PM!!! That is fantastic news!
This wait is horrible though so I am keeping optimistic for you - OTD is 28th?
I'm ok thanks, plodding on as usual. Got a decent nights sleep for once last night and I'm always exhausted when I finish a weekend on call so hopefully I can catch up this week.
T2D - glad it went well x
Pickle- I'm sorry I can't help, have you rang the doc or hospital that put you on clomid? I know from google that it can mess with your cycle though? I mean it must do it's supposed to put us in a type of menopause my Dr said! X0 -
picklekin - I had much longer cycles on clomid, then normal-ish afterwards. I'm always irregular anything but within a range that's normal for me. First cycle on clomid made me very late, so it definitely can mess things up. It seems to help if you don't ov, but if you ov anyway it just b*ggars things around.
PM - good luck!!!
ETA: what the hell has happened to AF?? Was spotting on and off (v light) from Tuesday to Friday. Counted sat as CD1 but it was pretty much gone in 3 days. Normally I have at least 7 days of red blood, with the first 3 or 4 being heavy. Am now CD4 and would still be expecting quite a bit of bleeding today but there's nothing. Gah... now I can't even have a period properly, I am properly knackered in the lady regions.0 -
picklekin - I'm the odd one out I think;Clomid always made my cycles stupidly short! I agree with Tea that if you OV normally, it can mess things up. It's annoying that they have to automatically prescribe it...
PM - How exciting! I think I'm the same DPO as you, so I'm secretly SS with you :-) ( I have sore (.)(.) and that's about it!)0 -
Aargh, f off Radio 2. Havent heard this song on the radio for years but it was on in the hospital when I was there with OH for EC and ET and takes me straight back. It's also 5 years today since my lovely Nan died.
So not in the mood for workcan i go home and cuddle the cat instead??

Hugs tea lover that really sucks big hugs to you x
Glad to hear your op was a success t2d x
Hugs for confusing cycles picklekin, cant offer any advice though I'm afraid x
Part mouse hooray for ov!
I think I've decided to post more on this board than the other one. I don't know why but I feel out of place over there now. I really hope all the ladies on there graduate quickly and never have to move onto this thread but it's really hard seeing someone get angry when they haven't got their bfp an their 1st or 2nd cycle of trying.
I think I'm just jealous of the people who still think it's going to be easy?
I just realised that a year ago today my world came crashing down when my first mc started so maybe thats why I'm so crabby today? A least I'm off work this week so DH and I are spending some wonderful time together.
Hugs to all x0 -
Hi everyone. Another glorious day......
I am so pleased that you ov'd Part Mouse - will be keeping everything crossed for you in your 2ww! you must be so happy
Purcy - totally ditto with your thoughts. I don't post over there anymore. I can't deal with seeing BFP's after one month. I know I probably sound a complete selfish cow but its so hard. I never thought I would have this much trouble falling pregnant.
Pickle - I'm on my 5th clomid round and I have settled on 30 day cycles so its not impacted that much on my regular cycle which is 26-30 days (usually 28).
T2D - hope you're ok
Mrs Davo - love a good nights sleep!
AFM we are CD18 so giving it another go tonight, my cycles are around 30 days so we did CD16, CD14 and tonight CD18 so gotta give them a chance.

Can I ask how you got your blood results? Did they ring you or did you call them... I wasn't expecting an update unless there is a problem.
I have an embarassing confession - I am quite a novice at forums and I am not up with acronyms, and for the past few weeks I have been thinking that AFM meant Aunty Flo Mucus.... Just googled to discover that it is 'As for me' That makes much more sense :rotfl:

Lol!
Re results - the first month they called me 2 days later to say I hadn't O'd and to up the dose next time. The second month I called them after 4 days to find out and was told they'd written me a letter but could read it out over the phone which they did - it was another week until I got that letter! It said possible O'd but still up the dose on the 3rd month. I've got my blood test tomorrow and will be ringing them Friday about 4pm if I've not had a call, it's important to know I think for our sanity. If they say no ovulation then you know you aren't in with a chance.
