Hello everyone
I had my two hour talk yesterday and now ready to start on next cycle - hurry up AF about three and half weeks away yet!!
They showed me all the drugs I would be taking and how to prepare them and mix them etc. I had to stab myself with a diabetic needle... it took me about 5 minutes to muster up the courage to do this! But it didn't hurt - just feels so unnatural deliberately trying to put a needle in yourself!
They said they would show me again when collect them (they give them to me at time of day 2/3 scan.
Re mid life crisis - I think I had one last year when signed up for the marathon... now deferred one year due to medical reasons taking place!0 -
Star hope all goes well with the treatment.0

Star Good luck. Soon you'll be injecting without thinking.
PM hugs. It all seems so backward & wrong. I hope you get somewhere with your old fs.
Loveactually - DH came to our IVF appointment and it was really useful as there are loads of forms he needs to fill in & sign. You can't start treatment until he signs on the dotted line; where are you planning to start IVF after your appointment?
WTDN - your cervix opens slightly to let the blood out but your embryo is attached to your uterus wall so can't be washed out by the blood. The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato. (Edward Monkton) :beer:0 -
RG thanks, just had a liquid lunch of coffee now got to sort this letter out and hand deliver to a different hosp far away.0

Know what you mean star, took me about half an hour to pluck up the courage for the first injection! As you've discovered though it really doesn't hurt and it is amazing how quickly you get used to doing it. Best of luck!! x0

Wow. Never thought I'd be jealous of people injecting themselves.
Also, I just agreed with a Daily Mail article, well some of it anyway.

Code I know its not quite the same but so far spent 13 weeks injecting on 2 cycles and no BFP. Trying to make the letter not to ar@ey but feeling very let down and left in the lurch yet again by the NHS.0

PM - just trying to think of other possible ways for you to get to see someone. Is there a possibility of you making an initial private appointment? They can refer back into the NHS if required. Apologies if that is completely not an option (and it's totally not something we should have to do at all)... just seems awful that you're left in the lurch like this.
FWIW, I think you're completely entitled to be @rsey at this point!
Code - right with you on that article.0 -
