For those of you in need of cheering up, I advise you to check out the unwanted visitor thread. It's awesome and cheered me right up.
t2d hooray for the action down below (remember when that used to mean something else).
tcd - yeah, my diet isn't going so well either. Been feeling dizzy and yucky all day today and DH has been playing football manager all day so been eating things that are easy. Haven't even got out of my jammies. Now lying on the sofa having cuddles with my favourite boy (the dog).Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
T2d glad to hear you've got some action down there.
TCD I know what you mean about weight, feel like I've put a ton on.
Code I've got cat cuddles tonight.
Will be raining the fs next mon to get the next cycle under way, eek.0 -

I love this thread - nothing like getting into work on a Friday morning and giggling suspiciously at your desk :rotfl:
SewIt/Fairydust - being cycle buddies sounds pretty good to me!
I'm on the long protocol - starting with
Provera (10mg tablets) on 11th Jan
Suprecur nasal spray (8 sniffs a day) on 13th Jan for DR
Baseline scan on 4th Feb
Gonal-F (137.5iu) on 5th Feb for stimming
EC should be w/c 17th Feb
I have PCOS and DH has low everything so we're going down the ICSI route. It's our first time (and only funded go) - at the moment I'm swinging between excited and scared!0 -
Lol. I knew it sounded a bit strange when I wrote it!
Off for a scan today. And possibly to collect a cubic metre or so of menopur. Not sure how I'm going to explain that at work.0 -
Oh man popping in here has made me get some very funny looks in the office :rotfl:
SewIt Glad it's not just me who feels they can't talk to friends with kids about it. One or two have already used "when it's time, it's time" line even though we haven't actually ever said to anyone that we are TTC.Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -

Totally with you there. A friend of mine (who's a Dr, for gawd's sake) said to me she knew just how I felt as they'd been trying for their second for nearly 4 months.
I didn't point out the following to her:
* they already have one beautiful daughter who they conceived literally the first time they tried
* we've been trying for 5 years, 5 YEARS
* a m/c after IVF, the only sniff of a BFP in 5 long years, is frankly not the same as child #2 taking 6 months to conceive. Just not, ok.
I did however spend the rest of the day giving her a death stare.0 -
Yay! We're short protocol too, will be starting stimms on next CD2 which I reckon will be the first week of feb. Have just counted from last time and it was 18 days from starting stimms to EC, I wonder if it's the same again? I did think maybe they'd up the drugs sooner to shorten it but then as I had OHSS last time maybe they'll take it even slower this time round?
I'm not sure. My FS changed my stimms to 150iU Gonal-F due to my mediocre response last time. However she's still worried about OHSS due to my polycystic ovaries. I'm hoping stimms will last 14 days as that's what I've told DH so he can take time off work. Would be a first if my body did as it was told. Your dr friend, what is wrong with people???
Fairy dust - thanks. I think we will be starting at the same time as well. I can't believe there's 10 of us on IVF/ICSI cycles in January & February. BFP's all round I hope.
Code - that thread is hilarious. DH thinks I'm mad as I keep laughing randomly at my phone :rotfl:The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato. (Edward Monkton) :beer:0 -
Back from the scratch ladies, currently curled up on the sofa listening to the wild weather outside. Hurt a bit, dr did three sweeps as i was 'tolerating it so well' first sweep was ok, 2nd more painful and the third really hurt! Was over in less than 10 mins. Strange sensation and a sharp pain at times, followed by cramping. Felt really faint afterwards and had to lie down for 10 mins. Feel a bit crampy now so munching on chocolate and resting.
Great about your scan t2d and that things have started downstairs!
Tea - well done for not slapping your friend!
Hugs to everyone! X0 -
Could someone please tell me the time frame of treatments, I.E. if my cycle starts around the 20th of the month when does it stage happen? I am waiting for my appointments to come through (lady will be on Monday to arrange) and I only need one updated blood test and husband needs updated SA then ready to do apparently so trying to work out when things would happen if go with the cycle starting around the 20th Jan or cycle starting around 20th Feb.
Thanks0
