    Happy New Year ladies

Here's hoping that 2014 is full of BFPs for all of us.

Hadn't realised so many of us were from Glasgow in this thread so hello to all my fellow Glaswegians too!

    Soapdodgers!!!! :D

Happy new year everyone. May they find sperm in DH's ballsack and may everyone get to join the smug parents club.

DH is annoying me. I had one drink last night but took my meds later than normal so am very drowsy and he keeps making me wake up and do stuff. Also we need to go for dinner at my parents house and my mum, bless her, is the worst cook ever.

Happy New Year! May this be the year that we finally have our very own babies!

I've not been on here in months as I'm not booked in for ivf cycle 2 in Feb and just wanted to forget (well try) about TTC, ivf, etc for a while otherwise I would have just gone mad!! AF came on Sunday so left a voicemail at the hospital & they phoned me back so I start my norethisterone on the 18th Jan.

My friend told me that second time is much less stressful but I'm finding it even more so. The first time was exciting this time I just feel "why am I bothering as it probably won't work!" Has anyone else felt like this on their second attempt?

Anyway fingers crossed that this is all our years :) xx

Happy New year to you all ladies! Wishing all of us health, wealth, happiness and babies in 2014!

Fairy - I'm about to embark on my second IVF too and feel exactly the same. I'm so pleased it's not just me. I sort of feel like rounds 2 and 3 are just something that we have to go through before we move on.

Great that there are so many of us in Glasgow! Maybe we'll meet at the GRI, I'll be wearing a red carnation!!

Re drinking and diet, I've been drinking and over eating crap all Christmas! Figure its ok as I'm not actually on any drugs at the moment.
  • SewIt - when do you start your treatment? I'm booked in for egg retrieval week beginning 10 Feb. I'm glad it's not just me then that feels like this :), going by what the books say we should be less stressed about the process, I was beginning to think I was the only person that wasn't!

Is anyone changing their diets at all? I did a high protein/low carb in the summer for ivf cycle 1 but was unsure whether to do this again?

I wonder what the GRI would make of all these women suddenly appearing with red carnations?! :rotfl:

I'm very grateful to know people who are in the same boat in the same area to share experiences with. Most of my friends either have kids already or aren't TTC.

Embarrassed to admit how nervous I am about the next appointment. :o

GlasweJen-the Nuffield were great, we always felt that they were helpful and always willing to take time to discuss and answer any questions, both at appointments and when I randomly phoned to ask stuff. (and the coffee in the waiting room is fab) We were under Dr Vanni for both cycles there as he had done our initial appointment at the Royal and I can't praise him and his staff enough. When we got out BFP in September the staff seemed genuinely really happy for us-the embryologist and other nursing staff we had dealt with popped in to congratulate us during our appointment.

Right then ladies..... another year, another deluge of posts from moi :) Have enjoyed a much-needed little break (whilst keeping an eye on you all of course) and am now as ready as I'll ever be for 2014.

CD1 today (isn't it always?!) Which means we'll be waiting another cycle to start ICSI #2 as we can't get scans/drugs sorted in time for this cycle. Not sure how one small christmas shut-down has slowed us down so much (we seem to have missed three months somehow) but hey ho. It will give me another 5-6 weeks to work on my positivity and force-feed OH with vitamins.

Have everything crossed that this really will be the year for all of us. Have lost track of who's where, treatment-wise, so big hugs for anyone who's currently underway xx.

Lots of Glasege.. glasweje... umm folk from Glasgow. I really should make my way to Scotland at some point in my life. *T2D waves in a northerly direction*

Some good'ish news today. Had a dildocam scan, and they say the bleeding looks like it's still early, so not having seen much blood is still ok. I am bleeding a little bit today, but perhaps it's just lighter - like my old cycles used to be. It's very light though...

Anyway, they were fine to go ahead with the FET, but I said I didn't actually want to as I was going NHS, and will now officially start my short protocol tomorrow. Yikes!

I think perhaps stress may be delaying my period a bit. I'm so tense at the moment. Perhaps Christmas, or worrying about putting on weight, or TTC or whatever is making me really tense. My teeth and jaw are really sore, so I'm clearly clenching. Plus I'm really not sleeping. Maybe a night of sleeping pill oblivion should be on the cards.

But good news! Lots of January cycles about to start, which is pretty exciting.
