Hello everyone and a happy new year.

Been a bit AWOL with one thing or another but it's now the start of a new year. As if by clockwork AF showed up by lunch time on New Year's Eve. So I'm now CD3 and now on my first cycle with no pills. I am speaking to my GP tomorrow for a referral back to the FS through the NHS. I hope I will get my HSG this month. An absolute point less exercise.

I just want us to start proper treatment now. Clomid for 7 months has been unsuccessful. Guess DP problems are impacting too. So what use is a HSG or is it protocol before they start treatment?

Welcome to all the new people hope your stay is short.

Have had a nice read back through lots of pages but can't recall everyone so hugs and good luck to all.

    X

Forgot to ask, Tea, could you please amend me to say waiting further FS referral as 7 clomid cycles unsuccessful. Thank you cx

SewIt/Frozen - I'd love to be cycle buddies :)! I'm on the short protocol so I am getting sent my sheet with all my dates. My last norethisterone tablets are on 26 Jan, going by last time I started my stims on the Thursday (which would be the 30th if it's the same again). Last time I stimmed for 14 days. Do you stim less when it's long protocol or is it about the same? Good luck with your endo scratch, hope everything goes ok :)

Rowingirl - I have my fingers crossed that you don't need to go for Plan B. Hopefully once we start our treatment our PMA will reappear :). If you are doing short protocol then we will probably be starting around the same time?

Time2Deal - I see that you will be on 450iu Menopur, the consultant that I saw at my follow-up appt (who was a complete & utter a*se) told me that the 300iu that I was on was the highest dose that I could get & they couldn't give me a higher dose, is there a reason that you are getting such a high dose (if you don't mind me asking)?

    Hi all,
Same here littleme AF on the eve.
The HSG is protocol :(, and to check if you need further treatment they don't cause any more problems etc.

Wasn't discussed with me! My AMH was 6.6 and I saw they had a form with ranges of AMH linked to Menopur levels. Plus they know I did a cycle on 375 with ok success and my NHS clinic seems to be on a mission to prove they can do what the private clinic couldn't.

Do you have PCOS? I don't think they will go as high (although 300 is fairly high) with PCOS ladies.

I may be a bit hormonal... OH just stepped on one of the cat's toys and it broke a bit. It was a v cheap mouse toy and I really don't think the cat will care but for some reason it really upset me. My mum got it him for Christmas and I hate the thought that one of his presents is broken :( OH now thinks I'm mad as this has made me cry.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me TL. ;)

I feel all left out. It'll be ages til we start treatment.

Don't worry code, judging by the disasterous weigh in this morning I may start my cycle sometime next year. If only limbs were detachable- i'd be fine then.

I'm rooting for us all ladies-2014 is going to be our year!

No I don't have PCOS, we have unexplained infertility :(. I'm 38 now so think that's why I'm on such a high dose but not sure. I've had my FSH tested a year ago which was 6.2 but have never had my AMH checked, I've seen many ladies mention their AMH number though.

Which clinic are you at? It's sad that they feel they need to prove something to the private clinic but I suppose it all comes down to each clinic's success rates at the end of the day. We were self-funding but then were told we were getting nhs funded at the last minute but it's at the same clinic regardless of self or nhs funding.

Just thought, my AFC was 6 so think that's probably why I was on such a high dose :)! Xx

I'm at Chelsea and Westminster ACU. I was at the Lister Clinic - I don't think they do NHS, or at least my local trust don't refer anyone there.

I like the competitiveness. I think it's good that they feel a professional challenge to try to help me.

Also I've been to the Lister soooo many times it's nice to have a change. I'm tired of seeing the inside of that hospital! C&W is much smaller so feels more personal too. Although I'm already frustrated by little NHS things - like having to go and take a ticket and wait for an hour to get a blood test, and I waited over an hour for a simple antibiotic prescription the other day. But hopefully I will learn to play the system a bit better over time.

I'm not even going to bother with a tmi warning. We are so beyond that... but.. there is action down below! Looks like AF has finally appeared. So they will hopefully confirm I'm fine to go ahead tomorrow. What a relief.

Good news. Now to get some proper sleep and hopefully find a way to relax a bit.
