Nope I haven't and I read the same thing but by the time we buy it (if we do) those batches should be long gone. But thanks for the warning! X

Yes my husband saw Watchdog and told me about Cosatto. Now I've gone on their website and LOVE their stuff, but I don't think that was his intention when he told me about them. :rotfl:

Also they mention in response to a review on the giggle car seat that a base will be out next year. Perhaps there'll be more info somewhere else on the site?
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

Just looking on ebay and there are tons of barely used brand name push chairs on there. Theres even someone selling the Giggle entire system barely used for less than £300.

Think Im definitely going to look on there when it comes to buying something.

I wanted to get the Giggle but when we were looking they weren't in any shops as they'd all clearly been recalled which then put us off. Seems like the ones back in the shops are the good ones now though. :) I saw the design I'd been eyeing up ('Tweet') in a shop last week and was glad I hadn't ordered it blind online as the colour was much more sickly IRL than I imagined it would be!

Oh and since you were talking about needing something lightweight, my Oyster is really light and nifty for pushing about. Can push it about/up curbs etc with one hand easily so might be worth checking out if you haven't already had a look at them. :) It's a shame John Lewis don't sell them as their baby section is so lovely and the customer service is always excellent (at least it is in the Newcastle store) but I had to go elsewhere for my pram. :o
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

if you can find a kiddicare close by I'd really recommend going there, we went to the one at Aintree (40 minute drive but worth it) which is huge and they seemed to have every pram and stroller under the sun!
great customer service - the lady was more than happy to demonstrate the pram to us and go through everything and try it in the boot of the car.
Even better, we ordered it on Sunday and it came yesterday - free next day delivery with a timed slot so DH just popped home for the hour to take it in the house then back to work. oh and it came with a free sun blind for the car :)
Course last night he had to take it to my sisters as her and mum are adamant about the 'bad luck to have baby things in house before baby' business. Just easier not to argue, especially if it means less bulky boxes in my house lol

    Morning ladies...

Has anyone seen the offer on the grabbit board on the maxi cosi isofix base?

Don't know whether to buy or not, as I've not really looked at travel systems yet.

Will it really restrict which prams etc I can buy if I go for the maxi cosi car seat and base?

I've emailed kiddicare to see if they will price match & -25% off too!

Had a bit of a wrestle with my new 6ft pillow last night! :rotfl:
Think it might be better when I'm bigger and really need the support!! oh just rolled his eyes and asked where he is meant to sleep when that's in the bed too! Imagine if I'd bought the 12ft one!

Not really feeling pg at all this week! I guess its good that my appetite is back. Just focusing on the next scan now.... only 2 weeks today!!

    Lol I like the Tweet!

Ooh Ill have to go have a look at the Oyster then. Looks similarish to the Giggle doing a very quick google search. Except that it is compatible with the Maxi cosi seats if you get an adaptor which would mean I could get the base for the car..

Yes Id have seen it if John Lewis had it!

On the Mothercare website there is currently an offer that if you buy the Oyster by tomorrow, you get a Maxi Cosi Cabriofix car seat for free which seems like a great deal if anyone is interested.

Just having a look...Hmm there are two about an hour away.. but might be worth if it they stock most things, for comparison purposes. My mum is the same, hopefully that means she'll keep stuff at hers then :rotfl:

It will restrict the prams, as Ive found myself this week. But lots of prams are compatible with them, so you'd still have a range to choose from.
