Sad to see you move onto new thread Rummer but happy to see you graduate from this thread. Have you found that the time has flown by?

AFM I had a very bad morning at work. Was feeling really well but all a sudden had what felt like a hot flush and then dizziness. Just about made it to a chair away from all the kids before I nearly passed out. It was so scary and horrible, and no one seemed to notice/care really whilst I struggled to calm down. Happened a couple times after that so went home in the end where I have been resting. I think i need to eat and drink more but also think my body just needed a rest as I'm very run down at the moment.

Here's hoping for a better day tomorrow :o

It feels strange to be starting the next part of my pregnancy but I feel as if I have been pregnant forever :rotfl:

I have had dizzy spells all day today, which I have not had before and I was beginning to think I had an ear infection. I hope you feel better tomorrow.

Oh no. I had a weird thing with my ear a while ago & it was horrible so I can empathise.

Yay to moving into the big scary thread! :)

Feel really ill tonight so going to bed soon. I'm pretty much 17 weeks now, really hoping the nausea and sickness goes away soon the longer it goes on I start to be scared I'm gonna have it the whole 9 months but I can't let myself think that right now or I might loose the plot!
  • Becca get the bug!

It's worth every single penny and more!

I had the Frog with DS 4 years ago then a Cam with DD who is 2.. I love love love it, cant recommend it enough. I've never had a problem with either over the last 4 and half years and DD is STILL using it becuase she's so lazy.. and DS enjoys riding on the back :p

Definitely worth every penny, will be my choice this time ;)

I have just started looking into travel systems and there is so much to choose from. so some of the comments and advice on here has been great as Ive started off by looking into the ones suggested.

Also enquired into NCT course but am shocked at the price. If you dont mind me asking what have others paid for classes?

    I've been Money Tipped!
Yay! 2 votes for the bugaboo! I want to find a deal on one but doubt I will!

Elsie I think we paid about £200 for our NCT classes... It's expensive but it's our first & none of our friends have babies so think it'll be handy for knowledge & friends!!!
First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/14 :D

That is soooo helpful! Wish I could thank this a hundred times!!!
Are you using it again this time?
The cons you have mentioned have put my mind at rest, we will have a Touran & a Golf so hopefully space shouldn't be an issue. The price is the only thing stopping me buying it right now!!!

Yep, using again for number 2. It's still in fantastic condition and we kept the colour neutral last time as stayed team yellow so won't need to buy another colour pack. A colleague of my hubby's had one when we were looking for ours first time around, and she couldn't rate hers highly enough either. At the time, her 2 year old was still happily using and fitting into his. It is expensive, but I loved it and still do. When you fold it down, it is done in 2 parts, so you remove the chair bit and then fold the base. Some pushchairs are all in one piece, this is in two. This can help you squeeze it into a car, or leave the seat behind if you're using the car seat, but also means it's not a one-handed maneuovre (spelling? lol). Try it out if you haven't already and you'll see what I mean :)

con - fab result on the free cot ;) And I remember looking at everyone's pushchairs as they passed me too :rotfl:

lush - hope you have a great tonight and hope that you'll feel comfortable in whatever you're wearing too ;)

claire - I really hope the sickness eases for you too. It must be horrible....... I've had a few friends go through their entire pregnancy with sickness but on the bright side, think of all that weight you haven't gained

rummer - seems dizziness is going around. I can get a little bit if I suddenly move too fast, so everything is on a bit of a go-slow at the minute :)

hidden identity - Glad that someone else agrees on bugaboo, I've never had a single issue either and know a few people who've been through more than a couple of pushchairs for one child  I'll be getting a buggy board for when this one arrives so DS1 can hop on. Have you used in in carrycot/pram mode and is there enough space? Wasn't sure if it'd be more use space-wise once I moved back to pushchair mode.....

elsie - Our NCT class was almost 3 years ago now, but we paid £188 (I did have to dig out the old email, lol). This included the year membership and getting into the nct first is a HUGE advantage. We did pick up a few good bargains including a bumbo with tray for £9 (and my DS didn't like it so I'm glad that we didn't pay full price! :rotfl: At the time, you also had the option to pay by direct debit for the course and spread the cost if you wanted to.

becca - Some places price match too. Mothercare do, but it's only selected companies now (it was everyone 2 years ago who was online excluding auction sites and provided it was in stock). We got a very good price match, but it took a lot of searching around continually. We also used their baby plan which meant that I could order my items and if and when I found it cheaper, just ring them and they'd alter the price to match. You could do this as much as you wanted to and even 7 days after delivery, they would refund the difference if you found it cheaper. We made our £10 back and a lot more by price matching our car seat, isofix base, pushchair and a few other smaller things like window blinds :rotfl:

  • Twigpig, the buggy board works well in carrycot mode, DS hops on the bar at the back now on the occasions DD is in the pram :rotfl: I don't think this should be done :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm trying not to get too excited until after my scan next week when we know how things are .. but I have to admit its getting difficult :o
  • Becca - Keep an eye on Kiddisave if you're looking for a bugaboo. When we were looking at a Chameleon we found them to be the cheapest; around£800 inc maxi-cosi car seat. Mothercare was £1,000 without car seat plus Mothercare only let you reserve and pay in instalments, for Bugaboo's in certain colours.
