Great news about hearing the heartbeat Claire!
So lovely!
Fab scan pic Becca! I'm thinking it's a boy.
Having a day off work today, feeling so worn out I had to take a lying around doing nothing day.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Twig pig what do you think of your bugaboo? It's my absolute favourite!!!
I can't recommend my Dream Genii highly enough, it's amazing!
I love itIt's still being used for my DS1, who's 21 months.
The pro's;- One pushchair did carrycot (pram) and pushchair, so I didn't need to get 2 different items
- We kept it backward facing for a good while - I wanted to see the face if my little cherub, lol. Having backward and forward facing was a real plus for us.
- The seat sits up at 90 degrees.
- The storage underneath is pretty spacious.
- The handle height is easily adjusted for my taller hubby.
- The suspension (lol) can be adjusted very simply for smooth or bumpy surfaces.
- Still has plenty of space (in the seating area) for my 21 month old - no danger of him outgrowing it anytime soon so you'd only need this pushchair if you didn't want to get a lightweight stroller when they're older.
- It such a smooth pushchair to walk around with. So easy to navigate.
- The maxi cosi cabriofix car seat we had for when he was less than a year could go on top on the frame (with a couple of clip on adaptors) for quick stops so need to to put up the pushchair and move the baby from one to the other.
- Folded down, it's still quite a big pushchair. I can get it in my mazda 2 boot easily as a pushchair but couldn't when it was in carrycot for the first 5-6 months.
- It costs a bit more than other pushchairs and accessories can be a bit pricey too.
TTC #3..........0 -
Just reserved a place on my local nct course. Being on the London 'fringe' apparently means we get charged more but my hospital only seems to do a 2 hour one day job & my friends who have done NCT seem to really like it & made good friends.
Did this with our first and honestly, can not recommend it highly enough! It's great. I had a few few friends who had done it and had said the same to me. It's not really about the class but about the friends you'll make. I'm still great friends with 3 other mums and we spent about 4 days every week going to baby classes, catching up etc when we were all off on leave. We still go out for mummy only meals now and the odd trip to the cinema - it was worth every penny - they're so lovely and it's nice to have people with babies at similar ages going through the same as youTTC #3..........0 -
I'm so ill it isn't funny anymore.
I feel worse instead of better even though it started Saturday night. I hate letting work down and I was up half the night with terrible sore throat and earache not knowing what I could take. I wish I lived nearer my family so one of them could drop me off some paracetamol, lemons and honey.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -

Oh how awful, could you ask a work colleague or neighbour? Failing that an online order with a supermarket could get them there to you tomorrow. Our local pharmacy also delivers.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Thank you Rummer. It's fine, my hubbie will be back tonight. It's just I felt to bad asking him to go out last night as he's ill too, but dragging himself to work. He'll happily pop out after work tonight but i'll have to wait until 7pm. Whereas my mum is at home, my sister is home two days a week and my future sister in law works shifts and is home various days or mornings. Plus I have a friend with three children who is a sahm, so lots of good reasons to move back when having a new baby and long maternity leave.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

That is soooo helpful! Wish I could thank this a hundred times!!!
Are you using it again this time?
The cons you have mentioned have put my mind at rest, we will have a Touran & a Golf so hopefully space shouldn't be an issue. The price is the only thing stopping me buying it right now!!!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
Sorry your feeling so ill Kynthia
Take it easy
Sad to see you move onto new thread Rummer but happy to see you graduate from this thread. Have you found that the time has flown by?
Glad you heard the heartbeat Claire, recently in have started to worry about this myself. At least she was very reassuring and made you feel at ease!
Hope you have had plenty of rest Birdie, I think sometimes we just need those lazy days
AFM I had a very bad morning at work. Was feeling really well but all a sudden had what felt like a hot flush and then dizziness. Just about made it to a chair away from all the kids before I nearly passed out. It was so scary and horrible, and no one seemed to notice/care really whilst I struggled to calm down. Happened a couple times after that so went home in the end where I have been resting. I think i need to eat and drink more but also think my body just needed a rest as I'm very run down at the moment.
Here's hoping for a better day tomorrow0 -
I've been much better today, was able to get out of bed, shower, get dressed and go for lunch with my mum. I did take a bit of a dizzy turn in a shop but my trust lucozade sport sorted that out ( doc advised me to carry some around if I was likely to be on feet for a while).
Also just been offered a free cot in excellent condition, my sis in law no longer needs it and was giving to mum for her childminding but she says she has travel cots which will be better as they are easier movedit's pine so thats the Pine Vs White argument sorted
just need to get other bits and bobs.
Back to work tomorrow ( not been in this week due to being ill) so some normality thankfully.
Noticed i've started looking at people with babies now, to see their prams lol.0 -
I've just had the nicest bath in a while - think its only the second since our bfp, if not the first! Don't worry I don't smell usually I just tend to have showers instead hehe!
It's the annual dinner at work tomorrow so I had my nail done last night and tonight I've had a gorgeous bubble bath, going to use a pore strip on my nose and then curl my hair. Nice bit of pamper whilst bf is out at basketball training :-)
Been at a conference with work today and seen some women just a few weeks further on than me with beautiful bumps - mine felt a bit pathetic in comparison!
Hope everyone starts to. feel lots better asap :-)
It's going to be a late night tomorrow; usual morning at work (after running to town for emergency false lashes as mine have disappeared!) Then off to the hotel with my manager to help set up and greet speakers/comedians etc followed by the event itself from 5.30-10.45! Will be ready for bed when I get home, luckily bf is being extra nice and picking me up :-)
Right I had better get on with my hair as it will take almost an hour!************************************
