Laura the picture honestly does it no justice, in the flesh its night and day compared to all others I've looked at.

I just wish I could find some reviews...........a few positive ones and it would be in the trolley :-)

I don't think I want to spend too much on a travel system as I knew someone who did who then returned it as they couldn't stop thinking about what else they could have spent and I know I'd be a total nightmare if it got mud etc on it lol!

I think I'm definitely going to be bargain hunting.

Those were my thoughts too Claire. For what we want/need, the sola or oyster is fine. But I love love love the Bugaboo. Just nearly £400 price difference!

Urgh not had a good day today, fainted again this morning ( after doing so yesterday) on both occasions a blinding headache came on after fainting.

Went to docs and my blood sugar is low and I'm dehyrdrated :( been in bed all day, even though I had a full nights sleep.

Back to work tomorrow then have a day off on Wednesday, they've also sent away some blood as think my iron levels might be low as i'm back to being very tired and un motivated :(

Good luck Becca, don't have a very full or completely empty bladder.

I had mine yesterday and unfortunately I can't say that I completely enjoyed it. It was early and I find it hard to fill my bladder in time. So I drank so much water that I nearly vomited and we had to pull over on the way. Then in the waiting room we saw a sign saying you needed an empty bladder for the 20 week scan. My name was simultaneously called, so I checked with the sonographer and went to the ladies. It was a male sonographer with a lady sat at a computer in the corner. I wasn't that comfortable but got on with it. Then had to practically pull down my knickers as baby was so low, they said it was because I'd just emptied my bladder so they wouldn't be able to get all the readings. Why let me do it then???? So they got some measurements and I had to go for a walk and drink more water for 30 mins. When we came back the woman did the scan but with the screen turned away from me, and she was so firm it was slightly painful. A further 2 people entered the room even though the man was still there too and my knickers were much lower than decent if you know what I mean. They then got a new man who came in, to check the kidneys while he was there. By this point I was silently fuming and upset at not seeing the baby and all the disruption. However he actually engaged with me, turned the screen round and at the end showed us images of the baby moving. All looked good. They nearly told us the gender and were surprised we didn't want to know. The first guy actually said "but what will you do about the name......pick a gender neutral one?". :rotfl:

The photo we got isn't as clear as the one at 13 weeks but it's amazing how much has changed. However my abdomen feels like I've been punched and I'm off work with a horrid virus and sore throat. :(
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!
  • Good luck today Becca :)

Kynthia that sounds awful; I'd have maybe said something about it being a male sonographer although I had a male when they were checking my insides a couple of years ago. Would definitely have something about more people entering the room! They should have knocked and waited whilst the person scanning you asked you if you were ok for them to come in - basic manners especially in that situation!

I suddenly panicked thinking I hadn't booked my 20wk scan then I remembered I must have since we know when it will be - doh!

Didn't sleep too well last night but had a lovely dinner date with bf after sewing class - he took me to Frankie and Benny's :D

We have officially started work on the nursery - I wanted yellow so we got a tester but bf isn't convinced and thinks the one we chose gets lost behind the white and silver Winnie the Pooh border we chose (I'm desperate to have that!).
I've compromised and said it can be a nice baby pink or blue depending on gender since I got my way with the Winnie the Pooh stuff. It was a little pricey for my liking (but we've been saving for over a year!) but yesterday, in my lunch hour, I nipped across and met bf and we bough the cot bed bedding set, room border, uplighter and nappy stacker from Babies 'R' Us - it's so beyond gorgeous :)

My bump is finally making a mini appearance, my tummy is definitely filling out and is much firmer to touch now...just waiting to feel more baby movement!
