12-24 weeks pregnant (part2)

I've gone through stages of everything aching and then feeling absolutely fine and not feeling pregnant at all.
At the moment I think I'm going through a stretchy pain phase.
I have very bad constipation!
^ this is me too!
Starting to feel more pregnant now...finally! And my belly is certainly filling out a little - I've only put on around 11lbs so far and I'm constantly worried about what is normal/expected in the weigh gain department! The constipation is also really frustrating me now!
sjlou I'm pretty similar; I'm down to 3 dresses, a skirt, a pair of trousers and a mish mash of tops which fit. Now I'm filling out a little more I think I can start letting myself think about maternity clothes!
I'm another finding it difficult to get comfy at night, I wouldn't mind one of those big pillows but can't find one at a price I would be happy with!
We have our buggy/travel system. We got one from Kiddicare on a really good offer (very heavily reduced!) black outer with a travel themed print inside (think cars, planes, passports and landmarks). We got the carry cot, pushchair and car seat plus the frame (with large zip-able shopping basket) for a little over £100. It can all go front or rear facing but you have to take the carry cot off to fold it (not so bad really!). We have a Ford Kuga 2 so not a major problem space wise as the carrycot/pushchair seat will go on the floor in the back seat and the frame will go next to bf's day chair - Rugby travel wise we will do it differently due to the rugby chair!
And when I'm not with him bf will use his baby carrier as he can't push the pram and wheel his chair at the same time!************************************

I got a couple of super cheap pillow and put one under my waist and one between my knees when I sleep which so far has supported my back. We are lucky here in that you can self refer to a physio when you are expecting and are usually seen within a week.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

I put a pillow between my knees too, one minute I'm on my left side, then right side, then my back.. I "should" be sleeping on my left side from what I've read, but it's not easy finding a comfortable position!
My style at the moment is consisting of a stretchy long top/knee length dress with a baggier shorter top/jumper over it to "skim" over the belly. I'm quite short so a long top is like a dress for me anyway. The problem I'm having is with tights, I've got loads of 40 denier black lycra tights in small/medium size and it's fine over the belly for a while but then I'm rolling them down under the bump for comfort as the day goes on.
The only thing I've bought for my changing shape is a bigger bra, got it in TK Maxx for £7 at the weekend. I'm so pleased to be buying a larger cup size, fits so nicely as wellGot 2 jumpers for £5 each from a shop which is closing down.
I'll probably get my buggy from a facebook selling page or ebay nearer the time.0 -
I have been in maternity clothes for months! The only normal clothes that fit me now are a few bubble hem tops and my cardigans. I have been lucky though in that a lot of people have been very generous and given me bags of maternity clothes. Failing that I would have been living in about 5 different items of clothing as all our spare pennies are going towards maternity leave.
Today I am crocheting some clothes and a blanket for my baby boy, it will be lovely to dress him in things that I have madeAlso trying to convince myself that I want to do some batch cooking to fill the freezer a bit more.

I have started batch cooking and freezing 'homemade ready meals' in those foil take out containers. need more of varying sizes so I can stash lasagne etc too.************************************

Most of the clip-in bases require ISOFIX. I think I found one or two that didn't.
But you don't need to worry about that, since you have ISOFIX. You can just pick the one you want and try it out.
Ok that's good.
But now if I get a base from what twig pig has said I also need to choose between the easy fix & the family fix! Wow these manufactures like to make things complicated!
I guess if we got a car seat that was the 0+ -1 it makes sense to get the family one.
I'm really hoping this is gonna be obvious in the shops lol!
I think I might end up following birdie & picking the closest thing on the shelf & loosing the will to live! :rotfl:0 -
Twig pig what do you think of your bugaboo? It's my absolute favourite!!!
I can't recommend my Dream Genii highly enough, it's amazing!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
I've fallen in love with the Bebetto V Style travel system in limited edition Grey. I cant find any reviews or info on it though, it's an Italian brand new to the UK is about as much as I know.0
