Yes! We're lucky enough to get a free £40 voucher. It will be nice to get some brand new from the shop.

Today I got x10 unused Motherease birth to potty (5 cotton and 5 bamboo) for £45, which I thought was ace. I still need wraps and inserts though. Lots of used small wraps on fleabay for cheap, and since they only do up to 12lb I thought that could be a good cheap option. I'm planning to rope my Mum in to make some inserts, or at least extra stuffers when I go home in March.

What were you thinking of getting Mrs TM? Tbh, it has taken me about 3 days to understand the ins and outs of all the options!

Planning on getting some bamboo pocket nappies one size with inserts from Amazon (Babyland ones), plus anything I can find on freegle or freecycle. I'm not fussed, so long as it keeps the wee and poo in! :p

We have three Nature Babies ones - size 1 (got them plus inserts, never been used, for £10) already. They are 2 microfibre all in ones and 1 terry pocket nappy with a wrap. Washed the terry one two days ago and it's still not dry! Thus the decision on the bamboo pocket ones. We don't have a dryer, but hopefully things will dry a bit quicker during the summer when I can hang things outdoors again.

Has anyone heard of this website? Is it legit?

  • Cllola - I have got the medela swing, sounds like you had a bargain. Used with with both my dds its really easy to use :)

Robotsindisguise - hope you are feeling better x

Lol at my mistake talking about 3 dds - though I do feel quite strongly Im having a girl Im def not finding out. Got my repeat 20 week scan tomorrow......fingers crossed all is ok and she is able to see the heart properly. I think she managed to get all of the other measurements.

We have got our boys name (I think) as we had it on my 2 previous pregnancies and obv never used it! Maybe destined never to be used. Got a handful of favourites for girls - ive always had a firm favourite prior to giving birth but always talked about a few names with family so its a surprise to them :)

Claire16c I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't had a bloom!! Really hoping once this bladder infection clears up I'll feel a bit more 'lovely pregnant lady-like'

At least your other half is still bigger than you, I've now overtaken mine and officially weigh more than him!!

Cllola that breast pump is the one my best friend is lending me, so I hope it's good, she never used it but it looks a pretty good one! Lol at your bedroom being haunted, don't know why but that made me laugh quite a lot!! I wouldn't want OH to sleep separately to me either so I totally understand how you feel, luckily we have a massive super kingsize bed but he often moans that he gets no room :D

Sunshine81 I don't know about that site but I'm scared to click the link in case it's bad lol!! I'm sure someone else will know about it!

Aquamarinemonkey sorry to hear you're suffering also :( I never thought the hip/pelvic pain could be so debilitating but it's just awful, the worst thing is normally I would just sleep on my front but obviously we don't have any choice but to sleep on one or our hips! I'm trying every sort of pillow support under the hip but it doesn't really make any difference! Luckily when I went to the doctors about my bladder infection, they also asked about my hip and as it was still bad they've referred me for physio. Can you ask your doctor for a physio referral too? No idea how long it'll take to come but I'll let you know!

Thanks everyone for your best wishes :)

  • I don't think you can choose a name for absolute definite certain until you actually set eyes on the baby - it might look all wrong for the actual infant once you see him or her.

I totally agree ndg - OH has chosen a name for jellybean and he is set that this is what her name is going to be, but I've made it very clear that we won't decide for sure until she is born!! Problem is he's already talking to her using that name and he's told his parents who absolutely love the name also, when I'm not even decided that I like it yet!!!! Grrrr men!!!!

Re hips- I have a memory foam topper on my mattress but I still get hip pains during the night, I've put a thick duvet under the sheet for some extra cushioning and it's helping a little bit. I really really want to sleep on my front though as that was my pre pregnancy default position...I want it so much I dreamt about it the other night! I thought it was only once the babies are here that we dream about sleep!

Great to heat good reviews about the breast pump. I'm planning to exclusively breast feed for at least 4 months but want to try and get her used to a bottle from a few weeks old so she can be given expressed breast milk, that way I can provide breast milk for her when she's at nursery when I go back to work in October. I hope she's listening to all of these plans and co-operates lol!

Mysec thats a flipping cheek! I hope it doesn't put you in an awkward position if you decide to pick another name. I told my hubby "what comes out of my vag is mine to name!" Pmsl!

Luckily we both love the name we've chosen and personally it helps me feel bonded to her, but I can see the argument that some babies don't "look" like a particular name.

Lara what a great buy! I've bought some disposables but have been eyeing up bots tots reusable ones, there's some really lovely ones but I'm unsure of everything you need to go with them.

Robots I'm really hoping you're over the worst period, can your midwife get you a scan quickly to double check? Massive hug xxx

Got another baby bargain today: fisher price rainforest playmat for £5 off a facebook selling group (not the musical melody one, the flat one with one arch). Our son had it when he was a baby so it's nice to think that they can both have the same one :)
  • trying to be organised I ordered a maternity dress off ASOS for a wedding I'm going to in 4 weeks time, thought id order maternity as I don't know how big/small my bump will be in 4 weeks! got it today I'm so disappointed, it's horrific ha, looks like a tent! you could fit 4 of me in it, it's so baggy. very unflattering, I'll be returning it and looking for a normal dress that's not too fitted I think ha!

That's such a shame fireyfirenze, you can get some really lovely maternity dresses but they so vary in the fit and sizing drastically, it's so difficult to plan ahead for something like that when our bodies are constantly changing too! Hope you find something!
