spent all day today writing an assignment for college about the social and medical models of disability, feel like my brain is going to explode...
Not surprised!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

^^^ this, I really hope she starts to get better soon mrshappy xxx
Aqm no I'm not under consultant care, I dont even had a midwife lol! Its because they couldn't do all the checks at the last scan so I have to have a rescan.
Ndg, that sounds nasty, are you still having the sickness too? I hope you feel better soon, at least you can stay in chambers (or better still, work from home!) Tommorow!
Firefrenzy I know what you mean re the food! I have such a sweet tooth now (its not my fault the baby loves chocolate!) That I have to be really careful what I eat jow, I've put on 6 pounds now and really trying not to get any bigger!0 -

I worked at home today - court tomorrow, but not too far away, Feltham on Wednesday, central London again on Thursday. Could be worse, the advantage of being self-employed is that if I want to stay at home and sulk, I can!
I think <touch wood> the sickness is easing off a touch. I'm not actually vomiting every day any more, at least twice in the last week I've made it through the whole day without being sick....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
I don't have a clue what I weighed before I got pregnant so I don't know if iv put weight on or not! I mean I almost definitely have but I wouldn't know how much ha. 6lb is nothing, I was reading the 18 week pregnant section on bounty.com today and it says 'the target weight gain for the 2nd trimester is 12-19lb'.0

Ndg glad to gear the sickness has got better, hoping that you've just got a 24hr thing x and yes, being your own boss (well as much as you can be in chambers anyway) is bound to have some upsides!
Ff, a target weight gain?! Makes it sound like a competition pmsl! I agree that 6lb doesnt sound much, but im a size 16 already so not really wanting to get too big!Having said that thought, I'm kind of enjoying looking pregnant rather than just extra fat pmsl :rotfl:0 -
My 'target' weight gain for the entire pregnancy is zero! So far, I've actually lost 2 kg. I have the midwife's, consultants, and the health trainers ok for not gaining weight, and I'm definitely not going to be trying to lose.
Anyway, here is the obligatory once per week bump photo! Same gown as last week, but real baby is catching up with food baby! :rotfl:0 -
Love the bump pic... I haven't taken one this week, I have had a lazy week and as a result I think baby has retreated to my pelvis and shrunk my bump a little! It popped out again earlier though when I was doing the food shopping lol
Also... I think I've felt my first flutterings of baby movement, but can't be sure! x

Good evening everyone, hope you're all well. After moaning for ages about not feeling baby kick, after the few things I felt the other day today she has been moving literally ALL day long!! It still only feels like popping at the moment but it's been going on all day!!
OH and I had a manic evening, went to Morrisons as they are doing reductions on bumper pampers packs at the moment, so we got loads, and then went to Asda to see what they had in their baby event. Was most unimpressed! I'm still feeling really poo with my bladder infection, on day 4 of my 7 day antibiotic course so I'm really hoping I'll start to feel better soon. Had to leave work early day to go home and rest in bed for a few hours, and might stay in bed tomorrow and call in sick. Blah!!!
I'll have to post a bump pic of my own - I feel like I've gotten proper huge the last couple of weeks!!Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T
Maternity leave fund: £3000/£6000 :T0 -
Ooh whoever was talking about weight I was tiny before I got pregnant at about 8 stone (but some of that was muscle due to weight lifting at the gym etc) , and now I'm 9 stone 9lbs, but we did go on a 2 week holiday just before we found out I was pregnant, so I reckon my weight gain is about 1 stone due to baby and 9lbs due to holiday!!
I've effectively gone from a size 6 to a size 10-12 (10 bottoms, 12 on top) in about 4 months!! A very new concept for me, as I've never been bigger than a size 8 in my life!!
22 weeks + 1 day todayOur first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

Ooh exciting Sunshine!.
Lovely pic mrs TM
NDG I hope you continue to feel better.
my secretariats I hope you start to feel better soon. It sounds like a day in bed recovering will do you good.
I had quite a bit of stomach pain Thursday/fri/sat, and wondered if it was a growth spurt or something. I'm still at 94.5 kg, have been since Xmas, ( I was 99kg when I got pregnant!), but I'm definitely eating better. Haven't been sick since Friday! And haven't had a nap since Thursday!
.... So of course I'm now worrying at my symptoms going. It'll be 2 weeks on Wednesday after the Amnio, which is when the 'reportable danger period' for mc ends. I had some different discharge mid last week, but not enough to describe as 'noteworthy'. Though apparently there's only 250ml of fluid around baby at this stage, which isn't much to loose! Gee, sorry, I guess I won't be content until I can hear the heartbeat or see a scan again
Isn't it funny, I'm feeling more well than I have in 21/2 months today, and it's just got me worried! Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0
