Well, one of you will be right pmsl!
Robots woo hoo brilliant news! I bet you and oh are relieved, now you can relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy stress free! So happy for you!
Hi wangdoodle and welcome
Cheeseaddict congrats! Another girl eh? This thread is very pink atm!0 -
Wow lots of happy news. Amazing news robots, you must be so relieved and congratulations on your lovely 20 week scans becs and cheese.
Only 6 days until mine...feel like I have to wait for aaaaaages, I'm already 20+2...I want my scan nooooooooow! *hormonal feet stamping*.
I am feeling lots of movement now which is lovely, it's mainly at night though, I think probably because baby gets rocked to sleep with my movements in the day.
I've had a few hormonal days, not sure why to be honest but I've just spent 3 days crying over god knows what!
Re nipple stinging - not really had this, just sore boobs and (TMI ALERT) my nipples have gone really big and dark. Hope those who are suffering get releif soon, someone mentioned cuddling a hot water bottle, that sounds like a great idea!
Welcome wangdoodle and any other newbies I have missed!0 -

Fantastic news about the results of your amnio robots, you must be so relieved!
Nice to see you on the thread wangdoodle, good news that your Downs results have come back as low risk. I'm still waiting for my results, they said it could take 3 weeks for the letter to arrive though due to the time of year and it's only be 10 days so far! I'm sure if it came back high risk they'd have contacted me already.
Hope you manage to find a house you like mysecretalias!
I was told if they get a high risk result you'd be called within a day or so there is no way they'd send you a letter in 3 weeks time so I think your result should be fine0 -

I've had this for the past couple of days so I'm glad it's not just me. yesterday I woke up feeling grumpy. had a minor fallout with my sister via text which was my fault for being impatient and irritable ha. then lost my patience with my grandma which I never do! then spent most of the rest of the day crying cos I felt like I was being a horrible person but I couldn't help it!
I hope it's not just me :-/ hope it passes soon!0 -
Definitely not just you fireyfirenze, this week I spent Monday to Wednesday in virtual non stop tears! no reason either! Seem to be over it for now though haha x
Re the stinging nipples YES! At least three times a day I feel like someone is putting hot pokers through my boobs, it's awful. I've been using microwave wheat bags to soothe them, which has worked, however since finding out I'm pregnant TWO have burnt through the material in the microwave, even though we are checking it's not touching the microwave sides, rotating correctly and putting it on for the recommended time. So I'm not buying one and using a good old hot water bottle x
Hope everyone is OK, seems we are generally plodding along nicely atm lol x

I gotsome 'headache balm' for chrimbo which is nice to rub on your temples but not as good as a nice big paracetamol tablet of course ! I'm avoiding taking any though, i know you can take small amounts but I just felt guilty about it last time i took one, so headache balm it is !
You are totally allowed to take the full paracetamol dosage listed on the packet. It's very safe in pregnancy and there is no need to suffer unnecessarily. All I would do is make sure it's just paracetamol and not got other active ingredient like decongestants. I tend to buy the supermarket brand ones as they are just basic paracetamol.
Cllola, I think nearly everyone's areolae get bigger and darker as mine certainly have. My NCT breastfeeding teacher said that it possibly so that the baby can find the nipple easier due to seeing in contrast.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -

Did you put a half full glass of water in the microwave with it while heating it? I have one and the instructions were very adamant on making sure the water was in there, otherwise they will burn.0 -
Thank you so much everyone for sharing so positively in my relief
And thank you so very very much for all of your support, I genuinely don't know how I'd have coped without you lovely bunch and repeating over & over some of the good things you've said to me xxx
The birthday lunch went well, then I popped off to New Look whilst hubby went to the library. I am so glad I did as they had final reductions on some maternity clothes... (Which I just wasn't able to even think about before our good test results).
So I now have 2 pairs of under bump skinny jeans (my size & next size up) & a beautiful smart but comfy floaty top with birds on, full price it'd have been £56.97, but it cost me £21.00!! :T :money: woo!!:D

Ooh no, never heard that, and the instructions on mine don't mention it either  ah well.....
Was supposed to be chilling out today, and I have, lay on the sofa doing some sewing with an ever increasing round bump (my belly button is just warped!), but then I casually mentioned a holiday (for next year) to OH and he knows how much I need/love my holidays and he came all over all reluctant, allegedly just joking, but it's set my tears off again! This week has been horrid for tears and I can see by reading all the pg threads I'm not alone!!

I described it like being poked with multiple cold needles today! Usually goes away after a few minutes but has been almost continual today.
Thanks for the idea of trying heat. I have one of those cuddly toy wheat things, the instructions said to sprinkle the bag with water every 3rd time you microwave it, is pretty similar to mrs T
Congratulations cheese! sounds like a very cute scan
Hello wangdoodle, nice to see you again.
aquamarine , I agree with Claire. I was told if the results were normal it'd be by letter, if not then the results would be emailed to your hospital and midwife who would then get in touch personally, thus making worrying news more quickly delivered coz no waiting for the postal system. Please forgive the badly spelt alias...
