I had some of it saved before I knew about baby, I wish I could save 9 grand in 20 weeks!
Am I right that you've also been confirmed as team blue? x
Nope - we don't find out until our scan on Monday, I'm convinced it's a girl and OH is convinced it's a boyOur first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

I wish my scan would hurry up! seems to be going so slow...
anyone find that now they're pregnant all everyone talks to you about is...pregnancy related things? don't get me wrong I'm excited about everything but I can talk about normal things like I used to! it's mainly at work really, everytime I see a colleague they're like oooh how're you doing?! I know they're just being lovely but I feel like I don't have lots to say, I honestly feel fine, they don't need to know I'm constantly going for a wee haha.
OH's mum texts a lot too, mostly just 'how are you feeling?' I feel boring replying with the same thing. hmm do I sound ungrateful? I hope not.
16+1 today0 -
good luck with your scans tomorrow becs and cheeseaddict.
Finally had a reasonable nights sleep last night, and OH kept DS downstairs tonight while I had a nice relaxing bath rather than my usual rushed bath. So glad it's Friday tomorrow, it's been hard doing a 5 day week again after 2 short weeks!0 -
Hello everyone !
Sorry i've not been around for a couple of weeks, had a lovely xmas and new year and the thread wasn't really a very nice place to be a couple of weeks ago so i stayed away and only ventured back this morning. Seems all is well again ! Yey ! I have about 12 pages to catch up on tho !
Someone said something about having bad headaches.... i feel your pain ! I gotsome 'headache balm' for chrimbo which is nice to rub on your temples but not as good as a nice big paracetamol tablet of course ! I'm avoiding taking any though, i know you can take small amounts but I just felt guilty about it last time i took one, so headache balm it is !
I had a blood test to calculate the Down's risk in week 12, but the results go straight to my doc and he only tells me if the results show a high risk. I havent heard from him yet, so hoping all's well.
My sickness is definately going now, i still feel sicky at about lunch time and if im tired, but no where near as bad as a couple of weeks ago ! Hurrah !
Hope you're all well, here's to a brilliant year filled with happy, healthy babies ! Xx0 -
Morning everyone!
Ok TMI alert but the last two days my nipples have been stinging beyond belief! Yesterday the left one was hurting, today it's the right one! Is this normal or am I going mad?

Hello, glad to hear you had a nice Christmas!
About the paracetamol thing if it makes you feel less guilty, I've been told by both my consultant, and my doctor, that as long as you don't exceed the dosage on the box (i.e no more than 8 tablets in 24 hours) like everyone else, then it has absolutely no effect on baby. So don't feel guilty if you need to take 1 or 2 every so oftenOur first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

Not had that this time, but I remember them being really painful for a while like you describe with Isaac - I found warmth really helped, a hot water bottle to cuddle is perfect....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I've been suffering with this from as early in this pregnancy as I can remember, and god forbid I get cold, then they get so painful I could cry! Sometimes my boobs also feel swollen although this isn't as often. So if you're not normal neither am I!!
I'm another one that's suffering with headaches alot. Never used to get them pre-pregnancy but I think most of the time it's due to tiredness
14 weeks today - It's starting to fly by!0 -
I still haven't heard the results yet. Should be this afternoon but might be Monday if the test place is busy. Ive been ok up until about an hour ago and now I'm going mad with worry. I want the phone to ring. I don't want the phone to ring. Im still a bit sore / wary so have just given up on doing anything more productive and have retuned to my nest in the bed (still set up with book, water, tablet, pillows etc from yesterday and Wednesday) just to try to relax a bit. I'm worried about my blood pressure due to the stress of not knowing and am too anxious to eat so haven't taken my BP meds.
So I'm sorry I'm coming on here bringing my worry with you.
Husband is at work (with a bad back) and the dog is asleep downstairs, she is ill with (I think cystitis), and I took her wee sample in to the vets this morning... And the vet said he'd call this afternoon so that's both of us waiting on test results!!
