Me too! I've had two already today and no doubt will have some more.0

This is strange haha - a nice strange though
I've been feeling lots of movement the past few days, I love the feeling- can't believe i'm over the half way point.
I do have a little concern however, my due date is 8 May and my mam and dad are returning from holiday on the 6th... I really hope the baby can hold off until they return - I read somewhere most first time mothers go over their due date - really hope this will apply to me! If not, I do have a lot of support around me but it wouldn't be the same without my mam
Most people I know who have had kids tried everything to get them out - eating curries etc - I will be doing the opposite and keeping my legs tightly closed together :rotfl:0 -

My mother would use it in a sentence such as, "If you don't stop moidering that cat she'll scratch you and it'll serve you right."...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Thanks ladies, I turned my phone off, had a relaxing bath (as relaxing as it can be with a five year old making 'snow' with the bubbles
) , and a chill out reading with him. Think I felt a slight flutter so I'm feeling a lot more relaxed. Phone is not going on again now so ****head can't upset me!
Thanks again for your help.0 -

My little man took his time. I was due to be induced at 7am on the Saturday (2 weeks after due date) he decided to make his appearance at 12:14am. He cut it fine! ha
Do you know what your having?0 -
I hope that happens for me
No, I decided against finding out, for me as long as the baby is healthy the sex isn't important - adds to the excitement on the day
Preference would be a girl (as apparently I was an easy baby and my brother was very hard work), but I really really don't mind0 -
My Nan said she is hoping for another boy as apparently girls are hard work, don't know what she is trying to say as I have been the only girl for a very long time haha
Well I hope your little one stays snug until your mum gets home0 -
Finally was able to have a nice relaxing bath. First relaxing one in 10 weeks! I may have gotten a bit too warm, even though I was drinking cold water during it. Have my head sticking out of our open bedroom window now until I cool down a bit! Still need to wash my hair and face, but will try washing those bent over the tub with the shower head. I really do need to bathe more often, but having the bleed at 6 weeks in the shower and my depression (although it is being treated) hinders me mentally with bathing.
I'm thinking of getting some vanilla candles to light to help me relax a bit more while I'm in there and I'm going to buckle down and get a routine down for morning and night before the little one arrives. Those things should help. DH already combs and dries my hair when I wash it, sort of as a reward, which helps too.
Does anyone have any ideas to help make bath time more relaxing and less overwhelming?
Also, I shaved my legs! Woo! Took a bit of repositioning and yoga to reach everything, but I did it!0 -
Hi ladies, I hope you are all well? I've been hiding on the other thread since getting a bit upset here. So please forgive me if I just write and catch up with the goings on here afterwards (In case I run away again!) as it seems to me the best course of action as I Don't want to leave behind the lovely ladies who I grew to know on the -12 weeks thread.
Feel free to go over there and take a look if any of you are interested in the saga that was a horrible experience at a consultant visit, followed by emergency admittance to hospital, medication and a prognosis that I might not carry to term. (as its a few pages ago here's a link to what happened: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=64189057&postcount=7431 )
- I did receive a lot of Very useful information from the ladies there.
That was the day before Xmas eve. On the day after Boxing Day the Midwife called round, and called round again the next day... my Nuchal Test results were not good. (Post here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=64189070&postcount=7432)
So it was back to the hospital again today (4th visit in just over a week) to discuss the results. And the news at the midwife appointment wasn't great. It was expected as they only call you in if your Nuchal test is iffy... which ours is. It's a 1 in 30 chance of downs. Or 97% chance of being fine. The actual Nuchal measurement is apparently fine, it's the 2 hormone factors in my blood which are the worrying thing
The midwife started sighing when i asked her to slow down and explain the numbers again (im dyslexic), so I got brave and told her my notes do say i am dyslexic, anxious and depressed. She was more accommodating after that. Though when giving bad/worrying news I'd have hoped they would have been nice from the start. Oh well.
So I think I'm in shock. I'm certainly very very worried. I wish this was easy. I wish my test results had been fine. Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0 -
Robots - If I understand correctly, if there's a 97% chance of being fine, then there is only a 3% chance of something being wrong. That's still a very small percentage, so please do your best to not worry (I know, way easier said than done!).
If you need to, write to the supervisor of midwives for your area, and AIMS (http://www.aims.org.uk/) about how you've been treated. Put it into writing, and they are more likely to get back with you, and try to fix what's been done. Just an e-mail should work.
Be brave hun, this is YOUR baby, and you are to be respected! *hugs*0
