I got the Mamas and Papas Zoom package, it was such a good deal and it is really easy to fold and use. The carrycot is really comfy looking as well. I'm very excited about it all.0

I still feel sickwhen did you ladies start feeling better ?! I'm told the 2nd trimester is the best, you feel loads better and have lots more energy ! I know i'm only just coming out of the 1st trimester.... but i can't wait to feel human again. Poor OH is doing the lion's share of everything whilst i rest up, he never complains though bless him.
Hugs to all Xx
Most people start feeling better about 12 to 15 weeks, I gather.
It partly depends, I think, how badly sick you were - if you were one of those unfortunate souls who was vomiting 10 times a day, it might well take a bit longer to wear off.
The baby gets what it needs, even if your body suffers, so don't worry about the baby being deprived - I was on an incredibly limited diet until I was about 15 weeks pregnant, for a couple of months I could only eat cream crackers and yogurt, more or less. I was feeling very tired and run down because of not eating properly, but the 20 week scan 2 days ago showed that the baby is absolutely fine. I've been able to eat a lot more different stuff since I started taking tablets at 15 weeks.cheeseaddict wrote: »
Yes I'll be finding out. I have a five year old boy who is desperate to know if he is getting a brother or sister, I couldn't cope with the mithering up until May :rotfl:
Same for us - we didn't find out at the 20 week scan last time round, but Isaac (our 8 year old) was driving us up the wall with wanting to find out (-:
Mithering - where's that word from? We use "moidering", which I think is Lancashire / Cheshire (where my grandparents were from)....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Don't want to take the "tone" of the thread on here back down again or upset everyone, and I am not pregnant so shouldn't be on here but....
Mary - I really hope you receive some support from somewhere for how you are feeling. It was extremely silly of you to assume that you would have a boy and not even contemplate a girl coming along BUT that isn't the issue right now.
What matters is that you talk to someone about how you feel and what has happened in the past, if you are able to do that. I would suggest, tentatively, that if you haven't already received support for the past, then this is the absolute right time to start doing so
I understand why people on here have got het up - hormones are running high and so are emotions. I have been ttc for many years nowAnd I too would be happy with a boy or girl. But that is me - I am not in your situation and am glad I am not (sorry if that sounds brutally honest)
I really hope you find peace and are able to deal with your issues - I hope that in time you come to the right decision, whatever decision that may be xxxxxxxxxxBaldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -

Great idea re your phtographer, much cheaper than a professional Nd tbh I think its more comfortable having someone you know taking the photos, sounds like you had a great daywedding, first kicks and Christmas all in a short space of time, how lovely
I've taken my husbands name, I'm the only child of an absent father so keeping his surname didn't really mean anything to me!
Yeah we have some really nice natural photos and we hardly did any posing (which I hate)! Lol the kicks on the evening of my wedding day were funny, it was almost like baby was having a tantrum and reminding me that he/she was there! Either that or my one glass of champagne had made its way there!0 -

Lol, we always use mithering... I'm on the Greater Manchester / Lancashire border. I've never heard of moidering!0 -
iv never heard of moldering either but mithering is commonly used here
and I'm in the same area as sunshine.
feeling a bit down for the last couple of days iv had a really tender stomach and stomach ache, it's not cramps or anything, in fact I'm pretty sure it's because of constipation (glamorous!) but I don't like it and wish it'd go away cos it makes me worry. might make a doctors appointment in a few days if it doesn't, iv just started lactulose so maybe that'll help.
can't stop thinking about prams after yesterday's baby shoppingbut also slightly worried about the start up costs of a baby! think me and oh need to start saving a little extra than we usually do, doesn't help as OH is going on 3 stag do's before the baby is here, all abroad ones :undecided and the other day we went to book a room for our good friends wedding in February and it was £125! much more than I expected, could have bought us a crib that. anyway I'll stop moaning now hehe.

I'm in Cheshire, another one whos never heard of moidering. I might start using it though just to mix things up a bit :rotfl:0 -
'Mithering'. My mum uses that from her mum who was from Lincolnshire. I use it too"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
