A few years ago, she was generally unwell, lots of stomach problems, and lost weight which she couldn't really afford to do. She kept trying to get medical help to find out why she couldn't eat properly and was feeling so rubbish, and they all assumed she was anorexic or something, because she was just under 7 stone by then and very, very skinny Eventually my Dad lost his patience, and carted her off to a private doctor for a comprehensive check, and she was diagnosed as a Coeliac, and once on a gluten-free diet, felt better almost immediately and slowly gained enough weight to stop looking like a famine victim.
She got seriously fed up of people telling her she wasn't overweight, she needed to eat more - she was well aware of that, but also well aware than she was feeling rotten all the time and food made it worse!
Sounds awful bless her! well i'm 5 ft 4 and before pregnancy weighed around 7st 5 - which I believe the BMI is 18 - anything under 18.5 is classed as underweight so borderline really!0 -
She's never going to be large, she's just not like that. But on a strict absolutely gluten-free diet (which is tedious to manage, but do-able) she's now completely healthy, and slim, rather than dangerously skinny....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

:rotfl:I don't know monitoring if your under weight, at an ok weight or over wieght:rotfl:
Lets just accept we will all be monitored 1001 different reasons. :rotfl:
On a plus point I think I am feeling something occasionally, its very slight almost like popping in my tummy. Not something I remember from DS though. Its not a definate movement. But I am feeling something.3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Hi all hope you're okay today. I'm being kicked lots just now.. just ate a Mcdonalds so not sure if baby loves it or hates it lol !!
Had a dilemma in pets at home today... needed dog food ( 17kg bag) but I didn't have £1 for a trolley OR a trolley coin.. they don't sell them as I asked that first so I'm stood there thinking how on earth do I go about this ( before I would have lifted/dragged but wasn't risking it) when finally some kind burly man came and asked if I needed a hand... he lifted it to till then out to my car for me, glad I now look pregnant and not just fat lol!!0 -
17kg sounds like a lot, pregnant or not!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Yay Mrs_T_M - did you get your scan date in the hospital - I was told to go to this little window on my way out where I was offered times and dates - obviously I picked the earliest one lol!
Just a question as you have just had it - 12 week scan - you didn't have to pay for your pictures due to the view? Did you manage a full bladder as I know you mentioned you had been struggling with the thought of lots of fluid?

I was originally assigned the 28th Jan, but mentioned that the 29th was my birthday, and the lady asked if we wanted to change it, I looked at DH and he said, "well, it would give me a good excuse to take the whole day off!" so I said, sure, lets do it on my birthday.
They were running 30 minutes or so behind when we arrived (we got in 20 minutes after our appointment time), but we arrived a full hour before my appointment! After riding on a really bumpy long bus ride, I had to let some out, but by the time they called us back, it was completely full to hurting again. I've a bit of a pooch on my lower belly, so she had to press really hard to get a clear enough pic to date baby and check things. I feel like I'm bruised! The blurriness is from me being fat to put it in a short answer, or however political correctly they put it. :rotfl:
I honestly don't mind, we were able to see the little one, it's heart beat, and know it's ok and growing well. For the first time in my life that I can remember, I'm not trying to lose weight, and for the first time in my life, I've been losing without trying! I'll probably start gaining a bit now, since my appetite has come back full force with little one waking me at 3 AND 5 now wanting food!0 -
Mrs_T_M I did get one good picture but the rest were not great - I have seen some really good ones that friends have had but my uterus tips back and that combined with my bladder apprently being too full and an unruley baby it took ages to get a good picture?
Did you get the Downs Test with the measuring?
The people before me at the 12 week scan had just found out they were having twins. The lady looked delighted but the man looked like he was about to faint! I guess if you know nothing about twins or anymore and you get told there is not one but two that is pretty amazing. Despite that, made me feel even more nervous my scan was so long as baby just keep showing its head or bottom which was lovely but you want a profile for the measuring I think.
I felt sore after my scan. It hurt a lot. They pressed really hard, hoping at 12 weeks they won't need to so much. And they were so low as well with the handheld bit almost on my hairline downstairs!
Baby doesn't wake me up yet I still sleep through anything. I really do like fish though. Not sure what that means.3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

First thing they said at my 12 week scan - "just the one baby", and it was something of a relief, to be honest! Although before she said that, the prospect of twins hadn't really occurred to me.
I found one baby at once quite enough when Isaac was a newborn....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
