My next is 19 weeks, I wouldn't worry - they aren't really set in stone....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Chelseablue thats a bargain, you should treat yourself to an early Christmas present!
Mrs T M so nice to see you!
Ndg the midwife recommended I have a glucose test as she said wS at risk of diabetes, although she was the size of a house so it was quite hypocritical! Sounds like too much of a faff for my liking!0 -
Mine will be 16 weeks + 3 days - I don't think it has to be 16 on the dot.
Kynthia thanks again - I know he doesn't have to come and lots of partners don't - but he was adamant from the start that he wanted to come to every appointment and the only one he didn't make so far was my consultants appointment which my best friend ended up coming to with me, and we ended up hearing baby's heart beat and he was devastated that he didn't get to hear it before my best friend and sat and promised me (but really he was promising himself) that he would make every appointment from then on. So that's why this was a little upsetting. Also last time my urine came up as high sugar and I've been really stressed recently so I was worried about this appointment and everything being well with baby so it's just a bit annoying that he can't come.
He was really upset about it this afternoon when he came homeOur first baby due 25th May 2014 :T
Maternity leave fund: £3000/£6000 :T0 -
My midwife is worried about low weight as my bmi is 22.5 at present. I am not worried. I was the same with my son there were growth worries and Ds1 was born at 37 weeks weighing 7lb12oz.
Its alot of the time precautionary.
Hope the tests are clear for you xx3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Welcome Mrs T_M! So pleased for you! x
All of you talking about MW apts - I make mine after my next scan I think so I will be at least 21 weeks! Wouldn't be surprised if they say wait until 24 weeks!
Starting to tell everyone now - work etc,,, don't really like all of the attention that goes with it. Children are sooo excited - its going to be a long time until 30th May!
Was up 4 times to go to the toilet last night.... - I know the visits do calm down for a bit - am I nearly there???0 -

I'm still at 6 times per night, worse last night because I couldn't sleep. Think I'm starting to get a sinus infection. Ugh. Means two rounds of antibiotics minimum. Only reason I have it is because the midwife said not to take my cetirizine! If I don't take my allergy tablets, I end up with horrid sinus infections. Have every year of my life other than the ones I've been taking the medicine.0 -
Room for a little one?
Had my 12 week scan last Friday and they dated me at exactly 12 weeks, so today I am 12+5. Have my next scan on the 31st January so not too long to wait to see beany again!Expecting Baby No 1 - 20/06/14 - Team Yellow!0 -

Wow I'm glad I don't have her dread to think what she'd say about me! 22.5 is totally normal?' My friend had one who was a bit like that, put her under consultant care and kept asking her husband if she ate food! In the end the consultant told her to stop coming to see him as it was wasting everyone's time. I think her bmi at the start was 17 and her baby was also around 7lb something.
My bmi was 17 something at my booking in, I was a bit less than usual then because of my sickness, normally it's around 18/18.5, and now I'm 25 weeks and it's now 19.8. I've put on a stone. I've got my 25 week appt today so wonder if they'll weigh me. I'm quite proud about how much I've put on as normally I really struggle!0 -
Morning ladies, still reading back... but
mysecretalias - I get on really well with my MIL but would never dream or having anyone but hubby at scans. My hospital also doesn't let Dad in to the first part of the 20 week scan (only at the 20w one). They explain that they really need to concentrate to check all the baby parts and then invite him in about half way through. I think it also might be 1 person only to accompnay you....
With last baby, I asked the sonographer to keep the screen off until my hubby came in so I wouldn't see anything he'd miss.
I honestly think it's a very personal time and wouldn't want his mum or mine with us. Maybe you could meet them for lunch straight after to share the baby photos, assuming that everything will be ok, as a compromise.....TTC #3..........0
