I only have a pink blanket and a blue and white spotted one - our 20 week scan is at the end of the month so I was just going to wait until then to start buying.

    :)

Glad i'm not the only one lol!!

Reason I haven't bought much clothes wise is that we are team yellow and I'm not overly keen on lots of neutral clothes as I will want pink and blue when baby is here mainly !

Room is getting done after christmas, OH is going to tidy the attic room when he's on his A/L so that the furniture that is currently in spare room can go there... then OH parents are paying for us to decorate the spare room into babys room :) CANNOT DECIDE ON COLOURS/THEME THOUGH !!

Will probably buy more after christmas but at this stage not even sure what we need !

My brother is getting us a baby swing chair for Christmas, have cot, moses basket (i think), furniture is sorted... still to get baby monitor, pram ( parents getting), ummm not sure what else !!

Might start getting things organised for hospital bag but atm that's too scary a thought !!!!!!

I've decided this is a must after Xmas for me (due 25th Feb) but the thought of packing a bag makes it all seem real!

Does anyone know if the hospital gives you a list? I've seen the lists on here and my sister has written me one but hers includes things that she doesn't think you really need but the hospital insisted on...

Most of the lists vary but there are some things this time I will take that I didn't think to take last time. Like a pillow that is comfortable - the one I had in hospital was so uncomfortable it had one of those plastic covers which made a noise every time I took a breath and lip salve - my lips were so dry.

It's ok Con, I'm due a couple of days after you and all I have is two sleep suits, a blanket (a gift from someone) and a playmat.

Can I just say, though, what an excellent date you've chosen as your due date? 31st March surpasses all other days in the year as a birthday.

    I wouldn't worry sweetie.....we don't even have a house yet!!!! :D

Snap! I'm due 3rd March and we have one baby grow and a piece of art for the nursery wall. I'm not kidding that is literally all we have and I'm due in 12 weeks. It's just so hard to buy anything when we're team yellow and don't have the house yet (fingers crossed the searches go well and we can complete next month).

Good morning, I have woken up this morning full of the dreaded lurgy :( sore throat, runny nose and aching all over, I'm feeling very sorry sorry for myself as I have OH and the teenagers birthdays this week and don't have time to feel yuk.
On the good side though, i have thought that I have maybe felt tiny movements from baby for a couple of days now and am now pretty sure that I am :)
Happy Monday ladies-I'm off to drag myself to work

I dont know if it the same for you but there is a list of suggested things in my maternity notes, around about the place where the birth plan is written in.

Last pregnancy i packed absolutely everything i could think of including an entire pack of newborn nappies, about 6 babygrows and vests etc plus all the things for me through labour and afterwards, half of it was unused, there were 4 post natal women in quite a small room on the ward and lots of bags just decreased the room and made you feel chlaustrophobic, plus i only had to unpack it all once i got home. This time i think i will pack the bare minimum needed to get through 1 day and leave another bag at home for DH to bring in if we have to stay longer.
