As for me, I have had this really strange feeling for the last few days maybe a week now. When I stand up, occasionally it feels like a really heavy feeling kind of near my bladder abit like pressure. It's hard to explain, but it's my first pregnancy and I'm only 14 weeks today so not sure what it could be. It's not painful, maybe more uncomfortable in a kind of 'I'm not used to it way'.

    Any ideas? :o

That'll be your uterus (plus baby) ;)

I am at the hospital weekly

Today my baby has been really active all day long which has been lovely as I usually only really feel movement in the evening. Been really hungry all day long too.

:rotfl: Thanks LannieDuck! It's so odd and I keep getting told I shouldn't be feeling anything whatsoever (no stretching etc) at the moment, thought I was going mad! :D

    Hi ladies,

I'm 14+6 today, feel like the last few weeks have started to pick up speed (finally!).

Could someone lovely add me to the list, EDD 2nd April? I'm on my phone so don't want to ruin it!

Starting to get a little bump now, but just stood up on the tube for 8 stops without anyone even looking twice to offer a seat so I think it's still safely in the too many pies zone rather than baby on board!

I've completely lost interest in work now, I think it's made harder by the fact that I know I won't be going back there after mat leave. Counting down the weeks till our 20 weeks scan. Starting to think of all the things that could go wrong...I'm such a worrier.

I had this too faith and now its got stronger at 19 weeks, its almost hurts. I'm trying to tense my pelvic floor and stomach muscles when I stand up (I can just hear the giggles of me and stomach muscles in the same sentence :rotfl:)

We're off to Butlins next week, just me and DS with Mum, Dad so my 20 week scan is going to be a week late. I've still got all my fingers crossed for a girl :p

I've convinced that we are having a girl yet last night I had such a vivid dream about giving birth to little boy! He was very cute! Me and hubby are set on a name for a boy but we were arguing about it so much in the dream, can't remember how it ended though!

We went to a baby event at our local mothercare last night. It was really good, bit of a sales pitch but nothing pushy and to be honest I learnt a lot of stuff. Even just things like how to put a car seat in was really helpful! Everything in store was 10% off, we got drinks and biscuits and we got a goody bag with lots of freebies in, including some cute little baby hats! If you get chance to go to one then do it!

MW appointment this afternoon :-D although... I don't feel as pregnant recently, I'm trying to convince myself that its a good thing as I get the odd stretching feeling and heartburn but no sickness.

I'm hoping she will be trying to hear the heartbeat as reassurance!

15+5 today so slowly edging to the halfway point and...scarily (but exciting at the same time) bf and I have found a house to BUY! With the new help to buy phase two launching this week we will soon have the 5% deposit and a couple of banks have said we pass afford ability tests and credit footprints so very very exciting. One question; do you think we should mention then pregnancy? TL were you pregnant when you started purchasing your new home? I have been worried about how much they will say that affects afford ability...that said one said they would be able to offer us more than the price of the house we've found without including bf's DLA.

Nice thing is bf's parents know the couple selling it - the bloke is a bit of a tool; definitely not a fan of his but his wife seems OK and technically it is her assett to sell (belonged to her parents who have passed away) maybe need to try to cut him out a bit as he talks a lot of carp!

Nice plans for the nursery, it's smaller than our second room is now but is a nice size for baby plus the other rooms are bigger/spacious so bedroom size isn't as key and the master room is bigger so definitely space for baby at first in with us.

Trying not to get too excited but it would be lovely to get it and do a few fixer-up jobs before baby arrives!

Do you have a baby on board badge for the tube Laura? At this stage no-one wants to risk offending someone who looks a bit pregnant in case it's just podge! :p

That baby event sounds god Squirrel. Had a look on the site and the only easy to get to store had their event on Sunday so I missed it! Doh! :o

Very exciting stuff about buying a house, Lush! Hope it goes well. :)

I've popped out a bit more this morning, explains why I woke up feeling quite uncomfortable, baby boy's been making room in there for himself! :p Wearing an orange dress today (a pre-pregnancy one which may be on it's last wear before being put away for being too tight!) and OH informed me that I look like a pumpkin! Shame it's not halloween yet!

    Morning all,

Just back from my 16 week checkup, heartbeat was strong but hard to pin down as bean was moving all round the place!
Apart from that bit of a waste of time tbh, a quick blood pressure check and urine dip and I was out!

Lush sounds promising with the house. Not sure about the mortgage though, it's probably something they'd want to know about as it will effect your affordability whilst on mat leave.
Hope you hear the heartbeat at your appointment.

Birdie I've missed my local one too. Maybe it's something they do twice/three times per year?
 Mini me due March 2014
  • I think we're in a bit of a funny position as bf gets a £12'000 APA (Lottery grant) so we get probably around the same as my wages, if not more (over £1100) again each month butt as it's not taxable and not technically an income the banks can't include that in considerations. I think our bank has actually said however that they didn't include bf's DLA in the mortgage calculation but did when looking at the affordability of repayments so fingers crossed for the meeting on Saturday!

Why is it that the morning before ay of my appointments is when I feel the least pregnant?!

Need to remember to do my 'sample' and take it with me...oh the joys of midwife appointments. Hope the new one is better at taking blood though!
