Had mine yesterday. The jab itself was fine, but my arm ached for a while afterwards.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Time is going way too fast!
Nothing much to update here, feeling more movement & getting bigger but feeling good :)
    Hope everyone is ok x
First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/14 :D
  • Well the mw had a student in with her yesterday, we arrived early by about 15minutes and were only seen 45minutes after our appointment time! The woman before me left slightly later than she should of but then after she went we had another 30minute wait :/

All bloods good, no protein in my sample and we heard the heartbeat :-) baby seem very low to me but the pros haven't said anything about any concerns yet - mum, bf and friends think that may be why I'm not showing much yet but I have no idea about that.

Bf and his mum had a long chat whilst I was at work yesterday and she has now put him off buying a house:'( sad times as I would love nothing more than to have our own home to bring a family in to but I understand and whilst our little council bungalow is small we can suck it up and get on with it for a while here. It's a sweet little house but doesn't have much space. More gutted about not having a proper oven than anything else to be honest!

Ordering my brothers birthday and Christmas presents today (December birthday) he's getting a couple of DVD sets he's asked for. Nice to get my mind off being frustrated/tired haha. Boots Christmas points event too so may sneak in and buy a few bits hehe

Was told no gaviscon for heartburn now as its not due to too much acid its due to he neck of the stomach relaxing further (thanks hormones!) And was told to just graze all day instead!

My baby was sitting really low for my 16w appointment too Lush, she had to search around for ages before finding him! I wonder if you're having a boy too as don't they say it's the boys who sit low? :) Starting to fill out more now though, I seem to have truly popped out this week! (22w) :)

Shame your BF has been talked out of buying a house. Was it just that your Mum thought it was the wrong purchase, or is she against you buying in general right now?

Thanks for the reminders about the flu jab, need to get booked in for mine!

  • I completely forgot to mention the flu jab at my appointment yesterday - doh! will need to call the surgery and ask.

It was his mum Birdie; I understand where she's coming from and it would allow us to build up a much larger deposit but...I really want my own home! Bah. I suppose we're young (23 & 27) so there's plenty of time. The parents (mine and his) just want us to 'enjoy having a bit of money' although not sure how seeing as we have more than the our siblings but we're not as time rich in terms of being able to go on foreign holidays (I've been on a short break to Munich and 2 trips to Disneyland Paris, and my trip back in August to Belgium to watch bf in the Europeans and that's my extent of travel! - bf has been on a few with family and one lads holiday in the past) due to my limited holiday at work and bf working 20hrs plus training so much. He gets the last two weeks of August 'off' each year - the most expensive and busy two weeks of the holiday season *rolls eyes*
Ah well! Onwards and forwards with it all I suppose. I guess everything will come together in good time. Just not sure how to best work the space we do have now in terms of being able to have our own spaces once baby is here.
We're still going to seethe mortgage advisor on Saturday and see what they say though as they outlook for us mortgage wise can only get better currently :)

I feel very 'full' today but that usually goes by midday so I think my body is confused. Will be happy in either team but I think a pink one would be divine - if only because everyone else in the family (bar our 11month old niece) is a boy/had a boy first! I'd like to buck the trend :P

twigpig I'm the same, all I want is crisps! Need to get back into better habits. I went off yoghurt's and fruit when I was really sickly.

If anyone was after any maternity wear, have a look at the grabbit board for the H&M codes (I used the 25% off 1 item and £5 off to order some maternity stuff that's in the sale). Got myself a lovely denim dress for £12 (including delivery) instead of the £30 full price!

OH had a big grin on his face after hearing the heartbeat on the doppler last night. :D

Sorry, misread who's Mum it was Lush! All the same, parents shouldn't really get too involved in their grown-up kids' lives, you're old enough to make your own decision so follow your hearts. :) Also, if you struggle for time to get away now and 'enjoy your money', how do they expect this to get any better once you've got a baby to look after?!

On the subject of pee pots, I'm so glad I don't have to reuse mine! I've even managed to get a little collection, was sorting out some bags over the weekend and kept finding them! OH was getting worried! :p

Thanks for the H&M tip sjlou, will have a look. :)

I forgot to take some pee to my appointment yday. I think I saw a lot of pots on the counter at the hospital when I went for my scan so we try to grab a few then for later appointments.
Actually that's a good point... do you take a sample to your 20 week scan?
