lovely to see you over here McRach, have you had your scan?
random niggly pains seem to be about par for the course. i can't stand up too quickly in the morning off the toilet otherwise i get a wave of pain from my thighs to my belly button
forgot to say before...over the weekend i was feeling really uncomfortable, like when you eat far too much and lots of heartburn. and today i've felt kicks right up under my ribs. clearly little miss has decided to make some room for herself and doesn't care about squishing organs to do it lol
:rotfl:I haaaave, we went for the dating scan last Wednesday... the most surreal experience seeing *it* !
I was a little paranoid as i've had no sickness so had myself convinced i'd made it all up and there would be nothing on the scan but lo and behold..... boyfriend was laughing because of how wriggly it was.
I find that when i relax the niggles arn't as much so going to invest in a hot water bottle later and see if that helps too:A10.12.11:A02.02.13:A

Birdie & TL you are right I can't relax until I've had that scan.
Me and DH both said before we'd assumed we rush out & buy stuff after the 12 week one but we've been too scared. But DH has seen a toy in a shop he likes and I almost feel like telling him to get it as I'm sick of worrying!
TL I'm sorry about your job but at least you hadn't planned on going back and I'm assuming by the time anything happens you'll be nearing maternity leave anyway and even if there's a gap you'll get maternity allowance which isn't much different, but can totally see what you mean about really not caring anymore!
Just popped to the shop with DH felt like I was about to get too hot and a bit fainty so had to choose my cakes & yogurts sharpish and get out of there!0 -
Thanks sjlou for adding me - I'm in as twinpig though - thankfully, I'm not expecting twins :rotfl: Is anyone having twins here?
Nice to see a few ladies joining behind me - really reminds me that the days and weeks are passing. It seemed like only 2 minutes ago that I joined the LT12 week thread.
Had a consultant appointment today at the hospital (as had high blood pressure from 34 weeks last pregnancy) and I will have the choice to elect for a section seeing as I had one the first time. I don't have to make a decision yet, but nice to know that I have some say over it. I'm probably about 90/10 in favour of a section but can decide once I'm a bit closer and know what my blood pressure is doing. For now, I have a prescription for aspirin every day which should help. It took me about 9 months after the birth to get it back under control again so I'm really hoping it stays normal (although it probably won't, lol).
Hope you're all having a good day.TTC #3..........0 -
lol sorry twigpig! all adjusted
part of me wishes there were twins in there, but I know in reality that it could then be a difficult pg/birth etc!
That was one of the first things my nan asked me when I told her I was pg! Don't know why, its not like they run in the family.Mini me due March 2014

Sorry about the job situation Teamlowe but sounds like the timing has been great anyway...
Saw the midwife at GP surgery today for the first time, we listened to heart beat, not heard it before and she said she could hear him moving a lot, although I can't feel anything!
She said I should I should see her at 25, 28, 31, 34, 36, 38, 40 and 41 weeks, seems a bit excessive!0 -
Sorry about your friend claire, it's the most awful thing to go through, as we sadly know.....
Welcome McRach!0 -
Thanks Birdie for redirecting me so I could find you all again after the old thread was closed. I'll have a read back and post when I get a chance.
Hope all your bumps are doing ok

Sorry to hear about the job situation TeamLowe
Also sorry to hear about your friend Claire, at least she has some support at this difficult time
Hi McRach, great to see you here! Glad your scan well, it's so surreal seeing it for the first time isn't it?
Thanks for adding me to the list sjlou
My SIL swore that she wouldn't put loads of 'mummy' things on FB when she got pregnant Birdie but that went out the window pretty quick. Now I am constantly seeing those images which everyone posts 'Before I was a mummy....blah blah blah'. Sounds awful but I find those the worst as they haven't even come up with it themselves. I haven't even mentioned it on FB and have no intention too but do worry It will all change when LO arrives
As for me, I have had this really strange feeling for the last few days maybe a week now. When I stand up, occasionally it feels like a really heavy feeling kind of near my bladder abit like pressure. It's hard to explain, but it's my first pregnancy and I'm only 14 weeks today so not sure what it could be. It's not painful, maybe more uncomfortable in a kind of 'I'm not used to it way'.
Any ideas?0 -
Hi everyone,
Can't believe it has taken me so long to suss that there was a new thread - I thought it had been bizarrely quiet!
There are some lovely bumps on here, mines getting bigger by the day - finally found a maternity coat which is good as the one jacket which still did up was very tight yesterday and it's supposed to get cold by the end of the work.
Can my EDD be added to the list please, 25th Feb.
I'm 20 weeks today - was supposed to be having my scan today but frustratingly DH came down with an awful sickness bug last night and I wasn't feeling good this morning so we decided it would be a very bad idea to go and visit a hospital full of people. Fortunately they were pretty good about it and I've rebooked for next week.
Still really disappointed though, I was really looking forward to seeing the bump today and hopefully finding out which team we're on - at the moment bump is a 'he' if it's annoying me etc and a 'she' when it's fluttering nicely
Birdie, I too am determined not to inundate facebook with baby related-ness. I've not put scan photos on or any big announcement as it just seems wrong at the moment.0 -
Birdie in another who won't post all over Facebook. I did put it on there but only because I hated the sneaky ones more than the scan photos when we were struggling. You'll be fine
Claire sorry to hear about your friend. I started to feel much more relaxed once I felt movement.
Tl sorry about job
1 week until anomaly scan
