Morning everyone
Well the winter woolies definitely need to come out this morning! Now to locate little ones gloves, when you have a bit of sun, things like this, get relegated to who knows where, lol. Intend to spend nothing today, have loads of left overs, so I have quite a choice today for lunch at work
.
My main thing today, is to explain like I do every year, why i'm not paying silly money, for the privilege of sitting next to people, the majority I cannot stand, eating turkey in decemberYes, the office christmas party-also known as the few hours where everyone is fake-until they've had one too many-then they really say what they think
Have a good day everyone-Keep up the good work :T:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Morning all expected to see rain but it doesn't look too bad outside. I have caught a cold so feeling v sorry for myself. Wondering if it's cheaper to pay for flu vaccine than painkillers hankies & vitamin c tablets...the years I've had the jag when pregnant not a single sniffle.
Anyhoo yesterday was SFD 5 and work to lunch 4/7. Resisted Boots points event only really need bits & bobs for Christmas in there no where near £50. And lovely kitly skirt thing right at the front of Next.
Plan for SFD today & maybe even a hat trick tomorrow.
nsk I'll see your Tupperware and raise you a flask of soup that's what the poor people on my train get battered with of a morning. No heating facilities in our swanky office all to try to force you to use the overpriced under quality canteen!
Have a lovely Friday everyone.

Morning All..... how are we this fine bright morning!:j:j:j.. Jumping jacks in place of my actually energy - of which I have none. Since my new job starteth on Monday no one knows what I am doing, and since I don't have to answer to the old line manager I changed my shifts today and leave at 1500....
I have a bit of food to get today.. by which I mean supplies for what will be a horribly tiring weekend.. Abundant I am ok with junk being in the house.. I need to stock pile instead of avoid because once the desire for crisps takes hold there is no ignoring it.. I'd rather have them in than not if that makes sense. Yes the dark chocolate rule is one a colleague shared the other day as well.. except her 50-70g bars are £3.75 from Hotel Chocolat.... Andrar well done on colleague conversion.. I am working on it...
Superdopsa I cut my own hair just last night.. it's very long (passed bra line ) with lots of layers which means any price anywhere starts at £25-£35 minimum and the local student college is so awkward to get too.. I took at least 1-2 inches off, layered it up a little, took an inch off my fringe.. chopped into it all so it doesn't look like a rigid straight line and bobs your bncle... I hate hairdressers. I am very particular about my hair and have been known to yank my hair out of their hands if I feel they are about to take too much off.... I am the model customer I am.... NOT!
Fmess you are right... prescription purchasing = SFD.. also I was about to visit Derbyshire (my cousin is in Buxton I think.. perhaps I am just making that up..) but work calleth and I would rather have the money....:rotfl:
Sandycheeks I think you have made your £100 and then some. That is an EPIC win!!!.. How amazing! What are you going to do with it though...?..I have never won anything but seeing this and those stories in the Daily Snail where a woman won everything in her house (including her mop) makes me think there is something in the obsessive competition entering... hmmmmm bet I win a hog roast and a case of wine...:rotfl:
By the way Blue Jasmine left me feeling blue. A very raw portrayal of a woman on the brink of a massive break down.. so don't go visiting the cinema if you are in anyway upset or depressed that day... but very well acted I must say.. Cate Blanchett is amazing...
So work this weekend starts so early there are no trains early enough for me... I am going to take the bike into work on Sunday (been AGES since I came into London on it ).. and will incur petroleum charges but I believe I will get these back next month.. and I think it's worth more than I actually spend if that makes sense...
Right I need a few more items of clothing and need to get rid of some old ones... I wonder if a charity shop would allow a like for like swap...? There is a store in my town that is selling end of line factory bits and bobs at £5 each - no those tatty stores with dresses made of polyester etc.. some of the items I bought at this store while at Uni are stil going strong... Hmmmm need to decipher what it is that I need first...
Witterings.... sorry....
I am off to research.....(my favourite word)

:rotfl::rotfl: I have the most vivid dreams just now (due to being pregnant) and last night we were all at your house and that's not how you looked :rotfl::rotfl:. It was quite funny, no-one knew how to address each other due to the MSE names, you served dumpster dived food and a vegetable peel smoothie. But your house was stunning, really quirky and massive. My old school mates and my parents turned up later too. The night before I was on a binge drinking night out with my work mates :rotfl:
Anyway, it was 5C this morning and I should have worn gloves cycling. Today won't be a SFD as I will nip into LIDL at lunch and get some fruit and rolls etc for tomorrow. Tomorrow we'll need to get a birthday gift for a friends child (hope OH pays), and I might get some cheap stripy socks to make sock monkeys and zebras for our friend's kids christmas, rather than buying them all tad. Sunday should be an SFD. Also changed my Sainburys order to saturday so I don't need to shop extra, the delivery is cheaper and I save a SFD next week.
Tonight's tea will be chicken in hoisin sauce, as well as sticky chinese wings and sesame prawn toast for starters, all HM. Mmhhhh....can't wait
Oh and our car seems fine again, might just leave it till it needs to go for a service and MOT next month anyway.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

I have often wondered what we would all call each other and am always trying to imagine what you all look like. The use of :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:when talking about how I looked makes me wonder what you think I look like or how I appeared...
Seriously vivid dreams.... anyone with other MSE/Challenge Contender related dreams must share them... if they are clean...:)
Quirky and massive house sounds good... vegetable peeol smoothies might be ok... but I shan't serve my chickadees dumperster food I promise....
There is a house back home in Ireland I want... it's only £235,000..... but is on 4 acres / need to be knocked down and re-done as it's so old it has no electricity or plumbing but would be the ideal venue for an MSE get to gether.. obviously I intend to be rich enough to pay for all the flights...:rotfl:
Ahhhh dreams eh...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Hello hello OAers!
I post with better news and higher spirits. Totals first
SFDs - 7/20 including today. I begin 4 nights tonight so I shall be racking them up I hope!
Fuel - £101.51/£120 Popped another tenner in mine today as the light came on. Hoping the last twenty(ish) will see us through, we have just under half a tank each.
Food - £95.35/£140. Did a L1dl shop yesterday and was so pleased with myself as I had it costing £30.18 on my calculator and it was £30.05. Boom! I always like to over estimate my bananas to give me a cushion. Noticed that they've started selling flowers cheaply. I miss having the odd bunch in the house. Alas £3 is better spent elsewhere at the moment.
I completed my first resolution centre thing in eB.ay for a dodge non paying bidder. And thankfully they've taken off those selling fees on the fees due out next week. Phew. I'd heard about having to pay them and then wait 6 weeks for a refund. So that's £11 kept in my account.
Been having lots of money discussions with DH these last few days. But I think I'll ramble on about that in my DFW diary. I'm still not 100% convinced what he actually means tbh. But the long and short of it is that from next month there will be a household alcohol budget of £30 and I will no longer be seeing my fabulous hairdresser anymore, I'll have to go to Salon NSK. I rarely drink these days, but DH thinks it's abnormal of me and doesn't like that he has to spend his £30 pw on alcohol if he wants it as apparently £30 isn't enough a week to socialise on and normal people socialise in the pub. Sigh. But then I guess it's his thing. My thing is hanging from poles and being beasted in the gym by my PT which isn't cheap. I digress.
Re having sweets crisps etc in the house. I don't. I'm like abundant and others in that if I know it's there I eat it! My treat is dark choc, two squares of when wanted. But then I get to eat 2000cals a day (and I only weight 56kgs/8stone 11) so I'm now not going without. Strength training is great!
Still not put the heating on but the temp is plummeting these last few days. It was 22, it's now only 18. I'm a cold body and like 22degs. Been wrapped up in several layers but still cold. Living in my hoody. I've even got the fleecey PJs out. Anyway, I am retiring to bed for my pre nights nap. A little earlier than usual but it's chilly and I wanna snuggle under the duvet! Haha.

Please please for the love of my sanity either inbox me how you do it or post it up here. A good old list ( you don't need to give away all your secrets), a guide, how-to, manual, whatever you want to call it... I want to win stuff!!! :T:T:T:T:T“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
