Over the few days where car crisis etc... happened lost track of when had spent and when hadn't so am not sure of NSDs so rather than give up for the month (VERY DANGEROUS!!!) am trying to keep any spends to an ABSOLUTE minimum to get thorough to the end of the month.
Off to try and catch up on some of the last 10 days posts - hope everyone is doing better than I am!!!!

Re the challenge and NSDs, how about you start afresh from now and as it's a third into the month aim for say 13 SFDs or less? Just a thoughtDebt at LBM June 2013- £31,300

Darn, and I was so sure that today would be a NSD! Got settled in at home and then received a call informing me that my nan had no food and could I please come and bring her some. Have to do the same again tomorrow (which was also going to be a NSD) because there are a few things I didn't realise she needed and they can't wait until my shopping day on Sunday. Oh well, reminding myself that this is my first month on this challenge and I might still be able to claw it back...Novuna personal finance 0% 4-year £518/£1866Credit card debt free! Wow, so much to catch up on!
I've been having dreams/nightmares about people ruining my SFDs. I think this is my OHs fault as he always asks me to pick up unnecessary stuff on the way home from work.
I love the idea of cutting your own hair. I've done my fringe before but never dared try the whole thing! I also though NSK would have very short dark hair! I am intrigued now!
Well done beckyboo on the car decision! That's a huge saving and I'm sure it'll be a joy buying one when you're debt free
I'm hoping for a SFD today, although won't count my chickens just yet. I did fail the lunch challenge todaymainly because I took a boring lunch and it was chip day in the dinner hall. On the plus side, I didn't spend anything as the lunch ladies like me so let me pay whenever I next remember to bring my purse in
I'll have to time it for a spending day
Will do my totals later when my SFD is confirmed/I've put my PJs onLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Well if I understand the rules right I had a SFD as I only bought fuel? Filled the tank as have to go to Exeter for work on Monday. So that wipes out fuel budget but should get expenses back!Make £10 a day Jan £0/£3100

Hi all
Spend day today of a whole *drum roll please* 34p. Shame to waste a SFD on such a trivial amount but my shopping today was paid for with my N3ctar points
So still at 9 SFD's
I haven't had a haircut in over a yearI used to cut my hair when I was at school, but I have completely lost my nerve with age. I have no idea how I managed to cut it straight- and now would be so worried if I botched it. My hair is super long as well!
beckyboo - Must have been hard parting with your beetle! I'm guessing you became pretty good with fixing up some of the mechanics after a while? I Love Vws!!
I'm off out for a spend free birthday party! Hooray! My friend is 5 months pregnant so is having a get together at hers and providing food and fizzy pop. I'm driving as well, so no need to contribute any alcohol (not that she would drink it!). Already had some presents aside from earlier in the year where I had picked up bargains in the sales and kept them in my present stash for birthdays and such. So no spends on pressies either!
Have a great weekend everyone!:coffee:

Glad it was a spend day anyway as OH wanted to go and get beers for him and pizza, his idea of relieving me from my cooking duties. Went to Tesco and also got some stripey socks for monkey. Got left to foot the bill but then he'll pay for the present tomorrow.
Re hair cuts. I also cut my son's. Hes only 2.5 so wont mind imperfection, but i think i do quite a good short sides and back with floppy topDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
not really keen to post tonight as today has been a spend day of massive proportions... total spent is £70.
I spent £20 on four tops which are for my holiday in November as I am a cold person and can't manage four days in t-shirts. (I am going to disneyland paris with my mum, auntie and cousin and they have bought us disney t-shirts to wear). I know that this is no excuse but I have been looking for them for a while now.
:undecided
£15 new look voucher for my cousin's xmas. I don't know when I will next be in new look (if I avoid it, then I can't spend money there) so thought if I buy it now then I won't have an excuse later. So, there was a good reason behind it.
We then went and did our weekly shop this evening (I want to get spend free days so I decided to do it all in one day).
£35 sounds like a lot (and it probably is) but i needed more flour and sugar ad drinking chocolate for making biscuits. We also got enough food for the week. We did get a couple of deals... including that brilliant one in morrisons which is two big tins of sweets for £7.
This should tide us over for a few months which means we won't have to buy sweets for ages. Which will save us money in the long run and I am here for the long run.
I did try and stick to deals so we got 500g of sweet and sour sauce for 79p (costs £1 in poundland) and I did get some essentials in the beauty department but these were essential at the moment (won't be so essential in about a week if you get my drift).
Will update my signature tonight so you can all "tsk tsk" at my disasterous day. I am back on track though, just a wee wobble.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91
