Quick check in, well, check in for yesterday actually.
No spend day, lunch to work day and AFD.
Had a mental day at work yesterday, eleven hour day and i barely got to leave my desk. Tired was not the word.
Spend day on the cards today, I have to pay for parking and I don't know anywhere to park for free where I am going, so as it's a spend day, I'm buying some new socks whilst I'm there.
No heating on here, but then, I'm in a first floor flat with house/flat on each side so I think I benefit from when my neighbours put their heating on.Feb NST #4

Check in for yesterday- SFD and lunch to work. Signature updated. Today won't be SFD as I need veg so will try to get as much as possible for the week ahead.
I hope Kat gets her overtime, she is such an inspiration to all of us and MUST be given that work so she reaches her DFD. Good luck. XMFIT -T5 #420 -
Morning.
Ive managed 9 SFDs! Nearly half way there!
However I have a problem, due to my knee injury in the summer I have been wearing one of two pairs of skechers shape ups, yesterday I put my winter boots on for the school run and my knee was in agony. They are those flat footed boots so no support for my feet at all. I have found a pair of shape up boots but means spending £55.
Do I either put up with cold feet until the end of the month or painful knee which would have an impact on work or should I just get them?
I giess i could just wear pop socks.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
Hi everyone
I did spend yesterday, i'm ashamed to say on a packet of wine gums and a pack of cherry bakewell tarts
I had a stressful day at work and needed a pick me up. I did have a voucher that bought the total down by 50p sp paid £1.99 for both.
Made a spicy mince meat wrap from the left overs of yesterdays dinner, so intend to have a nsd today. My heating is on.It comes on an hour before I wake up as the house takes a long time to heat and then goes off after an hour.In the evenings though it's whenever needed. I'm always cold, everyone else not so, but my eldest son, seems to think hot water is free  Regardless of whether it's hot or not, he puts the hot water on to ensure it's boiling for the duration of his bath-sometimes forgetting to switch it off  I've had words with him, lol.
Hope everyone has a good day today and keep up the good work :T:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
morning all, realised it will not be a sfd as my friend had a spare ticket to a gig tonight so im going. ticket was free and she is driving but i will prob buy the drinks (although probably both on soft drinks!)
i am not doing very well with sfdalthough thry have generally been under £1.50 which is much less than i would usually spend. food shopping tomorrow so wont be sfd but will try for sat and sun as dont think i need anything!
mrs gsr i would either have cold feet or just buy them. wouldnt risk your knees. although its meant to rain a lot so probably justified in buying them so you dont get wet feet! could you try and earn the money for them from ebay etc?:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Good Morning all...
SFD ruined by the following..- Snickers bar
- 2 cheap cans of energy fizz
- Pain au Chocolat
- Croissant
- Bag of cheap crisps..
Anyway.. poor Fyggy needs a cuddle... but yes we are all in a very good position to be grateful for what we have. This is half the reason I want to down-size everything I have and minimalise my life. Materialism is taking over and I am missing something by having too much - does that make sense..? I can't wait to not be owned by things.
Abundant - ever the wiseman. Thank you for clocking in and helping with that analogy. You are right. That snickers (not yet consumed) in the grand scheme of excuses I have will accumulate to more issues (fat) and more despair... I might give him away as my vegan within is screaming in horror...
I would also like to settle on my sofa with a hot water bottle, a fleece lined onesie, a furry hot-water bottle (Duchess Dorothy), a cup of dandelion coffee.. a blanket (just to make sure I really don't freeze).... my laptop and the TV remote "just in case"... BLISS!... I like the winter.. I must admit I find it magical.. although ask me again in the deepest darkest January when Christmas and NYE is over and it's just freezing cold weather and slush and see whether I am stll enamoured by it all...
May I just add I wore a cardigan, a hoody, a fleese and a jacket today with a scarf, boots (free from my Granny - SEXY!) and hood up - still cold. Think I need thinner layers and more of them... but I don't have any......hmmmmmmm Primark...?
I have two book ready to be ISBN checked on Amazon.. that will score me £9 if they are accepted which makes me think one won't cause of dog-earing...
OT shifts - 5 applied for / 2 believed gained although they might be cancelled very soon as they don't need me... Stoplurking I plan a tantrum of epic proportions if i don't get theis OT...:rotfl:
Right...rucksack research...:p
Onwards and Upwards...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -

I am shocked , no only joking. Glad we're all just human and need a treat sometimes
Today should be SFD number 6. Came down this morning and the living room was 14C so had the heating on for an hour and stuck it back on timer for mornings (1h, 19C) and evenings (3hrs, 19C). But it's only on in the living room, dining room, DS room, bathroom (both on low) and kitchen. We hardly ever use the other radiators (bedrooms, hall).
OH is playing football tonight so I'll be doing some more kitchen painting and then make chinese for tea.
Started researching DS main christmas present. He'll get a ride on pedal tractor. Found one with a trailer for £44 in Tesco direct, got a 5 off voucher, and could get 2% cash back. Will see if I find a better offer or deal somewhere else though. I know it's early but I better get that ordered soon though (paid from christmas budget) as his balance bike last year took ages and went to the wrong Tesco etc.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
