    Evening everybody.

Another spend free day for me... that's 5 out of 20 so far this month.
    :D

Bringing lunch to work was another tick so that's 5 out of 13.
    :D

Food budget hasn't changed although we do need butter at some point. Going to try and stretch it out until Friday. Beauty budget is still at 0 but that's only because I am still working my way through the stockpile.

On a oh-oh note... I am now going out for my lunch on Friday. I get it for free because I drive us there.
On the positive note, I am going to change about £15 of smush whilst I am there so that's going into the "holiday pot".
    :)

Hope everyone else is having a productive October.
    Hugs.

  • Very late check in for Tuesday! Can't sleep lol. Another SFD and took lunch into work. Now got 2 lots of visitors this weekend so it will be interesting to see if food budget holds up! X

  • Morning Chickadees...

What a glorious morning. I woke up feeling somewhat normal but still my body wanted to sleep until noon. I must say - the best present to myself is waking up at 0500 then realising I can sleep in - is it weird that I do it sometimes at the weekend...?:)

So I am off to a very interesting lecture today. And I actually mean it as well. It is a 0930-1200 jobby so I am looking forward to it immensly... did I mention it gets me out of the office and is actually organised by my office...:):):)

Anyone know when the next eBay free listing weekend is? I know they send messages when it's due but I am wondering how else I find out - the actual website isn't very forthcoming..

So I have am going to aim for the following this weekend... yes I know it's early but if I don't write this down and make a claim I will make excuses and I have already wasted one weekend this month.. although I am not listing them unless it's free.

(and panic if I have to go out to a meeting where everyone buys lunch)... and wonder whether I will ever feel comfortable not bringing my own food and just buying it - the answer is no!

My whole office went for lunch yesterday, including people that I know can't afford it - I stayed back with my salad! Feels weird at first but really what did I miss out on? We all chat in the office anyway.

So, yesterday - I got some vouchers for "free" Total 0% greek yoghurt, but then when I got to Sainsbugs it was £1.09 rather than 98p. I bought 4 at a cost of 44p but this is cheaper than the 55p I usually spend on 500ml value T3sco natural yoghurt. PLEASE can I "pretend" they were YS?! If they'd have been YS'd down to 11p each I would have still bought them...pleeeeease? Means I get another SFD if so!

    My update

NSD: 6/20 (if I can get away with yesterday....and including today)
Foodbank: £3 to Trussell Trust DONE
    Packed lunches: 5/16 (including today)
Extra money: £70/£100 (DSs clothes and toys being sold)
Beauty products: £0/£10 (shouldn't need anything)

Brought in my lunch today - A Girl Called Jack's tomato and haricot soup - yum!

    Have good days all xx

I was wondering that. Apparently the last one was at the end of September (the only one?), so was wondering if they only do one a month now?? On Thursday when OH is at football I will look out some things too. A vintage style dress I bought for a fiver on ebay (not worn yet and now I'm preggo it doesn't fit anyway), a russian 70's stacking toy, rocket dog ballerinas, a 70's light meter and see what else I can find. Will try to do free postage as most things should be quite light and small to send cheaply.

Today should be a SFD. Had the roast chicken left overs from Monday with pasta and pesto etc for tea yesterday. Not sure what to have today.

Will do my meticulously planned online Sainsbury's shop today (delivery and payment on Tues) to get the max on products for the £60 I need to spend to get £15 off (plus £5.05 cash back) and also signed up for Nectar points now.

My free Graze box came today (plus £1.51 cashback) so need to cancel my account now.

    Hi all

I'm back from my Italy and had a fantastic time. I did go over my budget :o but that was because of an expensive meal with the group I was with and a trip to Venice (so worth it:)). I've come back relaxed with a strong commitment to put money aside to enjoy a bit more travelling:).

    Budget (Oct)

    Food..............£73.78/£200
    Diesel.............£80.66/£200
    Holiday...........£308.78/£250
    Odds..............£49.87/£120
    Alcohol days... 5/25
    SFD................5/20
    TLTW.............2/22

I also need to clean the house and see what food I have left in the cupboards as I'm pretty sure OH has been living on takeaways:)

  • Hey all! Had a few unplanned spend days :( DH has just over 24 hours until the final exam and he revises best with sweets, right now for the sake of a few packets of Haribo I'm not willing to risk his degree! lol.

Even so I've bagged a few more switched food shopping to Monday from Tuesday as I was accompanying a friend on a birthday trip and had to fork out for lunch anyway. Now on SFD 5 :) (hopefully 6 today)
