SFD 3/20 - SFD today
Lunches to work 3/17
Food bank 3/£3
Groceries 64.16/£130
Make £100 /£87 -
Petrol 0/60
Misc spending £120.84
Ok so 2 days that were not SFD - not doing so well on this now!Sunday I went out for the day with my friend and we went shopping. This was planned and I came under what I budgeted for but I did eat lunch out & in total I spent £36.67
Yesterday was a SD - but was expecting it. I had my hair cut and coloured £70 - it's a lot but budgeted for and I only have it done every 3 months. Still alot when I write it down. I also spent £1.51 in the supermarket on our groceries (mostly YS except for bananas (got £15 worth of wild smoked salmon for 75P! :j) but I also spent £12.66 for shopping for my dd. she is on a low income & we are about to go away for the next week & a bit and I wanted to make sure she had enough food & bits to last her until she gets paid again.
Today will be a SFD as I only need to get £10 petrol and from the rules this doesn't count? I am also going away for work for 2 day. I will have to get tube travel and will go out for dinner but will get these expenses back next week. So as it's not my money I'm spending I think that counts? Weds will be the same so SFD & Thurs travelling back and packing for holiday :j
good luck with the challenge over the next week and a bit everyone xDF as at 30/12/16

Well I've well and truly fallen off the sfd wagon last week, pure laziness during my first week in flat and at new workplace.
Now I know the craic I'm good to go for the rest of the month, food in for lunches and I'll work on a meal plan tonight which should hopefully help out my weight loss too.
Bit narked about my gym membership increasing by a tenner a month because of me moving but its forcing me to use it almost everyday now till I can ditch it in march.
First sfd yesterday yay! I'm back on it like a car bonnet0 -
Well I'm rather pleased with my progress.
SFD 6/20 hoping for another today
Shopping- my original shopping budget was £150, I spent £60 in the supermarket then withdrew an extra £50 for top ups, so I was £40 under budget. So far we have gone over that and spent £128 so still under budget but we have 3 weeks till payday and £22 to spend, hope we can do it!
Using up toiletries- used an old hair dye the other day so have gone auburn for Autumn! Running down all shower gels and shampoos.
I'm very proud that all money has been allocated for the month but it is really really tough! I've worked out I will have about £100 left in my account by payday which is my aim.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -

Hello,
Gosh this thread moves fast. Only been gone 3 days and got 4 pages to read.
Just a quick check in, will post and read later on in more detail. Was away up north all weekend, not sure how bad the car is and had to spend money on groceries to pay back the hospitality offered, but will summarise more later.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Hi all, enjoying reading all your progress. I get the daily email of all posts and start the day by finding out how you are all getting on. Gets my day started on a good note.
I am pleased to report 4 NSD’s in a row.
Having a spendy day today as my fridge is literally bare apart from a bit of butter and some mustard, I don’t fancy making a meal out of thatSpent £4.50 on food on the way into work and £2.50 on iron tablets. Going to head to the supermarket for a big shop stock up tonight with a list! Going to try and buy healthy stuff and detox. Have already managed to stay off alcohol all of October so far, but caffeine is going to be the hard one. Any tips for staying off this evil stuff?

Hello everyone
My update:
NSD: 5/20 (including today)
Foodbank: £3 to Trussell Trust DONE
Packed lunches: 4/16 (including today)
Extra money: £70/£100 (DSs clothes and toys being sold)
Beauty products: £0/£10 (shouldn't need anything)
How is everyone today? I got in a bit of a grump with OH last night as I'd painstakingly planned out the meal plan yesterday to mean we didn't need to buy much, he then went to T3sco and spent £24 on not much. We have completely separate budgets so it doesn't affect me at all but it was still a bit annoying...ah well.
Sold a dress on Ebay for 99p yesterday, forgot to bring it to post so MUST do it tomorrow. Must remember to package it up so it can be sent as a small parcel as well.
Brought in all change from selling DSs old clothes and toys today to pay for the bookcase we bought at the weekend, still about £25 short but that's ok, it was worth doing.
Redeemed Shop and Scan voucher so have ordered mum's Christmas book. Need to wait for next lot to come in to order dad's so will get onto Swagbucks etc today to try and get another Amazon voucher sooner.
Brought lunch in - quinoa, feta and avocado salad, and made soup (A Girl Called Jack's tomato and haricot) this morning for OH's lunch ("Oh I'll just buy something" - NO YOU WON'T).

Hello,
here is my update.
SFD 4/20 (can still make it)
lunches 5/22 (every day that I was at work so far)
food 113/220 (don't have £107 left however, see below)
HH 143/122 petrol, extra food at friends
contingency 81.5/80
Because we didn't drive down to Aberdeen on Sunday to see other friends too as the car was playing up (not sure what it is or how expensive it will be , however I will have £300 put aside by next month that was meant for Nov MOT and servuce anyway) we felt obliged to buy the the groceries for dinner and that day for the friends we were staying with still (hence the contingency overspend). The HH went over because of cough syrup for DS (I counted it because it's money spend that has to come out of a budget as it wasn't planned) and two new DVDs for him in the sale (I know not necessary but the same Scooby-doo movie 10 times over does my head in). So I have only £99 left in my account for cat insurance, food and two kids birthdays :mad: and was about to give up and bail out of this challenge but that would be very cowardly. So I'll tighten the reigns now and will succeed. We went shopping in Nairn in a Sainsbury's (which I never do as it is across town here and expensive, but it was the only big shop) and I got a £15 off £60 off my first online order, so I will use that next week and do my weekly shop on their basics range as I think 15 off 60 is worth it.
EDIT: And I just found out I can get £5.05 cashback if I do my first order through topcashback and mysupermarket.
This weeks shopping was done yesterday. For tea we had a roast chicken with gravy, HM yorkshire puddings (why do people buy frozen they are so easy to make), and roast veg. For a change there is plenty of chicken left (we usually demolish a whole one between the two of us) and DS will have his today.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250
