    Good morning all

Sorry for my lack of check ins over the weekend, find it hard to post on my phone and as soon as I get the laptop out DS wants to play the CBeebies game!

    So, my update:

    NSD: 4/20 (including today)
Foodbank: £3 to Trussell Trust DONE
    Packed lunches: 3/16 (including today)
Extra money: £55/£100 (DSs clothes and toys being sold)
Beauty products: £0/£10 (shouldn't need anything)

So, didn't have any SFDs between Friday and Sunday but that's normal for me. Friday I took DS to a playgroup which was £2 for entry including drinks and snacks for both. Used train pass to get the train there and back. Had a friend round in the afternoon for a playdate so free. Got amazing YS bargains in Tesco late on which fed us for the whole weekend for £3.

Saturday I needed to buy DS some waterproof trousers, got them for £4.99 so not too much more than I'd wanted to pay in Pr1mark. Also stocked up on yoghurts and crisps in Heron foods (50p for 500ml of gorgeous greek yoghurt with honey).

Sunday we went to Ikea to buy an Expedit unit to store DS's Xmas presents in (he's not getting hundreds, it's just all BIG and we have no room for it! Paying for it with the money made from selling his old clothes and toys). Then we to a fun day at the local park, spent £1 on the bouncy castle, £1 on a coffee for me and a cake for DS and 50p on the hook a duck. Again not too bad.

Here is a lovely recipe from my friend's blog for Tarka Dal, had it for tea yesterday and DS wolfed it down.

Back to the grindstone today - hoping for a SFD.

    Hope everyone is well xx

Thanks rumbly, I looked at those but they all seemed to be very similar things (ie used to make a batter for pakora style things). Might reread them and see if anything takes my fancy x

lillian1977 I know exactly what you mean about the CBeebies app, my 2 nearly come to blows over it.

Forgot to update yesterday which I can't really count as SF as put the tickets on CB cc which gets paid in full each month. Show was amazing DH was sceptical but the look on the kids faces esp DD was worth it. £8 for popcorn  wasn't but that was his choice to get & pay for it I had some snacks already in my bag.

So still on 3 SFD as today was weekly shop, toy fund at nursery & I've just noticed the window cleaner lurking a few houses down.

I'm wishing that the exercise challenge from last month was still running as I've managed 4 in Oct so far.

  • Hello all! Back from my weekend in Edinburgh, whioch was lovely, to a whoel load of car troubles which was not!

I'd left the car in town, and when I arrived at it this morning (ready to drive home to change for work, have breakfast and pick up packed lunch) it would not start. Tried to push start, still no joy. So had to leave it where it was, change into my only remaining clean clothes form my weekend bag (so looking slightly odd!:rotfl:) and then had to buy breakfast, lunch and bus fare to the office

And I still have to sort the car out, and lord know how much that's going to cost!

On the upside, I did get an email that I won a £50 amaz0n voucher for a survey I did. Will arrive in time for some Christmas shopping :T

  • buy . . . lunch

Actually used this as an excuse to try out the new Itsu that's opened in town - might be a new addiction, it was yummy. They sell everythign off at half price for the last half hour they're open, so now trying to think for reasons I could be in town at 9.30pm in the future . . .:p

Went for my weekly coffee in Caffe Nero with husband but wehad vouchers so they were free!

Did a top up shop in Sainsburys and took full advantage ofthe double points offer by using a voucher for Spend over £20 and get 200points free, so my £30-odd shop gave me 454 points :)
