It's funny when people have their forum names it's strange to think of their real life names! I'm never clicked that our Kat was a Katherine!
Oh dear I appear to have started a vicious rumour! I was just lengthening her name in order to tell her off. ;)

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".

Hi, please count me. I have been lurking since the beginning of the month.

You are a lucky duck - I am feeling generous for one more contender...

  • Afternoon! LAGL i'm so jealous of your house find, I am in an old victorian house which at the moment is leaning to one side...We were meant to have the roof fixed today (we rent so landlord had arranged) and the roofer said "i'm not doing it, there is too much to do up there that I haven't been informed about and a lot of structual work needs doing before i can do anything". The bloke was great and said he is going to make sure it's sorted because the landlord keeps putting it off!

SFD today! hurrah. I managed to stop myself popping in the shop for some fizzy pop. Coffee all the way! xx

Goals: Save £500 for emergencies, Save £200 of Amazon vouchers for Xmas, fix my holey clothes!

HM if is this money already accrued through transactions last month and accumulated over the months prior to The October Awakening that may have already have been mentioned in other posts as money gained - then no... if its a brand new only-in-October gain then yes...;-)

    LAGL - don't blame you - worth a shot in asking though...lol!

    boooooo :(
    ........;)
  • I'm such a plank!!! Accidentally used the wrong debit card (that had no money in the account) I used it 3 times in sept and they only contacted us today by letter saying we were overdrawn!! Luckily they haven't charged us, I rushed straight down to the bank and payed the money in. Just goes to show me that I was so flippant about spending money I never even noticed the money hadn't gone out of the current account we are using, as I never kept track of what was going out the account or what I spent!!
Now going to need to change the address on that account and set up Internet banking etc, so I can transfer money into that account for things like car tax etc. (didn't do it today as I was technically at work and didn't want to be too long)
Anyway so I'm still counting it as a SFD as those things were from sept.
 also OH managed to seriously cheese me off, he's on lates so left when I got home, bed sheets still in the tumble drier ( oh I'll re-make the bed then ) they were dry before I left for work this morning so no excuse, He also left me his washing up!!! And his washing which I took up last night still in the basket to put away!! He is defiantly going to get a piece of my mind when he calls me in his break!
I start a part time degree next week, through the OU, so he's gonna have to pull his weight!!
We'll rant over, :D I've managed to do my signature.
Have a great eve everyone! I'm off to cook tea, something stodgy I think!! " I've just re- read my post thinking am I being erratical, opinions appreciated, although bear in mind please "ladies week" about to commence and I have OCD in relation to the house. :D

Why helloooo you fine beans! :)

Lots of reading material for me this evening- I thank you!

Enjoying the mini soap operas- (Potentially) New houses, naughty bosses, pan lid tiffs, un-made bed rage! I've been working from home all day, haven't left the house once and feel like I have some how become a recluse in the last 24 hours so your check-ins are helping to keep me a little more sane...I think! :)

    3/20 SFDs Now

Possibly 4 tomorrow.... Yep, that is as exciting as my life gets at the moment. Roll on the weekend- it's so near I can almost smell it! :T

lilian1977 - I think Kat's general rule of thumb is that medicine/prescriptions and YS items are not classed as spends. So you should still maintain your SFD :)

  • Challenger8 reporting another SFD, 3/23. Had 2 letters to post and no stamps. They didn't get posted! Persuaded OH that couscous would go really well with his fish cakes. I'm not ruining an SFD just for tatties! Shopping not being done till Saturday, and also spending tomorrow so better get all we need for the week those days.

I've still to do the charity donation, will do that Saturday.
This thread is moving really quickly, so much going on I can't keep up. LAGL if this goes well for you it sounds like your dream come true so, fingers crossed for you. Hope everything is going well for everyone else and keep up the good work. X
