TiptoesDB the free lunch oportunity was well used, would have done the same
Having a fritatta with leftovers from the fridge tonight that were on the verge of going off.
However, forgive me i have sinned. Took a massive tub with the leftovers from the chinese i made last night for tea. Scoffed it all although it would have been enough for two lunches. And THEN i bought a bag of M&Ms. SFD and £1.40 down the drain. Blame baby and his/her insatiable appetiteDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Hi all...
Miserable, busy, stressful day at work and couldn't face my brown rice and sardines for lunch!!! I confess - I did buy comfort food!!! It's interesting though - because I caught myself in the moment of decision - and the thought was there - 'I know I should eat what I have brought in and save money' and I wrestled with myself for 5 mins before turning to the dark side!!!
On the plus... awareness IS there... on the not so plus - willpower needs work. What can I say in that moment to get myself to use the force for good lol and endure a stressful day without the need for comfort food? What does everyone else do?
Kat - give me a run for my money huh??? I have witnessed your focus and determination - so I have no doubt you can achieve anything you set your mind to... Still - when you get room to breathe and get back into training - it's game on sister!!! Ha ha ha!!!

That's why i never have my wallet on meand I'm too proud now to ask co-workers for money. Today I had mine because i had to post my mum's present and see what happened the voice inside me told me to buy sweets.

Why oh why in the name of all that is MSE (or Holy, whichever suits you), am I only just discovering this thread now...?? Where have you been while I foolishly strolled into £15k of unsecured debt.
However, I have discovered you all now (and for that I have to thank Frugal Foxy who mistook me for xJoJox on another thread...) but appreciate your month is already underway... So for now I shall pop back into Lurkdom but just wanted to wish you all :starmod: Good Luck :starmod: for the rest of this month...
See you all soon :hello:
Jo xx
Hey Jo,
What a Wally I am but it was meant to be.....
I just found this thread last week and joined the forums especially to do this one.
Great that you are here anyway. Maybe ready for next month?:j:eek:Total Debt £27,196 24/8/13

SFD 2/20 today.
Took own lunch 3/31
I am obsessed with making savoury rice which is like a full meal for my lunch at work. Great hot or cold. Dead easy and cheap to make.
If anyone wants recipe let me know. Cheapest rice I've found is 40p a kg in Lidl if that helps anyone.
So funny that I recruited the wrong Jo but brilliant that she's here.
Loving the thread growth! Brilliant :T:eek:Total Debt £27,196 24/8/13

Frugal Foxy - I'd like the recipe for savoury rice too please - get a bid bored with sandwiches all the time for packed lunch.
Have clocked up SFD number 2 today!
Tomorrow won't be an SFD as have to pay my friend for my France trip, so may as well pay my tea boat money too - and I think I will pay up until the end of the month to make the most of a spend day.
I will spend on Saturday. Will need some more food, possibly petrol. I was going to go surfing on Saturday (cost £10 plus £1 for surfboard hire - I have my own wetsuit), plus petrol for a 90 mile round trip plus parking, but don't think I will go as really need to tax my car, and do some housework, and laundry, and de-weed the back yard and my plant pots. I also want to do some exercise and carry on with my crafting project. I also want to save some money too. Think I will leave the surfing until next summer when I have a bit more money and the weather is better.
Will check in again tomorrow.0
