  • My first, my daughter, was a very easy going baby and my second, my son, was even easier and even now they are teenagers they are still brilliant.

Don't know what I did to get so lucky but I feel truly blessed with the best kids in the world.
  • Nooooooooooooooooooo and my 3rd is nothing like the 1st two although they are all grown up now

See, I think its really inappropriate and actually pretty terrible for a teacher to say that one of your children is 'better' than the others.

I don't even have children and it makes me angry to think of it!

I totally agree with you. Something lacking in the teachers for them to compare siblings in that way, and to not have fully appreciated each child's individuality and potential.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

It was a harmless throwaway remark....we all laughed about it, the older three were all high achievers and he was joking that the youngest was still probably the cleverest. He wasn't denigrating them, one of them actually teaches at the school!!

My first was challenging but on the whole easy, good tempered etc my second was the epitome of the perfect baby and child, she slept through from very early on, dream at breastfeeding never made a peep unless you were late with a meal, never had tantrums never went on the naughty step I could go on.
Baby number 3 AKA beast nearly broke hubby and I.
She screamed from the second she entered the world, I joked to hubby, I hope this isn't a sign of things to come, it was, she's nearly 3 and still screaming.
Today she was screaming, I'm not screaming, at the top of her voice, whilst sat on the step for approx 20 mins.
My first 2 had me convinced I was ace at being a parent.
    I was wrong.
I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.

I only have one, when hes good he's wonderful but when he's not he's terribly bossy and demanding, my mum who had 4 children can't believe what he's like - l definitely have the child that once you've had you say never again!

Having said that nature makes you forget alot of the bad bits and if l were 5 years younger would try again. :p

    Happy moneysaving all.

I love all my children for their different personalities. It would be very boring if they were all the same.

I suppose my DD could be feisty but it has given her the drive to conquer many difficult situations.

You do seem to have a good opinion of yourself :rotfl:
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

My 3 were all very different in personality but easy enough to look after in that they slept pretty well, ate well and had no issues with health or development. The only sleepless nights we had were due to illness or impending visits from Santa, so I think we must've been very lucky :)

I was a complete cow of a teenager. I'm researching boarding schools for DD in case she follows me. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

DD can be stroppy and stubborn - that's absolutely fine by me. It's not about having a docile child.

She loves her sleep so much I literally have to put a grenade under her at 8:45am each morning to get her to playgroup on time. She eats well. She's bright and funny. I don't think she's ever had a proper tantrum. The other week when I was poorly she told me to put a film on for her, then lie on the sofa and have a rest while she gave me a cuddle to make me better. :heartpuls. She's not even 3 yet!!!

DD has been an absolute angel (and a cheeky monkey) since her (traumatic) birth. She was just like me as a baby and is just like me as a child.

My sister refused to be put down until she was 2, didn't sleep more than 2-3 hours a night until she was 4 and started school, has always been demanding, unreasonable and a handful.

We are polar opposites in most ways.

I have to wonder if your sister would have a different interpretation.

I've no idea how you can be so sure that you were an 'angel' as a baby and a toddler!
