  • And I ve spent the money saved on a luxury item! And I will have another months smoking budget this week. This is more than I've spent on myself in two years, and I'm loving it. I know after a few months it is going back into the family money, but am loving it right now. As if I would waste it on fags when it covers luxury handbags lol!

I thought this was set up by the OP as a support thread too. Apparently not.
  • If people are looking for more support, try this site:-

    www.quitnet.com

It is American, however, due to the time difference there is usually always someone on-line.

I tend to lurk on it, but it's full of useful information and support.

Keep at it people, I've been stopped for only 5½ months and it is the best thing that I've ever done. It only took 3 months until I felt like a non-smoker. In the grand scheme of life, 3 months is nothing!
As my Mum always said "Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves"

I'm 4 days smoke free now, and 8 days this month.

    It feels good!

How's it going for you? I'm on day 25 and still going strong!
Thank you for starting this thread, it's good to see other people in the same boat.
Well we're in the last week of October and I haven't been allocated a number yet...
    Continued good luck everyone.
I don't know about anyone else but I'm planning on making this time the last time I quit as I don't intend to start again. :D

    Well done everyone.:T:T:T:T:T

I didn't join because I was waiting on my ecig kit coming :( Now it's here and I'm day 8 and finding it much easier than I have ever before. I did have a little bit of a wobble today when I was in a lot of pain, but got through it. What I have saved so far has covered the price of my ecig and then some, so rather pleased with myself

end of day 23 . Breathing and singing much better. hoping not to go back on the cigarettes but it still feels like 1 puff and I'd be in heaven .

wow I second that and it's been over a month for me now. Will this ever go away?

An ex smoker colleague at work says you never really give up but the time between each one gets longer. I've known her to have a ciggy during really stressful days in the office and then not have another for 6 months or more.

I'm on day 28. :j The money I save is getting put in a separate account, but ultimately it will go go on stuff for the house-jobs that need doing etc.
