I think to be completely accurate it was actually because he made fun of what she was watching on TV when he came in after a night out. But I am fairly sure your post will be deleted shortly, as that version of history has long since been rewritten.

Ahh. I just remember reading a big argument about it and I can't find it to read it now. And I couldn't find the original thread either. So that'll be why.

But to be fair if I attacked my OH everytime he made fun of the TV programmes I watch, I'd have been done for domestic abuse a long time ago

.....or come to think of it if the OP had come on her and said that her OH attacked her because she had made fun of whatever he was watching I doubt that there would have been many defending him

    I'm not defending her!

I just thought it was wrong to let a post stay on record which suggested her husband "would not let her watch" a TV programme, which suggested that he was some sort of controlling bully, when the facts are described on that thread were rather different.

Do you remember what the thread was called because I can't even find the thread that I read that mentioned it. It'd be interesting to read what was left over.

    Apologies.

Actually it wasn't that he wouldn't let her watch a programme more that he made fun of it (I think it was BGT) and the OP had had enough and then practised her marital arts on him.

Unlike the topic of this thread - if the first post is read closely - there are no leftovers from the topic you mention.

    I've been Money Tipped!
The BGT thread was deleted and subsequent mentions of it have also been deleted.

The OP has been very critical of her OH for years - the poor bloke can't ever seem to do anything right... Still it is her choice to stay and live with it!

I have cried buckets over some of the posts on here. some have been understanding, some have misunderstood my original post and some (the latter posts) have just been having a 'go' at me.
    to clear up some misunderstandings
I cannot seem to cook for two people! I always cook for about five people! so there is always plenty for 'seconds' plus my portion for lunch the next day. I freeze leftovers - always have, so always have a meal available.
I am very careful of my OHs health - he has a medical every year in work and one year his cholesterol was very high - I knew it could be due to his 'addiction' to pies, pastries and biscuits so cut them from shopping list and substituted other things like fruit for snacks.
I do NOT eat my main meal at 6.00pm as some posters seem to think (not having read the OP properly), I eat my main meal by 1.00pm. OH wants his dinner/supper/main meal at 8.00 - no negotiation.
I don't! no negotiation, as when I WAS eating huge meals with him I put on a lot of weight - three STONE! which doesn't sit well on a person 5 foot tall. I DONT eat after 6.00pm because it doesn't suit my metabolism and OH knows that. I will of course, eat later if its a special occasion or we want to go out for a meal! I am not a total killjoy!
but, I don't want to be called his 'little dumpling' - other people may find it funny, I don't.

I thank those with practical suggestions!
in future I will dish mine up and hide it in fridge.
I will urge OH to see GP as I think he may have 'worms'.
