Thank You Granny, Lucky & Mummy:j:j.
I still feel extremely happyand it also means that we may be able to look at more expensive houses now. Just that few thousand more makes all the difference :T. I've worked out potentially by next April we could have saved nearly £17,500  plus the interest free loan we can get of £15k that's £32,500!! I have to take into account fees & things though of which I have no idea how much they cost in all
so we do need to look into it to see how much we have left as that will be our deposit.
This weekend I need to still go to @sda, as yesterday DS1 came in too late and I was half way through dinner so we'll do that today instead and I may see if I can find some change in purses & pockets for some snacky foods for a film afternoon. It's chucking it down outside and I don't think the kids will want to go out in it!

Morning!
I wish I could have slept through today and woken up on Tuesday instead.
Few bits of not so great news for February's budget:
*Still have no tenant (but paying the mortgage) so budget short by £400+
*DH has had £200+ taken from his wages so budget will be short by around £100 there (the rest is usually his money to spend)
*No money from DPS yet (£525 for savings)
No so great news for my remaining £20 until Friday!
DH has had a work's night out sprung on him- compulsory and spendy. He's taken £20 for it even though it's £10 to get in so not a lot of spending money once there. He's not happy & neither am I but he can't get out of it. I underbudgeted by £5 something for the v1rgin bill so had to borrow £5 from my £20. So i have around £14 (and a few odd pence) for any food I need. I lent DH the money for tonight out of my car tax cash fund so I need to pay this back asap in Feb. I just hope the money from the DPS comes in and soon so I can use that to top car tax up before allocating the rest to savings.
DH needs to update training at work to get the money he is short by for next month. He's away nearly all of March and for a week in Feb so he needs to book on to that course A.s.a.p really as there is usually a long wait for itHe thinks he will get back paid though.
I am only working 3 weeks this month so I think will only be paid for the 3 weeks which leaves me short so all in all we will be short by nearly £1k I think this month :eek: I will work it out properly later but I think the savings will have to take a back seat for the moment as we will struggle to feed ourselves as it is this month without breaking into savings. This is all on first glances. I will actually go and have a look at my spreadsheet and work it all out on worst case scenarios.
I also need to get over to HS (homestart) as they have a family they can match me with but I haven't given them ID yet (I forgot it when I was supposed to bring it) so I will try and drop it in this week as well as take the safeguarding test then I can be up and running with that.
Oh and the dvd player broke (and it was the only one in the house not built into a tv so can't use another from a bedroom :wall:
These things are sent to test us . All at once, it seems.Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. J- £103.27, F- £115, M- £91.50, A- £100, M- £200, J- £200. J- £200. A-£200, S- £221.34. O-£200EF- £642.41/500
