Suggest sister refers RSPCA employee to their own guidelines:
http://www.rspca.org.uk/allaboutanimals/pets/dogs/environment/livingoutside
Just had a look at that and I wish I'd found it the other day, searched everywhere for something similar! I'm useless on go0gle. This is what I find so so so confusing the email in which my sister received clearly told her to tell me that they were well within their rights to keep the dog outside all day and they see no signs of neglect (this reply was all from the branch where it came from not the main rspc@ site). Their views conflict with what the main site has told me too. I refuse to contact them anymore though as I feel like i'm being made into some sort of trouble maker that I am not. This whole thing has been turned around and along side the outrageous claims they've made about us personally I just am at a loss what to do. Her smirking this morning said it all to me, she thinks she's won this and DH thinks we should just leave it alone. We've done all we can for the dog and no one wants to know (it's like they are protected in some way?!) and he thinks we should just ignore the complaints as we know they are not true....i'm so angry though I want revenge right now :rotfl: I will calm down though as I know the right thing to do is ignore ignore ignore!

Typed "R$PCA guidelines for dogs living outdoors" in search box.debtfreewannabe321 wrote: »This is what I find so so so confusing the email in which my sister received clearly told her to tell me that they were well within their rights to keep the dog outside all day and they see no signs of neglect (this reply was all from the branch where it came from not the main rspc@ site). I would counter this by asking when they visited to inspect the conditions dog is being kept in?
..Actually, given your next comment below, I'd be tempted to get in touch with Martin Delgado (reporter who wrote the press article about that poor pony). Give him the facts and stand back - his job to investigate possible corruption within the R$PCA - not yours or ours.debtfreewannabe321 wrote: »I refuse to contact them anymore though as I feel like i'm being made into some sort of trouble maker that I am not. Trouble is, you're facing two issues here. The dog's welfare isn't your direct responsibility, so once you've passed on the details to someone the neighbours cannot bully, it is right to remove yourself from that conflict.
But you still live next door to this couple who have put in an official complaint about you. If you accept 'she's won' rather than seeking a resolution both parties can live with without further resentment, you are giving a bully permission to keep doing it - such is the nature of bullying. In failing to give her satisfaction - and more fuel - when you ignore her, how long will it be before others - including the children - are drawn in?
..None of us want to read a future post from you littered with  and  because one of your kids has come home in tears bearing a physical injury - caused by a child who has been listening to this woman's ranting bile!
Unfortunately I have no experience of life in Quarters. But was mates at college with a chap who is now a senior army officer. Occasionally our paths cross; last time that happened his wife told me she spends a lot of time with the men's families, arranging functions / treats, and sorting out what she called "personality clashes and petty disputes".
Although her role is unpaid, it's part of her married life and she has a fair bit of clout, behind the scenes. Am pretty certain that in this case she would be able to recommend moving the family to another house, and it would happen.
Do you have someone like my old mate's wife who you could talk to, DFw? Someone who can help reach a better solution than just trying to blank out the family next door..
As [hopefully] a last aside re the dog; all snow-dogs are pack animals. If the Mal had a companion and some toys to play with, it would be less worrying that both dogs were locked outside all day (- with shed for shelter. Btw, do they let her inside at night?). Not that I'm suggesting neighbour gets another one (because she's clearly not interested in the dog's welfare)!
Somewhere I read that families who fall in love with a snow-dog, on average end up with four in their household - which is better for the dogs, and allows participation in several types of running sports with 'em. DS4 got into this and I must say it's great fun - but then my idea of a wonderful day out is meeting lots of people who care about their dogs, learning from them, and seeing everyone - on two legs and four - enjoying themselves (keeping fit is a bonus).

I've made an official complaint to the rspc@ about the particular branch that has been giving all the bad info as well as homing the dog there and insisting that they trust the neigbours implicitly ...they have this opinion after meeting them once or twice???Trouble is, you're facing two issues here. Someone who can help reach a better solution than just trying to blank out the family next door..I hate living here :rotfl:We also have people we can talk to such as your friend's wife at functions held throughout the week. Thing is though that I don't attend these mornings anymore as it's just not my thing. A lot of the snr's wives are friendly but they don't really mix with us lot (can't think of any other way to put it without offending....) and I don't want to be seen as one of those who's having a 'petty dispute gotten out of control' which is exactly what this is. DH & I have already spoken about summer time when kids will be outside and if they haven't put a fence up by then we will be getting something super cheap but tall and not see through to put up so kids remain in their own gardens and also don't need to mix (even saying that saddens me that it has come to this!)

Well NSD as planned today. We had the mince & onion pie and everyone said it was delicious :T one of the kids that i look after even went home and told her mum that she thought I was great as I took them to the park for 45 mins, made them homemade pie and homemade jam tarts (just used up left over pastry );) Nice to know I get it right sometimes hey :rotfl:
I did an hours meditation earlier, feel so much better for it. More grounded, calmer and centred :T . I took the dog for his hours walk and met someone who went to puppy training with ushe now has another dog and has offered to show me a route I didn't know that takes you right up near the zoo....I said next time I see him I will take his number (he's 68...so i'm hoping DH doesn't mind :rotfl:) and we can meet up for the walk :T and we both have dogs with the same name. Random bit of info there for you ...
I went home and cut my hair (meant to do this at weekend) and shaped it again, it grows so quickly I can't tame it. I won't complain though as if I take after my nan I won't have too much hair for much longer. I also steamed my face with some lemon oil and felt very relaxed and pampered by the school run (for which I was late so I could avoid everyone...don't you have days where you don't want to talk to anyone at all
).
I've tidied the kitchen so am now catching up on building the dream. Couples building their dream homes............I can but dream at the moment. Your washing powder?! How do you make washing powder?? :rotfl:
I will definitely make some use of it this weekend!! I'm kinda scared of it though if I'm honest....I'm thinking I will make some loaves of bread and after seeing your brownies, have a real craving for them since yesterday! I had some weight watchers chocolate mini rolls last night when I got home but they're not quite the same as that chocolatey, gooey goodness you get from brownies! :rotfl:Saved so far - £28,890.97

Omg the brownies are lush. Full of caloriesbut lovely!! I got the recipe from Froogs blog (frugal queen) they have coconut in too
Yep i've been making my own washing powder for a while now as kids skin was reacting to shop bought, and the price of shop bought is huge compared to when you make your own (if you do 10+ washes a week like me you've probably already noticed it's expensive!)Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. Hello everyone!
This morning was spent in the dr's surgery with DD. She has an infection in her finger and I now feel guilty for not having taken her sooner. It's been hurting her for a week now and we squeezed the pus out with a sterilised needle at the weekend which helped a little but the infection has spread under her nail. The dr has given her a weeks worth of penicillin and told me what it was called and after googling it i'm now convinced her whole finger is going to fall off (yes i'm one of those....) I feel so bad for not having taken her sooner but it honestly didn't look that bad until this morning ...overnight it seems to have gotten 3 times worse . She's in school and i've given them a bottle of medicine with instructions when to give it to her. I hope it clears it up as dr wants to see her next week to see if she needs something else or it needs to be cut and drained. Feel so so bad
. Have to say it's her fault though for biting her nails!!! I'm always telling her to stop and the first thing the dr asked was "does she bite her nails"!!!
Met with a friend back at mine and put the world to rights. She's gone and now i'm supposed to walk the dog but it's cold, damp and foggy outside and dog has spent 30 seconds in garden today before running back in so I may just skip the walk. He seems about as bothered as I am :rotfl:. He's laid on my bed at the moment fast asleep!
My house also looks like a tip thanks to spending all morning drinking tea and in Dr's surgery! Oh well I think for one day I will leave it as if I clean it up now it will be messing in around 2 and a half hours anyway ...
Sausage, chips and beans for dinner. Nice and easy as I have lots of walking to and fro from youth club to do later plus they've all begged me for junk food for weeks :rotfl: so I relented. I never feed my kids things like this really, it's not healthy but mainly because I don't like it:shhh:.
I've flead the dog and wormed him ..I had to dunk the worming tablet in a load of butter to get him to even open his mouth and then do you know what he did?! He went off to the front room, dropped the tablet, licked off the butter and left the tablet!!! So I ended up having to hold him down and force it down his throat (I was gentle that sounds harsher than what it was, honest :rotfl:) He skulked off for 5 minutes after that before returning looking for treats :rotfl:. Right i'll have a quick catch up on here as i've resigned myself to a lazy afternoonMortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. Morning!
banking is done, i've transferred money over to cover a DD due out tomorrow. I borrowed £100 from the emergency funds to cover the food expenses this last weekend gone. I have put the child benefit back over to the emergency funds from this week +£10 (£55 in all) and I will need to put next week's child benefit over to cover all the money borrowed. This is not taking into account anything that might crop up...so best case scenario being I haven't borrowed anything from the emergency funds this month (like every month previous to now it seems )
Planned spends this week:
£5 on a c.d player from a fb page, later today.
£20 on massage(£15) & a parking permit for the college (£5- will last a whole year).
£2 toilet rolls (I forgot them argh!)
Aside from those spends i've nothing else planned so let's see if I can do this  Pay day is next Friday!
Will chase up the DPS before the end of the month too see what is happening there. Also chase up letting agents so I can see if I will be getting an income there soon.
I've downloaded the YNAB thing for the laptop to start the free trial. Will see how I go, it looks very similar to my spreadsheet right now but this does look nicer. I want to see if it works any better though so will try and fill this out as and when things are dueMortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46.
