    Hi DFw, :hello:

Wow what a lot of <choice swearwords> you've had to put up with from your weird neighbours recently!
    ...............
    ^^ Speechless!
Reading between the lines; said neighbours must have a mate or family member working at the branch where they got the dog from. So many rules have been broken, I reckon it's a job for an investigative journalist who's interested in uncovering the corruption.
A quick goog!e reveals another story about 'em in the Dai!y Mai! today...

As for the neighbours' litany of complaints about you; hope the Welfare Officer can see their hidden agenda and reaches a satisfactory conclusion (moves them?). Not that another house will help the poor dog! :(

Am very jealous of property prices in the area you're planning to move to eventually; the same budget only gets a studio flat where DS4 needs to live! :wall:

We think the same that they have a friend working there. My sister received an email saying that huskies love to live outside and shelter is not a problem and that I had lied about there being a water bowl as she trusts the people who've re-homed her. Hmmm what does this say to you?! Washed my hands of it now and unfortunately dog is out as much as before but apparently they have tried calling her in and she ignores them (think this is a lie as seen the dog curled up outside the back door on frosty days looking utterly bored) *sigh*

We are moving to that area precisely for that reason that it is cheap! Well that and it's a better place to raise our kids...semi rural. DH's mum is still angling for us to move to north Kent but we would be able to afford a shoe to live in with our budget :rotfl:!

Will go off and have a look at that linky now!

  • I've spent most of the day in the kitchen! DH helped me too thankfully as i'm not the most organised cook :o:rotfl:. Here's a sample of what we've made!

    20140119_172208_zps29db919d.jpg
Bakewell slices (need to slice once cooled off)

    20140119_165139_zps73e14e49.jpg
Sausage Rolls for lunches & snacks

    20140119_152449_zpsf1d6ebbc.jpg
    Chocolate brownies!

    20140119_152436_zpsa959b3ad.jpg
Scotch eggs for lunches & snacks too!

Total money spent in shops was £104.88 between aldi & asda. Should have enough for 10 days now and I may be able to eek the fruit & veg out for a fair while too!

We also made Beef wellington for tonight, fishcakes x20 for 2 dinners, beef & onion puff pastry pie x 2. Oh and some bread! I'm hoping for a nice easy week of cooking now ;) i've spent far too long in the kitchen for my liking :p

  • Wow you have been busy. Everything looks yummy and I feel quite bad now with the rubbish plain ham sandwiches and value crisps that i put in our lunch boxes. Looks Like I need to get more imaginative.

Busy day, but like you said, it will make your life during the week so much easier. :T

Coo yes, what a productive day you've had, DFw; well done! :T

Suggest sister refers RSPCA employee to their own guidelines:

  • Thank You all :) If nothing else it took my mind off everything going on outside of my house with all that cooking :) However i've woken up today with my tummy in knots :undecided and really hoping DS2 hasn't given me his little bug he had last week!

I had to walk past snobby chav (as DH called her the other day, and it seems to have stuck :rotfl:- technical name you know, she sounds so common but thinks she is better than everyone else ) this morning and she looked straight at me -first time in months- and smirked. Ohmygosh, it took everything I had not to retaliate with something nasty . I smiled to myself instead and looked away. She honestly thinks she has "won"! Anyway I'm back in my house but still not happy, especially as DH has gone away until Friday now.

Today's plans have been a bit scuppered as I feel so icky so I think I will just chill out this morning and try and walk the dog before school run later. I did all my ironing last night watching tv and also hoovered all downstairs so housework is minimal thankfully. I just need to make some mash and put some pastry over the pie filling and dinner is ready for later too. It's nice being organised and I will make the most of it as it rarely happens for long in my house :rotfl:
