  • Me again! I thought it had started snowing earlier, white stuff all over my garden! But no, the doggy next door decided she didn't like her bed very much (big faux leather bean bag type thing) and totally shredded it  so panic over cold snowy weather can be held off for another day ;)

It's my last training session (I think unless I've miscounted!) For home start tomorrow and I've still not got together all the I.d they need :( I've got no passport ( can't afford it) I've misplaced my paper part of the driving license and all my bills are paperless  I'll have another quick root around tomorrow but I'm pretty sure I've checked everywhere i can . I am soooooo disorganised

  • Morning!

Well I should be sat in my home start course right now. Of course nothing ever really goes to plan here . DS2 has been up ALL night with a really bad temperature and mumbling on about monsters etc (think he was hallucinating too kept saying something was in his room  I was too scared to check even though DD was still in there :o:o). I'm shattered, he's shattered and he's poorly :( poor thing. This morning we've collected my prescription and some calpol for him. Can you believe I had one dose of calpol left and we gave it to DD right before he fell ill! She had some sort of infection in her finger and it had gone green (was fine in the morning when I had sent her to school?!) she said it had been hurting so we had to pop it and squeeze it out (where's the green faced smiley:eek: I thought I was going to be sick!) and she cried so much we gave her the calpol for the pain. Then cue ds2 falling ill. Typical huh .

So i've cancelled my course for today :( not sure when I can finish it off now as I don't know when they will run another one again.

Last night we had a bit more drama from next door :wall::whistle:. She randomly text me telling me I was crazy and that she will be seeking advice from a solicitor (didn't say what for?!) and to stay out of her life. Ummmm ok. DH thinks it's probably because she didn't want to put a bed out for the dog and when she was forced to and then the dog ripped it apart she's probably not happy and now blaming it all on me. Ho hum. Whatever. Really don't care. She's very aggressive over a text but when I see her face to face she just has the look (ya know the one where she looks like she's been chewing wasps:rotfl:) and doesn't say a word! I saw her this morning and dawdled waiting for her to say something, thinking that it was better to have a conversation like an adult out in the open and not misconstrued over texts....she just stuck her nose up and stomped past. Sigh. I'll await the letter from a solicitor then I guess, telling me not to call the r$pca on people who neglect their animals needs......not. :rotfl:

Guess what I did so well on the food budget only to find someone has used all the sugar up (ds1...my main suspect right now!) and there is no cereal . I've got porridge so that can do for now and I picked up sugar this morning. No doubt i've forgotten something else too :o

  • HI DFW

Your neighbour sounds seriously deranged. Think i would change my mobile number and not give her the attention she so obviously craves. Hate the way its such luck of the draw with having good/bad neighbours, as there is no way to know before you move somewhere and then you are at their mercy. Good luck, would seriously ignore her from now on.

I know what you mean about the shopping. I ALWAYS make a list, try to stick to a budget, then I get home and realise I have forgotten 3-4 things......Grrrrrr.

We have a Waitrose coming to our nearest town, and everyone is looking forward to it - Except me - I would rather a closer L1dl :rotfl:

We don't have any A1di's are they similar to L1dl?.

Hope your Ds is feeling better soon, I hate it when they are poorly. xxx

Hi Steph thanks for popping in. Usually I would be fuming about this type of thing that the neighbour has done. I think from her behaviour and odd reactions that she might be under a lot of stress/ perhaps some PND. So, as i've been there, done that, I'm choosing to ignore it. I don't think mentally she is quite right and i'm not going to make it worse by retaliating. However saying that I won't sit by and watch that poor skinny little dog be neglected. She's closed the shed door again today after the dog emptied it out and broke the bean bag so I think the message may have been a threat to not ring the rspca again?

When we move I will be asking the estate agent for properties in our price range in a semi-rural or rural area I think. That's the sort of place I grew up in and felt most at peace in, it's just taken me 30 odd years to realise it ;) I don't think I will ever again choose to live on an estate. Be it a private one or ex-council. Unless of course it's detached, surrounded by tall trees and you can't see the neighbours :p

I believe a1di and l1dl were opened up by 2 brothers and they originally were just one main shop but fell out over something and split the shops into the two we have now, a1di and l1dl. I remember being told when I on holiday and saw the 2 shops side by side and the tour guide thought we'd love to know the history of the shops :rotfl: I've got an awful memory though so can't remember much more :o. But yes I think they're very similar in price/produce etc from when i've been in both :). Our waitr0se is pretty new hence why I thought i'd try it. Never again unless i'm desperate :rotfl: far too expensive for my liking

Indeed, what a shame DS2 had to be ill on the last day of your course DFw - hope he perks up soon and you can re-arrange the last session (talk to the people in charge; maybe there's another course still running not too far away which you could join in with?).

Your neighbour is obviously struggling. It is a huge shame that communication between you is so strained. Must say I'd prefer a complaint / concern to be raised face-to-face rather than hearing about it from some official, but of course her earlier behaviour had already damaged relations between you (hindsight can be a terrible thing :o).

Am also still concerned for the dog - had to chuckle when you described it as a "poor skinny little dog" though.
Trashing bedding is a sure sign of boredom.
What comes across most from your descriptions DFw, is that your neighbour really isn't very interested in the dog. Bet she chose it for it's looks (why else get a rescue dog from a centre so far away?).
    :(

    :(

I tried to talk to her face to face only to be snubbed each time :(

I could go on all day about it as it's just so sad to see her out there. She's still out there now, again with no shelter but I feel threatened by them to be quite honest and I know they will make my life hell if I complain again. I don't honestly know what to do. My friend who first raised the complaint is debating asking them to hand her over to her so she can take care of her (she already has a husky). I'm not sure that will go down well at all so have advised against this but I think she's going to anyway. So we will see....

Kids are coming late tomorrow morning so I might try and get a lie in till 7.30! ;)
