Thank you all
Wow look at the time already, i've only just sat down . To be fair though I did get a lie in today, I got the kids their breakfast (6.30 am) and put the t.v on, gave them a cardboard box each to make something with and their pens and went back to bedso I got to stay in there until 10am when I got woken up again because they'd fallen out over the red felt tip !
NSD again today. I went out yesterday and got stocking fillers and think I may be finished with that :T and also got some sweets for the advent calender that I had made a few years backThe smaller kids have a playmobil one each too which I bought super early so it was only £9/10 each and I think they are great value (when you buy them for that price anyway :rotfl:) as you get a whole set of stuff in them :T. DS1 has had two days off school because of TT days, I ironically got a letter in the post commending him on his behaviour, attitude and attendance for this term!
I am going to try and go through the presents tonight and make sure I haven't forgotten any thing and then when DH is home I will talk to him about the siblings. I am now thinking a nice frame with a pic of all the kids in? I have a nice school pic of DS2 & DD but not of DS1 and he hates his pic being taken but I don't want to leave him out ? Hmmm...?!
Budgets are worked out and I realised that I have already put the savings away for this month and so don't know if I can reach the £3k target :eek:. I am going to still try though! DH has had a tonne of presents sent to the house over the last few days. I am taking it these are for him as much as me :rotfl:, one was a home cinema system (speakers) which I was quite happy with actually. Our t.v keeps going on the blink with the sound, it just randomly goes up and down and even off so DH was talking about a new 3D t.v  No chance! So I told him to look for speakers insteadThe invoice was in there and he spent around £55 so i'm happy with that, better than a thousand pounds on a new t.v! I've got another one through which is a camera case, but it doesn't fit my camera, so i'm wondering if he has cracked and bought me a n1kon that i've been after forever  nothing through the post yet so will have to wait and see! I've not bought DH anything and it's his birthday on Weds
he's so difficult to buy for as he never wants anything cheap-mid range always expensive like a handheld garmin (wtheck is one of these anyway?!!?!?!) so I think I will get him a steak, some wine/other alcohol and ask if he fancies going out for a drink for a few hours instead?!
I've got 2 days left until DH is home :T, and 2 weeks until I get xmas leave :j:T!
As i've been typing this i'm getting very tempted to go out in my p.j's to the shops and grab some chocolate ....so think I will leave here instead and go and put the dinner on :rotfl: anyone else suffer with this late afternoon energy slump whereby my body demands chocolate!
Will try and catch up with you all in a bit :AMortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. J- £103.27, F- £115, M- £91.50, A- £100, M- £200, J- £200. J- £200. A-£200, S- £221.34. O-£200EF- £642.41/500

I forgot to say if anyone is planning a trip to tatco this weekend they have trolleys at the front of stores where you can put non perishables in for the local food banks. I got the feeling it was nationwide rather than just our local one and such a good idea
DS1 and I picked up £10 worth of food and put it in there for them, I'll take the money out of the food budget but it's worth it.

I went to my local Mr T yesterday and they had two ladies from a local foodbank asking for donations, some people just ignored them. I bought a few packets of pasta to donate. I don't mind if this was a weekly occurrence as I would gladly donate, its heartbreaking to think people cannot afford food.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

Thank you for telling us all about Tesco (not sure why you spell Tesco, Asda, Aldi etc, in a strange way on here?) anyhow, I was going to Chesterfield tomorrow and will drop in and buy a few things from their unbelievably massive store for the foodbank - any recommendations as to what I should buy?2018 totals:

Alex they had a list of things that were in most need of that they handed out when you went in. I believe if you spell these SM correctly that they come up as hits on g00gle

I've a mountain of ironing to do and the whole house needs a quick dust and hoover today. I was hoping to get the weeks shopping done too but I'll see how much I get done first
am feeling a bit lazy again today! And can you believe I didn't do my meal planner this month  I think I will do a week by week one as the first two weeks will be normal but once DH is off we will probably be visiting family etc so won't be here constantly.
Kids opened their advent calenders this morning and poor ds2 got upset when he realised he could only open one door  bless him :rotfl: dd just rolled her eyes at him and sauntered off, you would never believe there is only 12 months between them! I'm awaiting their santa letters in the post from a friend who makes them :T I love Christmas :xmastree::xmassign::santa2::xmassmile:snow_laug:snow_grin

When my dc were little, dd had 2 days where there was no chocolate behind the door. On the 3rd day she told me. On investigation it transpired that DS had opened the bottom of DDs calendar, removed all the chocolates and then sealed it back up. He was very little at the time too. It backfired on him though as DD was bought another one and given £5 for not making a fuss about it.
The following year, I made a cloth one and filled the pockets each night before I went to bed. Makes me smile when I think about it though as was pretty ingenious
Happy December my dear
