Well I felt awful yesterday and so I took myself off to the DRs, I have a chest infection so no wonder my new inhalers weren't working. I was feeling dizzy and light headed because I couldn't breathe properly. Still not feeling great but I have doubled my dose on the inhalers and got anti biotics now.
Thanks all, RE the house. I believe in fate so I think it obviously wasn't meant to be too. However I wondered why the house was still up as SSTC yesterday and I hadn't heard anything from the EA's....My email app on the laptop wasn't sending any of my emails. :wall: I think that house is cursed now, am sure of it :rotfl: SO I had to log on to the email via g00gle this morning and resend it. I've checked the sent box and it's finally in there (on the app it was sat in the outbox) so hopefully they will have received the bad news now :embarasse But ya know perhaps it is a good thing for them they might get someone along who can afford to pay full price now?!
So today I need to run a few errands I need some cleaning products so will pop to B&M and I need to try and find some sort of nose trimmer for the dog's ears  He's very hairy and he hates his ears being plucked so I thought an ear trimmer might be better?! I also treated myself yesterday after the bad news....I got a toby carvery breakfastI went with a friend and we stuffed ourselves silly all for the price of £6 (with a drink). Yummy! I had IBS afterwards but it was worth the cramps
. I also bought some new serum & face cream that i've been coveting for a month or so after the last ones ran out and I bought cheap ones to replace them which have totally dried my skin out
. I can tell I am no longer 21. Sadly. My skin needs moisturising, my hair is thinning and I have a constant sore scalp and I have lines appearing all over my face to match my grey hairs which are sprouting daily _pale_ I could cry! I've read something somewhere online that says upping your water intake will help with putting a bit of plumpness and colour back into your cheeks. And it's good for you so I thought i'd give it a go! I usually drink around 1.5l anyway so I'm doubling it to 3l. I started yesterday and I already feel better, no headaches and I feel clearer headed (is it all in my head? :rotfl:) I'm hoping it will make me look 10 years younger too so I'll keep it up until I see an improvement (It might take a while I look awful at the minute thanks to my cold and spots all over my face from the cheap moisturiser!)
So it hasn't been NSDs or even LSDs but I don't care, I think I deserved itDid I say I also bought a bottle of expensive port for the MA, he didn't get paid for all the hours he'd put in and I felt bad. Plus he's my friend's dad so I personally know he's not well off and well I just thought it was a nice thing to do. So that was £33 (inc. delivery). Hopefully he will receive it today and in one piece!
I've emailed humax this morning about my broken box I can't find the receipt anywhere and I hope they can help basically with the serial number and finding it on their systems. Otherwise I have a broken box and no tvand will have wasted lots of money!
Hope everyone is well. When I am feeling better I will catch up with you all one evening. Last few nights have been spent sleeping since 8pm :eek:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Hello love
Just wanted to say on the face cream, I use a night time one that is 1% retinol, and have to say the results were incredible within a few weeks. It doesn't cost the earth and I am not a big believer in spending tonnes on products, but this is definitely one I wouldn't do without now! The website I linked to gives you 15% off with a voucher code that is displayed and has been there for months so you don't have to rush to get it now- and is free delivery over a certain amount. I bought one for me, and one for mum when I bought from there. Prices are higher everywhere else and continue to go up as it becomes more popular. You have to start by doing it twice a week and then move to every other night before moving it to every night. It is like having your face resurfaced overnight. I wake up with completely different texture to my skin, which for me and my various allergies feels great
Anyway I sound like an advert, but I have had ever Number 7 Protection and Perfection amongst many other creams over the years and this one has been by far and away the best of the best!
Also there is an article in the daily fail today about things to do to make your hair shinier/feel better etc. All sorts of stuff on there
Hope you get better from the chest infection soon! Lots of love xx

Thanks Lilt! I've bookmarked the page for next time I need some moisturiser...the one i've ordered is about a fiver dearer than that one so similar pricing
I've spent all day cleaning, i've had loads more energy today so something must be helping (inhalers? AntiBs? Water? All three...) the house smells lovely as I bought some carpet deodoriser and sprinkled it everywhere, threw the dog in the garden for half hour (not literally...he went off to sunbathe in the furthest corner where he found sun lol) and left it to sink in. Mopped & hoovered everywhere and got a wash dry outside :T. I'm sure by tomorrow it will be a mess again but it's nice to enjoy one day of clean surroundings huh!
Not spoken to DH again. I expect he'll call about 10pm like he's done for the last few nights (on skype) and i've been asleepI might be able to manage 10pm tonight
Need to do my banking and catch ynab up with my spends. Will do that tomorrow now though. My MA text me to say thank you very much for the port we sent over and they'd be enjoying a tipple of that tonight. Made me wish I'd got myself a bottle in too :rotfl:
So I've managed the 3l of water again today and the only downside is the amount of times I need to use the loo :rotfl: it's pretty annoying when you need to go every hour (ok perhaps that's a slight exaggeration). I've also been off of Chocolate for 3 days (this is day three anyway and I am not going to have any tonight) I think that has caused my skin to break out too so i'm off that and on to the water instead.
Kids had swimming today and my two are in different classes so basically I need to take one out of the pool and send the other one in, so I leave my seat for 5 mins whilst showering ds2 who's just coming out ...well I got back to my seat after he'd got out the shower (I dress him whilst watching DD - we're an expert at covering up his dinky now!) and some woman obviously thought I wouldn't be coming back so got her seat and put it practically on top of mine. Never mind I thought and squeezed through, and she sat there tutting and making noises the entire time :rotfl: and saying things to her 2 year old such as "well it's not my fault India, PEOPLE are sat RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. I can't see either!" haha. So i did what anyone would do and practically sat there with ants in my pants wriggling around the entire time so she had no hopeAren't I mean. Wouldn't mind but other "front row" seats were available she was obviously just being narky. Another incident at school has left me out of favour too, I was walking in and bumped into a lady that I met through HS, so she starts moaning the second I see her and instantly makes me lose my good mood somewhere along the way to school. So today I listened to her whining and then asked her "Does anything good ever happen to you? Because all you do is moan? I've had a pretty carp week too but I don't go moaning to everyone because it brings them down too". Perhaps a little OTT as she totally avoided me when I saw her walking out the playground after collecting her DD  However when you have to listen to it 4 times a day (on the way to school times 2 and on the way back from school to home times 2!) it kinda pees you off just a little! I think I might need something called Tactic though......DH says I lack it and i'm inclined to agree after today :rotfl:

I totally understand. Since my 'friend' has moved house and schools and i dont have her constant problems each school run the world seems a much calmer and relaxed place to be. She was always having a drama of some kind and by listening - most of the time not out of choice - you feel depressed and low too.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

PMSL - sounds like you have got my tactlessness - I gave it up for lent or something. I've been very grown up and held back recently with a snarky colleague. Boss commented on it. :rotfl:
Good for you for telling her though. it might make her think twice. Or she might just add you to the list of things to moan about to someone else, but at least you don't have to listen to it!!!
Clean house. I wonder what that feels like.. :rotfl: even for a few minutes would be good. xx

Morning!
Had a busy day yesterday as went carpet shopping with a friend who's just moved. Was nice to be out of the house for a while but I felt absolutely done in by the time I got home  My naughty kids have been waking me up so early that yesterday I Was falling asleep by 3pmdidn't help that my chest is hurting and i'm full of cold. Anyway I ended up getting a take away (£16 only thankfully) and dropping in my bed by 7pm! I was absolutely exhausted and so tearful (god I sound like one of the kids when they're tired and I wondered where they got it from :rotfl:) I threatened them with no tv and no doing anything fun today if they dared to wake me up before 7am today :rotfl: it worked and I woke up at 8.30am to sounds of someone being murdered.....turns out it was just DD screaming because DS2 wanted to play with his toys on her "patch" of the bedroom floor :wall: I think i may have slept till lunch if they hadn't woken me up so probably a good job. Would be nice to wake up on my own without screaming and fighting just once a week though .
So I feel better today :T but the weather is carp and I think a dvd day is called for so that I don't go making myself more ill out in the cold. DS2 also has a very snotty nose this morning and is coughing. So a day in pjs I think!
DH has been gone one week so 6 more to go........
I bumped into "friend/acquaintance" yesterday at the school run and I wasn't quite as blunt this timebut I did just completely ignore every depressing thing she said. I ended up ignoring almost 95% of her conversation
. Just can't be doing with it to be honest! I've renamed her Eeyore. :rotfl: She even walks like Eeyore with her head down, her shoulders hunched and a sad look on her face. I think she needs to go to the Drs but unfortunately I think she likes moaning too much. I've tried to offer advice and a friendly ear as have some of my other friends before now and just a chance for a cuppa round our houses so break routine but she's not interested. I do feel sorry for her but when someone repeatedly ignores all advice from several people (including my boss lady at HS who's tried to help her) what can you do?? p.s if you do have any helpful advice I am all ears as I feel just ignoring her is rude but if you say "oh i'm so sorry that must be awful" she just gets even more engrossed in her "story" of depresssiveness (that's not a word is it?) argh! help anyone I can't be doing with this every day I feel depressed enough myself :rotfl:
So DH has only been able to speak to us for 40 mins the whole time he's been in the US the signal is rubbish for skyping and the time difference means he's at work or asleep when we're free to talk. Ah well. I would like to know what he thinks on moving options though as Ds1 hasn't applied for a school here, DD hasn't applied for the junior school here and only DS2 is guaranteed a place for September. I really don't want to stay anyway but I'm not sure if we can afford to rent. If anyone has any good opinions on this too i'm all ears. Can you tell how indecisive I am being latelyI've realised that summer holidays is only 4-5 months away so I need to make a decision really on how to move forward now the house sale is off.
Anyway today I am going to do some washing (thank goodness I did 2 washes yesterday so it dried outside in no time :T) It's in the machine now and the wash basket is empty :T and I need to give the front room a clean up as well as the kitchen but most of the jobs are done until Monday. The garden is looking good too after 4 tip runs this last week (it's right next to my dog walking spot so I took a bag each time I walked the dog :T) and all the shrubs & bushes are trimmed back and the paths cleared. I need a new lawnmower but I think I'll wait until the grass is a bit drier, it's constantly damp at the moment.
Still need to do YNAB I've got so used to not having it i'm very lapse at filling it out daily nowmust get back into a routine! My skincare stuff turned up this morning so I am going to have a bath and a bit of a pamper to cheer myself up I think
