    Hi DFw, :hello:

Very glad to read that you're back at home!
    ..Resting up hopefully?

When something like this happens, it proves the worth of having avoided antibiotics for minor complaints doesn't it? ;)

Is your MIL still staying with you?

So glad to hear your a home and on the mend.

Don't push yourself too much if you can help it. Make full use of all offers of help from MIL and other friends and family.

I can just see you snipping off bits of aloe vera from all your plants :rotfl:. I used to have one of those, I must get one next time I am at the garden centre. Sweet little plants and so useful.

    Take it easy xxx
  • Ah-ha just as I thought, my reply yesterday didn't send! My internet has been on switch over from v1rgin to plu$net over the last 48 hours so it's all been a bit patchy and kept crashing. Fingers crossed it's working properly now :) I also have my new free view box up and running and it's better than the v1rgin box in the fact I know how to use all the controls :rotfl: so that's my entertainment sorted whilst i'm on R&R ;). Finger is healing, one cut more so than the other, purely because of where it is I guess. The one that keeps breaking open is the one on the crease where you bend your finger, I don't know how it will ever heal at this rate . Still I feel much better, anitbiotics hopefully are clearing anything that might be left and once i'm finished with them I hope my energy levels might pick up :).

DH is home Monday/Tuesday and MIl has just gone home today so i've only a few days to cope with just the one hand on my own  I think my mum & sister may be coming over on Sunday too :T.

Money has just dwindled, things were already tight  but now things are super duper squeezed and I think i'll have to borrow some from my emergency funds to get food next week.

I'm supposed to be going out for a leaving meal on Sunday evening but unsure if I even want to go now, money is tight and i'm super tired and ready for bed by 7pm (meal doesn't even start till 8 pm :o ) and my mum & sister & nephews will hopefully have been up on that day so I will be even more worn out from kids running around. I will have to make a decision soon though as she's booking the table today or tomorrow.

I hope everyone is well? I will try and catch up with the top few diaries on my user cp now but typing is hard with one hand :rotfl: so i'm not sure i'll get very far

    Hi DFW

You sound a lot better. Make sure you get lots of rest though.

I think that if you really don't want to go on Sunday evening then just tell them but if you just aren't sure then maybe ask them to book you a seat and warn them that you might pull out at the last minute depending on how you feel on the day. I don't think anyone would bat an eyelid at either of those options after what you have just been through.

    Take care.
  • Glad to hear you are home and feeling much better.

Take care of yourself. Don't overstretch to things that will tire you out and that you don't think you can budget to. Get togethers can be arranged afterwards.

Never even occurred to me about DH being gone in all of this! No wonder you were frantic at the hospital!! Poor kids, poor MiL, poor you!!

    Hugs, feel better xx

  • Hi DFW,

Don't stress about not being able to post of other diaries, we all completely understand how tricky it is, and the sound of you splitting open that cut just makes me feel queezy _pale_

Go slow today and then hopefully your family can help you on Sunday.

I know if it were me I wouldn't want to go out Sunday night, not just because of the money but just the being not 100%. plus there is nothing more depressing than spending money and not feeling well enough to enjoy it. :o.

Take care hun, I will check in again soon xx

Speedy recovery wishes. I'm glad you realized you needed medical help! That sounds like a nasty infection and could have been a lot worse if it had been left!!
