Also how much did you pay for your 32gb class 10 card?
You don't need class 10 SD - class 4 is enough
on Mobius, a 10 min clip = about 1GB - as a crash cam I imagine you don't really need to keep as much as 320 mins of footage before it starts to loop ?

If you have an accident, it is useful to record the aftermath and have any discussions with other drivers in front of your car with your camera recording these discussions including the audio.

This means you may want to make sure you do have a decent amount of storage on the card.

I have this cheapy one - it does everything I want - 7 hrs recording time (on a 16GB SD card) and runs for 3 to 4 hours on the internal battery.

There are of course much better cameras at a much higher price - which give GPS position and your speed superimposed on the picture - I'd love to have one, but this is a money-saving forum and I can't stretch to buy one of them.

Here's short clip of what it can do - It's not meant to be viewed full screen by the way. I also learned NOT to leave things on the dash as the camera catches their reflection on the windscreen.

after lots of reading this top thread Im thinking of trying out a cheaper camera first rather than forking out more than £50 for Mobius.
is this any good like yours iceweasel?

I welcome any tips on how to fit a usb A-B cable between the windscreen and pillar, there seems to be no room on my car. can you buy an ultra fine or thin cable?

Buy cheap buy twice. Why when a decent one has been reviewed and shown to be quite good at most jobs?

Checkout the quality on some of the cheaper ones. You cannot make out a numbr plate of a car 3 feet in front of your car.
Thats no good. You want some quality.

yeah I thought it that was works I would use as a rear camera or some other use and a good one on the front, but I did find some buyers in HK selling the Mobius for £43. but you are right why buy cheap when tried and test model works!

There are a lot of this type of camera on the market, I have one that looks very similar if not the same model, however I am lucky to get 15 minutes out of the internal battery if it is not connected to a power source, so I dispute 3 to 4 hours. Also on HD? the display states 8 hours 35 minutes, but only records about 3 hours when actually recording on a 16GB, (class 4), SD card.

The one I have is this one on Amazon at £13.75 inc P&P, and the last reviewer,(12 months ago), states, "I have mine set to 1280x720 [HD], which provides 6.5 hours of continuous video with audio recording on a 32GB card."

So my time of about 3 hours on a 16GB card seems more accurate.

Looking at the clips from that site the definition is nothing to write home about. Only possible to read number plate of car in front when it had stopped at lights and camera was right up behind it

That appears to have an LCD screen which would be facing the driver.

If it does then you may want to check the law on having moving images within view of the driver.
