Wegle I really enjoy your weekly round ups and you are doing superbly well. I am also finding time dragging and motivation a little lacking so I now exactly what you mean. I bet there's plenty of us in that same boat. Funny really, I used to live for payday so I could spend it - now I live for payday so I can clear my debt! It's amazing what a small attitude adjustment can do for you!
And some modelling in a BRIDAL SHOW!!! Could anything be more fun?!?! I mean, really?!?! Lucky, lucky duck! Have a blast! I am mucho green with envy!I bet you have the best time. Who doesn't love being dressed up in a wedding dress?! Fingers crossed there's a few pennies in it for you too - that would be the cherry on the wedding cake! x

Wow well what a day yesterday was. I was absolutely shattered by the time I got home!!
College was good, I think this year is going to be a lot more interesting and relevant than last year which is good. I also got my marks back for 2 of my modules and I got distinctions in both!! Woo hoo!! I need to do 8 modules in total and need to get distinction in 5 in order to get a distinction overall so I’m well on my way. Should hear about the other 2 modules I’ve already completed next week. I did spend £7.85 on coffee and Gregg’s which is naughty as I’d only budgeted £5. Must remember to take my own lunch next week!
I’ve also got a fair bit of debt busting news which is great because it did feel like things had started to flag a little bit.
My eBay sales finished and should net me £20.91 after all the fees are paid.
I’ve paid a further £10 to my credit card from the last eBay sale from last week. I don’t like to take the money out of paypal until I receive feedback just in case there is a problem with the sale and this last one was dragging their heels! They’ve done it now so I can take that out.
I’ve also had a bonza couple of days on surveys. I finally received the £10 payout I redeemed 2 weeks ago! I also hit another £10 limit and got that paid out straight away! So in total today I have paid £30 off my CC!!!!
I’m also up to 14 NSDs as Monday was a NSD. Obviously yesterday wasn’t and today won’t be either but I’m confident that Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun will be, which will get me to 18 for the month!!!
With only 4 days until payday I have £9.84 left in my bank account and I’ve still go the £286.55 hidden away ready to slam on the CC on Sunday. I’m pretty pleased with how well I have budgeted this month, I’ve had some additional expenses that I didn’t forsee and I’ve still managed to have a little remaining in the bank. I think I need to re-do my SOA though to reflect that I’m back at college now. I’ll probably wait until the end of the month though because then I can look through my spending diary and get a nice accurate picture.
With the payments I’ve made to my CC today I’m at 6.66% of total debt paid!! Same as HOK3Y, we’re a couple of devil debt slayers!!
Right I’m off to update my signature!!0 -
Oh you do sooooo well with those surveys wegle! Congrats on everything you have achieved in the last couple of days - well done! Been mucking around with my figures this morning, just trying to get my SOA 100% refined.
I've added in an allowance for college and also hound and I will be starting back at dog agility in a couple of weeks so have put that in. I have reduced my entertainment budget to compensate for this. Realistically £80 pcm was too much anyway. Hubby can be responsible for providing the entertainment! And dog agility will be entertainment anyway. So by trimming and tweaking I think I've managed to find an extra £9 a month!! Whoop!
In other news.... Our new car is at the dealers!!!!!! :j:j:jYay!! Excited much!!:j:j:j Not sure when we can pick it up yet but I can't wait. This does mean we're going to have a couple of expenses associated with it. My predictions being:
* £80 fee to move my private number plate from old car to new one
* £125 price for 2 years gap insurance
* £30 admin fee to tell insurers we have new car
* £30 admin fee to tell insurers the reg has changed
I'm hoping I can negotiate the two admin fees, but if I can't these can probably be spread out over the remaining months of our policy. I will have to use savings for the other 2 but we will be selling our old car so hopefully we will re-coup this and a little bit more so it can all go back in the pot.
No other debt busting news though. Hubster spent all morning winding me up as he just got in from nights and got curled up in bed whilst I was getting ready for work. It was all dark and horrible and he kept banging on about how nice and cosy he was!! Grrrr! Not fair!! I'll forgive him though because he works so hard!0 -
Oh there was some sort of debt related news.
Hubby and I had a chat about our grocery budget as we went over it this month by about £50. I normally do a big online shop at the beginning of the month and then top this up as and when we need stuff, bread, eggs etc.
However on doing a kitchen stock take we still have a lot of food in that we haven't used. We've decided to switch to a weekly shop where I will only buy what we have run out of the week before. I'm hoping this will help to keep an eye on the spends a bit more and reduce the amount spent on items that we don't end up eating (like the 10 tins of spaghetti we have in the cupboard!!). This will also cut down on the amount of little spends at our local shop which is more expensive than Tescos.
Going to start on Friday when Hubby gets paid, so my job tonight is to write up the shopping list and then stick to it!0 -
Ooooo even more debt busting news. I got a £5 Amazon voucher for some market research I did! I've applied this to my Amazon account and am going to save it to go towards Christmas presents! This puts me up to £96.17 extra made this month!0

Hello everyone!!
Things are ticking along nicely here. Had a NSD yesterday which puts me to 15! :j:j That was my extended target and still got 4 days until next month so going to try for another 3! Can I do it?? I blooming hope so. Should be a bit easier as hubby has been paid so I can do the grocery shopping after work today, which means I won't be tempted to pop to the shops! I've also still only got £9.84 in my account so not a lot I could spend anyway! :rotfl:
I usually do our shopping through mysupermarket and then order online but this is a pain as you have to wait for delivery or for a collection slot so what I have done today is go on mysupermarket so I can identify the best deals and have now downloaded there app on my phone and I can transfer the shopping from the site to my phone to use as a shopping list. This saves me standing for ages in the aisle with a calculator trying to work out which is the best value! Hubby will be coming with me and I've told him that the list must be stuck to. No additions. He's got his one treat on there so doesn't need anything extra! I'm going to use the £3 vouchers I got for a survey I completed as well. Also need to pop to petsathome to get hound food and I have a 10% off voucher for signing up to their VIP club to use.
I'm really looking forward to Sunday when I can pay that big chunk off my CC. It's going to feel good!!!!! Hopefully I'll also be receiving an email from the lottery people saying our syndicate has hit the big one!! One can dream!! :T
Hubby is still on nights and it looks like he might be asked to work the weekend as well.I miss him when he's working hard but he wants to do it so that we can save towards all the nice plans we've got for the future. I should be grateful that I have such a dedicated and hardworking husband but it can get a bit lonely sometimes.
Nothing much really planned for the weekend. Got a couple of baking projects which will use up some of the ingredients I've got in the cupboards. I've also got a bit of homework to do for college so will get that done as well. Oh and I also need to sort out our gas and electric switch as our fixed term finishes at the end of October.
Hope everyone else is having a great debt busting day! Oh I found 10p on the floor last night while trying to find hubby's notebook with his internet banking details on it!0
