Oh. My. God.
That is ridiculous! Completely unnacceptable behaviour on his part. If it were me he probably wouldn't have been invited to stay again for quite some time.
What did you do?!
The problem is that he is my oh's Dad, and the kids love him! I look at it that we don't see him very often, and he is getting on in years. He is the sort who would never speak to us if the subject was brought up and arguments caused, and really its not worth rocking the boat as I don't want hubby and the kids cut off from him. So I just suck it up even though it goes against everything I believe, and even though it really narks me.
To be honest the meal thing was so shocking it's quite funny!
I suppose it's interesting how he sees me - I work full time split over a part time paid job, with the majority of time and income generated from self employment. I mentioned I was going to pack in the part time work to build my business up and he told me not to bother as I won't make a decent living from it! (basically not good enough) that says it all really!:mad:
Moneymash - hope you are ok and not too shaken by it all, I agree that a nice hot bath to relax you will work wonders. Sending *hugs*LBM 1.1.16 = £27096.59 - now £17,020.38

There are some fascinating stories on here today - love reading about your dramas - it does put things into perspective though.
Another SfD and AFD for me, plus a packed lunch and meals using the contents of freezer, garden and food cupboard. I expect week 1 is always easier - a bit like dieting? Here's hoping it'll be habit forming.January GC 299/300
