    Evening!

Hope everyone's well :) Apologies for not posting yesterday, straight after my 2nd interview I headed over to my friend's for a girly night. Anyway, got a second interview for one promo company, and the other hired me straight away and I have my first shift tomorrow, giving people free bits of cake of all things! :jAnd I'm working four days so far next week :j:j I might have to adjust my travel budget for the month, I wasn't expecting to get work straight away!

    Quick update of my aims:

    Food £18.52/£100
    Transport £70.40/£100
    Misc £0/£200
    Beauty £0/£10
    Food bank £0/£3

  • Didn't get chance to post yesterday, suffice to say it wasn't an alcohol free day

So today I spent 80 pence on a bag of crisps (my budget not the household budget) and £5.45 at Sainsburys topping up fresh fruit for the week-end.

Swimming tonight and another take my lunch to work day.

    Evening!!!

Have decided I'm actually a 1950's woman trapped in a gay man's body!!! I'd love to meet a guy that would pay for me to stay at home and *never* work!!! I actually like housework lol and think of all those books and coffees with friends I could have... <sigh> I uhmmm wouldn't want to wear the frocks though lol so you can keep them Kat!

Well today was going to be a SFD but then had to pay £6.00 p&p for a return envelope for some work I'm sending off to be marked. Drat and double dratt.

On the plus my protein powder arrived - hello yummy vanilla shakes... and some Udo's oil (very healthy) and some green's powders for extra nutrients in my shakes!!! Bet it's all gonna taste like doo-doo mind :(

    Catch you all soon!!!

Well done and have fun with all the cake!

I've had a SFD yay! I wanted something sweet and in proper mse style and fully embracing the challenge instead if buying chocolate I remembered I'm a pretty ok baker and knocked up some cookies with stuff I already had in! (Pic on Facebook soon)

I was meant to have a puff pastry tart thing for tea but when I defrosted the pp to use it it was just gooey and nasty so I had to chuck it. Disaster averted I whisked up three eggs and had the weirdest omelette ever with the ingredients I was meant to use for the tart, different but tasty and very September Step Up!

Gotta get on the exercise bandwagon though, I'm failing so far!
  • Good evening Hot Steppers!

SFD today- taking my total to 3/18 :j

I have just up-cycled an old dress for my friend's wedding on Saturday. Just stitched the straps so that it sits more respectfully on my chest! And have also brought the front up a little with a corsage to show a cheeky bit of leg. Add a petticoat style skirt underneath and it looks like a whole new dress (with the right accessories!). Money spent on New dress for wedding= £0!

My friend and her H2B are heading to Alaska for their Honeymoon (jealous much), so I have made them a lil 'Alaska Survival kit' by recycling and decorating my old graze box with pwetty travel paper and string (I already owned), today. I have re-gifted a mini hot water bottle and candles, some glow sticks, poppers and just spent £3 on an emergency blanket and a bag of fruit and nut nibbles (incase they are tempted to go all 'Into the Wild' on us). I have also put a letter and some 'useful info' in there and tied a bit of string round a £5 for a 'warming beverage.' I hadn't the time to get money converted to $'s, plus I really am on a shoe-string budget- but the kit looks great! I did something similar for wedding a couple of months ago 'Mexico survival kit.' Lots of Fun to put together!! :T

Ladymay- Congrats with the new job- how speedy was that?!

Hope you are all having a most pleasant evening! Nearly time for that Friday feeling!!!! (NSK those are non-alcoholic lemonade floats they're clinking...ahem)
    :coffee:

  • Quick check in again I'm afraid. I'll be glad when this first week of delivering catalogues is over and I can arrange a proper routine.

It was a low spend day today. £1 on a drink for DS, £1.24 for a drink for me and 99p for some squash. Oh and I forgot the takeaway we had . I must try and get tea on the table for when DH comes home otherwise if he's had a bad day he automatically reverts to a takeaway. It's a bit hard with 2 small children but I'll get there.

I'm hoping for a SFD tomorrow as we will be buying lunch on Saturday at DS's birthday party. I'm hoping that DH's company picnic that we're going to on Sunday is all free. We haven't been told that we have to pay so here's hoping :D

Ladymay congrats on the new job.
